The Blackstone Grille

Had a wonderful dining experience here at Blackstone. Tish, our sever was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. My steak was cooked perfectly, and I loved the corn pudding (not in the photo) Looking forward to my next visit.

Our friends invited us to dine with them at Blackstone Grille. My wife and I have never been to Blackstone, but what a great experience we had dining with them at this establishment.

My wife ordered the Brutus (Caesar) salad which consisted of tossed Romaine with a creamy Caesar dressing. The salad was topped with shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano. She added a slice of salmon to go with her salad. The salmon was char-grilled with brown sugar with a lemon-balsamic reduction. The salmon was served with a side of fresh asparagus. She reveled in the various favors of her choices.

My friend tried the Chicken Scarborough which was accompanied by country ham Au Gratin potatoes and corn pudding. The chicken was boneless and skinless breasts sauteed with Cremini mushrooms, garlic, bourbon (well, we are in Kentucky), teriyaki, pineapple, and a splash of cream. There were also Kentucky country ham ribbons added to this great dish. He had no complaints and enjoyed it very much.

My friend's wife ordered the Springer Mountain Fried Chicken. The two 5oz boneless-skinless breasts were lightly seasoned and, as the menu stated, gently fried. She had green beans and mashed potatoes as her sides. She wasn't disappointed in her selections.

I treated myself to a very savory grilled Berkshire Double -Cut pork chop. The chop was a 10oz cut. The glaze was a smoked honey bourbon (Yeah, use a lot of bourbon here in Kentucky) smoked paprika glaze. The chop was accompanied by a chili-maple mustard. This chop was one of the best I have had the pleasure to enjoy. My sides were collard greens (We are in the South) and green beans. I didn't care for the green beans much because they were the crisp type, not the country style.  But, that's just my taste.

All were served with fresh rolls and butter. We had an order of Spinach Queso with warm house-made tortilla chips, but they were devoured before I could snap a picture.

Blackstone is an absolutely a great dining experience. The atmosphere is spot on! Our waiter, Yancy, was very professional. He just didn't take out orders but engaged with us about our selections, etc. The bar is somewhat small, but well stocked. There is ample parking. We will be dining at Blackstone again and encourage you to do the same. Enjoy!

I just had dinner at Blackstone Grille. I’m from out of town and just popped in hoping to get a seat at the bar. That eventually happened but the service there is bar none. The hostess Layla and the two bartenders Lauren and Lo made the entire experience. From me calling ahead speaking to Layla, both Lauren and Lo bartending, go my to-go order, everything was done so well. Not only did they take care of the regulars (which I completely respect) but they couldn’t have been nicer and attentive to me who was just one person from out of town and just stopped in on the hopes of getting a seat at the bar. When I got home and actually ate my steak burger I could not have been happier. The meat was incredible, cooked to perfection and so good even when it was a take out order. If you can’t tell yet I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. On a random Wednesday night I had the best restaurant experience that I have been in a very, very long time. The food was fantastic but those gals were so impressive. It was crowded but they did everything with a huge smile on their face. Well done Blackstone! I wish I could contact the owners directly so I’m hoping that this will get back to them. I can’t wait to go back on my next trip!

Me and my family just had dinner here. This is a wonderful place for all ages to come and enjoy a nice meal. I must give a massive props to Cameron. He was a exceptional waiter and really knew what he was doing 😉. Can’t wait to come back soon. Tootles!

We had heard good things about the Blackstone Grille and they were right - the food and service were wonderful! We enjoyed the most tender, melt-in-your mouth pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans I've had since my mother and grandmother used to cook! The brownie dessert made our anniversary celebration even more special!!

What a beautiful hidden gem. Wonderful clean and comfortable atmosphere. We will be telling people about The Blackstone grill.

My go to neighborhood hangout. Best Ribeye and Salmon and pork chop in town. For a fun casual experience, eat in the bar. For a more relaxed formal dining experience, eat in the dining room.

The food was good but the best thing about this place is the service. People working here are amazingly sweet and nice. Max is one of the young men working here, he is very pleasant and super helpful. His suggestion of what to eat were spot on.

Bartenders are the best part. Food is good. Wish they’d bring back the larger menu.

Blackstone grill is my favorite restaurant. I remember I went here for my 9th birthday, and I was mature enough to go, and sure enough, I had a great time. I went for my next four birthdays and loved it every time. When I was turning nine, some people wrote "Happy Birthday" on a ten dollar bill. The servers are so nice, and treated me like an adult.

I've been living within ten minutes of this place for nearly half my life, and we just never tried it out... And I really regret it. Very good food and service, both of which greatly exceeded my expectations. We started with the spinach queso, then my party ordered the quesadilla, fried fish sandwich, bison spare ribs, and mahi mahi sandwich. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and there were no complaints other than we couldn't finish every last bite.

Price is higher than other local restaurants, but the quality is better than anything else in this area!

We will definitely return!

Since I posted this review three years ago, we've eaten at Blackstone Grille probably a dozen times or more. It is officially my favorite locale--the food and service has never disappointed. So lucky to have a great place like this just minutes from home.

Great family meal with 5 of us. Food was great as was the service. A go to place for us when we're in town.

We took my mother for brunch today. All stations were well maintained and all selections were fresh, warm and delicious. Standouts included the fried chicken, beef tenderloin, spinach casserole, glazed salmon and pea salad. All the desserts were wonderful as well. The bread pudding and mini cream puffs were delectable. The service was excellent and very attentive. Even though we were at the last seating, the food was plentiful, quickly restocked and we were never felt rushed or encouraged to leave. We will make this a mothers day tradition. My only hope is that they will bring back their old recipe for their sautéed mushrooms.

The food and service were exceptional. Will definitely be there again.

My husband and I had a great dinner here last night. We had the lobster wontons, definite must try, they are fantastic. I had the filet, cooked a perfect medium rare and my husband had the Chicken Scarborough. He said his was great. And we took home a piece of their pecan pie and the cheesecake with the topping of the day which was caramel and Heath crumbles. Both were so good. So glad we finally tried this place in-person. All the staff were kind and everyone was properly masked. We will be back for sure.

Been going to this place about 20 years. Absolutely love it! Great food. Wonderful staff. Always crowded and with good reason. Takes a while to get there from where we live (40206), but it's a lovely drive out and back on River Road.

Have gone to the Blackstone Grille for both my Birthday and now Mother's Day to celebrate with family. The food is excellent, service top notch, and has an upscale, yet casual, feel to it. I recommend the Brown Sugar Salmon, Fried Chicken Breasts, or their delicious Blackstone Burger. However, you cannot loose with any item on their eclectic menu.

I am writing mainly about the bar area of the Blackstone Grill. Four of us ladies have a monthly “board meeting” there and we do enjoy and look forward to it. The atmosphere is cozy and warm but most of all the main bartender. She is wonderful, along with the servers, and hard working. We can’t thank her enough!!!! The main dining room is wonderful but the bar is our favorite. Thank you, Katie Freeman

Blackstone is an outstanding hidden Louisville gem. Besides a diverse menu, the nightly specials are out of this world! Homemade Chicken Pot Pie on Tuesday‘s, to Prime Rib 1/2 price bourbon on Wednesday’s. You won’t leave hungry, thirsty or unhappy. My wife and I just love the staff , atmosphere and awesome food! Blackstone is definitely a place where everyone knows your name!

Edit to add: After a few more dining experiences with family and friends I can't help but reiterate what an outstanding restaurant this is. The atmosphere and service are great but they really shine where it matters most: the fare. Every meal here is simply fantastic.
