Next Step 4 ADHD

NextStep has been extremely helpful in both the diagnosing and therapy department. Their initial onboarding program for new patients was a great way to be introduced to the in-depth system they have to offer. I’ve enjoyed my visits so far, and have been since early 2023. Amazing life changing experience. My ADHD went undiagnosed for 33 years and I was on the verge of divorce, being jobless and hating myself and the parent I was being. Now my marriage is thriving, I love my career, my kids enjoy being around me and I am happier than I have ever been. Dr. Briscoe is sincere, caring and really listened and worked with me to help get me to a stable place. Pam, the Coach, was incredible with setting me up with small daily habits that really made an impact. I speak so highly of them and recommend Next Step ADHD to anyone really wanting answers and solutions. Dr. Briscoe worked with me to find the right medication I knew I needed. It doesn't make me have up and downs, and it really helps me with my anger and daily focus, its a tool I use for my ADHD. My life is forever bettered because of Dr. Briscoe's patience and knowledge.

After self diagnosing ADHD at age 50 and being confirmed by a psychiatrist......decided to quickly get the best available treatment possible! My husband found this place online. For years I struggled with school and work. I just assumed mentally I was lazy and unfocused. A friend recommended I see someone about the possibility of having adhd. I met with Dr. Briscoe roughly 1 year and half ago. Since then my life has changed drastically. After reading about adhd and learning techniques on how to improve it, I can say I am a new person. I'm excelling in my job, my family life and personally I believe in myself again. I cant say enough of how appreciative I am to Dr. Briscoe and his team.

Now that the WHO has officially declared the pandemic —over— I can honestly say Dr. Brian Briscoe (and staff) helped me survive COVID and all the stress and madness it entailed.

Only reason for 4.5/5 stars is because they do not accept health insurance [I have no idea how to submit a claim for some monetary reimbursement]. However, I totally understand the rationale behind their decision and I do not consider it to be the fault of this practice (but instead the medical field as a whole).

Would I recommend this practice to a friend, family member, and/or stranger? Absolutely.

My daughter began treatment from Dr. Kristi Briscoe a couple of years ago. We had been happy with her care until around the time the pandemic began when we started to notice that her recommendations on dosage for her medicines were just repeated cycles up and down with vague explanations. While dosage increases and decreases did create SOME noticeable changes at times, there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the suggestions other than, the current dosage wasn’t working so either up or reduce it.

The second issue we have had is the incomprehensibly awful communication from the office staff and the lack of continuity from one staff member to another. I have practically had to beg for a superbill on several occasions and was treated with hostility by a staff member once when they called to ask why i hadn’t paid for an e-visit appointment yet prior to the appointment.

The third issue is that almost EVERY SINGLE TIME we tried to refill her prescriptions, there was an issue. I do not say this lightly. We worked very hard to try to get her meds in time only to have it completely biffed by Dr. Briscoe on many, many occasions. This was what ultimately made our decision to find a new doctor.

The final issue is that I have messaged Dr. Briscoe several times about continuity of care for my daughter. Her staff responded to let me know that they had forwarded the info to her, but I have yet to hear from her.

If you are looking for psych care for yourself or your child i would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere.

The star is only for the nice women in the front office. Terrible review for the doctors in my opinion. Thank you for your kindness front office.
