Safier Mediterranean Deli

This place is great! I was walking down on a Sunday, most places were closed but I saw a line at this place and figured I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did! I ordered the chicken schwarma meal and substituted in hummus and tabouli. I’ve had chicken schwarma from Athens, London, Dearborn, and many other places - this was some of the best I’ve ever had! I’m happy I stopped by, wish I’d have ordered more!

Cozy little place that always serve such healthy alternatives to the mainstream. I work around the corner and come here often as it provides vegetarian and vegan alternatives to the main meats out there.

We eat here all the time. The falafel is so fire! The staff is really nice and fast! The hummus is heavenly. 1000% recommend to anyone that likes Mediterranean food. Vegan friendly ❤❤❤

The food was excellent. The chicken shawarma sandwich or the chicken shawarma platter never disappoints. I always order an extra side of garlic sauce for dipping. Everyone always nice and pleasant. I definitely go on my lunch breaks often !

Best Mediterranean food I've found! My office has ordered it delivered many times but this was my first time dining in. Small Cafe style super busy but very efficient! Their delivery is good the dine in is AMAZING!!
Best Hummus ever and their falafel are fresh and delicious! If your dish doesn't come with garlic sauce get a cup, you won't regret it.

Very delicious and healthy and filling. Got the chicken shawarma. The chicken was well made and seasoned nicely. The rice was flavorful, the salad and tomatoes were great, the hummus and tzatziki were fantastic accompaniments, and to top it all off the baklava was perfection, with subtle hints of rose water and not overly sweet. I came in close to their closing so I could tell the chicken wasn’t the most fresh, but it was still fantastic. Left feeling happy and satisfied.

This place was great! The price was fair and the guy (owner?? manager?) very hospitable and could tell that he wanted to make sure everyone was happy.
I had the spinach app. (can't remember the name) the taste was bitter which I didn't expect, but I think that's a common flavor for this type of dish.
The lentil soup was okay and super large. The sandwich was bigger than my hand and so cheap! Kabob plate was filling and delicious.
Would definitely recommend trying this place out!!

Service is quick, professional and friendly. If anything unknown or unclear, just ask. For example you can request spicy sauce or replace part of your platter. 👍🙌

Street parking or parking lot, but on Sunday plenty parking available so it was a breeze. You can sit inside or outside. The place is clean and inviting.

Extensive menu with all the great things you can expect in Mediterranean cuisine. From vegetarian plates to beef and chicken kabobs.

Overall I was thrilled with my experience and will be here often. Really good value, hummus is one of the best and creamier I've ever had. ❤

Freaking awesome small and local Mediterranean place - incredibly respectable and efficient business. If I lived in Louisville this would be a regular place for me to go to. Everything’s pretty cheap, they’re very fast, and everything is delicious. Service is simple and awesome, and the environment is pleasant. No complaints whatsoever, I’d love to come back if I ever get the chance and I wish I could’ve gotten everything.

I became a customer more than ten years ago. I liked this place back then! I still like it today! The menu features many Mediterranean dishes that I crave for. Fast and Efficient Service! Friendly Atmosphere! Reasonable Prices! Clean!

I stopped here for dinner while in town on business. The chicken schawarma platter was a nice healthy option.

The chicken was moist and came on rice, with half a pita and a side salad.

Great food overall! Chicken shawarma is heaven. Hummus has an unusual flavor that's not my thing, but everything else I've tried is excellent and in generous portions. The ideal takeout meal.

Hands down my favorite place to eat in Louisville. I LOVE their dolmas. Great food, great service. Clean establishment, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The only negative is that there isn't one closer to my home. Going downtown is a drain!

Absolute a Louisville Institution now, Safier Deli has been a mainstay in downtown Louisville for close to 2 decades. Best hummus this side of the Atlantic!

Amazing Mediterranean food. Lamb Shanks on Saturdays are a must have. Mango Lassi is the best I've had in my short but sweet stay in Louisville.

The chicken shawarma is absolutely amazing! Love the Greek salad too. Large portions and very reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and even when they are busy, the service is very fast. Highly recommend! (Pictured is my chicken shawarma and Greek salad which I got to go - so much food right?!)
