I saw Dr. Thompson before he stopped taking insurance and would still be a patient but for that change. I wish that insurance reimbursement were sufficient to enable all psychiatrists to practice their craft with the care and dedication that he does. If you can afford it and are willing to pay for it, you'll receive some of the best care that Louisville has to offer.

Dr Taylor has been taking care of my daughter for 7 years now, and she is finally healthy, happy and amazing! He is the kindest doctor we have dealt with, and I owe him so much gratitude for what he has done for her.

I have been a patient there for many years. He is by far the most compassionate, he listens and hears more importantly he understands and always putting his patients well being top priority. He is a man of his word...he will put you first. I have much respect for him not only as a psychiatrist but as a human being. Thank you Dr. T.

Dr. Thompson is fantastic! He's professional, caring, attentive, and genuinely cares about a patient's overall well-being. He listens and includes patients in their care plan. He doesn't just hand you a prescription and send you on your way. He works with you to develop the right treatment plan that works for you and if it's not working, he will continue trying new things until he finds something that does work. Even after he stopped taking insurance, I was more than willing to pay out of pocket to continue seeing him.

Today I had my first visit with River City and Dr.Taylor and this was a real psychiatrist visit! I have been to psychiatrists before and therapists but felt like just another number not a individual with mental problems. This was by far the most detail I have received about my mental condition. I have to admit I was hesitant due to the fill out paperwork first then we will call you but I’m so glad that I went with them. In my opinion this allows them to assign a psychiatrist to your particular needs and allows you to immediately have a connection with them! After years of mental problems I finally feel like this is the place I should have turned to first. The front office was extremely polite and helpful. Thanks, River City and Dr.Taylor!

Dr. Taylor is very patient, caring about patients goals to better mental and behavioral issues. Staff is always wonderful and very attentive.

Dr. Ashby has provided continued fabulous care for my son with ADHD and anxiety issues. We travel over two hours for these visits.

Dr. Wozniak is the best. She's been my psychiatrist for over 10 years. She's attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!!

Dr Taylor and the receptionist are understanding, professional and I am very happy with the care.

Its impossible to get an appointment here! They obviously don't need money and are not compassionate. You can't even call to make an appointment, you have to send on paperworks by fax (like you are some bussiness), and wait for a call from the office for an appointment. Do they realize they are a psychiatrist and not a gynecologist and someone may need their assistance sooner then later??? The receptionist was not understanding and hung up on me.

Extremely frustrating experience. Andrea in administration treats you like you are an inconvenience to her day. She wouldn't even tell me what the doctor's availability was until I submitted a full self-eval online. Even then, you have to wait 2-3 business days to hear back if they will even "accept" you! She makes the new patient registration process exceptionally frustrating.

I left this place in 2012. Dr Thompson seemed ok at first. However, after a year, he had me on seraquil and one night it cut off my air supply and I had to go to the hospital because if it. I had an appointment 2 days later to talk to him and told him I wantwa going to take it again and we needed to find something else to try. He kept telling me no and kept pushing it on me. So I just didn't take it. A month later he put me on clonazapam and I was fine and then when we started weaning me off, I ran out of refills and told him I needed another script for the lower dose and he said no. That I'd be fine quitting it all at once. Thanks to him, I now have to take medication for seizures that started right after he said no. After then, I went to the office several times and called several times to get my patient records to take to the new Dr. They either wouldn't call me back, kept making excuses, or when I was in there, andrea kept making excuses about Thompson being out of the office when I could clearly hear him talking in the back. So finally they gave them to me with no problem after i told them I had an attorney that I was gonna use to take them to court for everything they did if they wouldn't give me my records. I don't recommend them at all!

My dad was a patient after 20 years I drops him because he got a coupe of early refills only by a day or 2 and leaves Him in the cold to withdraw off a very dangerous medication I believe it’s malpractice contacted attorneys and looking to make suit
