Michaelis Events & Catering

I recently coordinated an event for active duty military in the Louisville metro area. Michaelis Catering had exceptionally professional staff and I received numerous compliments on the quality of the food. Anyone should strongly consider them for their next event!

I used Michaelis to cater and bar tend at my wedding. I spoke with Lauren throughout my planning period. She was helpful in providing answers to all the questions I had. She was polite and responsive. Day of my event, the staff showed up at the arranged time and quickly went to work putting the linens on so we could finish our decorations. Candace, Norman, Herbert and Ella were the staff at my event. All of them were very polite and helpful. Candace even helped out on some items not included in my contract. Norman was a great bar tender, following my signature cocktails, keeping the bar orderly and drinks flowing through the night. We did a host provided bar, so Norman didn't know what he was working with until we spoke day of. The food was good, the chicken was slightly dry, but I kind of expect quality to suffer some with a buffet. Dinner went smoothly and staff was quick to remove dirty plates and empty drinks. The staff was quick to cut the cake and put away leftovers for us to take home. I would look into using Michaelis again for any larger event I may have!

Please forgive the tardiness of this message. I can't believe it's been almost a week since Annie and Tyler's wedding day. We have been in Georgia this week and things have been a little hectic.

I want to thank you and your entire team for everything you all did to make Annie and Tyler's wedding and reception so special. From the flowers to the dinner and fabulous wedding cake, you covered every detail. Annie said early on that she thought you understood their vision and she was right. Thank you for being so easy to work with.

I thought you were great during all the planning and then we were blown away by the service we received at the reception. Annie and Tyler were so excited at their "first look" of the Barrel Room. And when my husband looked at me as all your servers came out with the dinner plates, he had he biggest smile. He knew we were in good hands.

We had never been to The Pointe before we started planning Annie's wedding and were not familiar with Michaelis Events, but now we are huge fans!

Thanks again for handling all our requests and for sending off the new Mr. and Mrs. Fraser with the best possible celebration.

We used them for a Corporate Recognition Dinner at the Louisville Slugger Museum and the food and decor were amazing! The planning process was a breeze and the staff and service were top notch. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend using Michaelis Events! After fully booking with them, we were unable to have our wedding due to COVID. Lauren kept in contact with us the whole time and ended up giving us a credit to use. We used them for two catering events, the food was incredible and our guests loved it (especially the mini cheesecake bites)! She was responsive and SO helpful and even sent us food using the remaining deposit money so none of it went to waste. I highly recommend Michaelis, you will not be disappointed!

We couldn't have dreamt up a better "all inclusive" vendor AND staff then Michaelis. From the start, Lauren was so helpful. We really knew nothing, besides what you read online, about catering and such. So Lauren was so helpful in answers our 1000 questions, literally!! From the start, she made up so many different catering and bar contracts for us. It was amazing. We had our tasting for the food which made us even more excited! Then, Crystal was there our day of. She helped with day of operations and stood back with me before I was going to walk down the aisle! They did our decor and catering. We loved the decor so much. You could tell the entire staff was there to make our day run as smoothly as possible. They can do anything and everything at that company, you just gotta ask. They are amazing, THANK YOU GUYS!

My first experience using Michaelis Events & Catering was for a 100 person St. Patrick's Day employee luncheon. Michaelis came up with a fun themed menu, in addition to a gorgeous balloon arch and floral centerpieces. Michaelis is a one-stop shop for event catering and decor! I have used them several times since then and they have done a wonderful job.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with the ME team. I decided to plan my wedding in 5 months and could not have done it without them - I used their catering, bar, cake and decor services. They worked closely with me to create an amazing menu that was within our budget and even pleased my very picky husband.

The flowers and decor - just wow! I've received so many comments from guests about how beautifully decorated everything was. And the flowers were amazing. Period. My advice when working with the decor team is to give them an idea of your vision, let them come back with their ideas, and be open minded! The team is extremely creative and does beautiful work.

Even though my wedding was somewhat small (60 guests), I felt like I received a ton of attention from the team and that they went above and beyond to accommodate every request (and if they couldn't, to suggest an alternative). As the wedding date approached, they updated me frequently on status and gently reminded me (sometimes multiple times) when they needed answers from me to move forward. They remained calm throughout the process and their confidence calmed me down!

The full team did an amazing job with every detail - I very highly recommend Michaelis Events!!!

The Catering Company was such a pleasure to work with in planning our wedding. Michelle was very responsive to all of my (many) questions, concerns, etc, and went out of her way to ensure that every detail was taken care of and that everything was exactly how I had envisioned it. They worked within our budget to create a wonderful meal, and the serving staff at our event was very professional and made everything go off without a hitch. The food was delicious, the presentation was great, and all needs and accommodations were met without a flaw.

I can not begin to tell you how amazing The Catering Company is. I live in Dallas and had to put together an event in Louisville. I was a bit concerned how I was going to pull this off. From day 1 Lauren was very responsive and very helpful. She made my job very easy and made me look great. ;) The event was a huge hit. The food was top notch and the staff was outstanding. They were attentive to all of our guests, helpful and very friendly. I look forward to next year!

We used Michaelis Events & Catering for a very large catering order for over 1,100 staff members being delivered to multiple locations for three weeks. They did an impeccable job from the food to the price to the detail! Everything was spot on and made my job a whole lot easier. I would definitely use them again in the future!

Michaelis Events & Catering does an amazing job! I am an event coordinator for an entertainment venue in Louisville, and we have been using Michaelis Events for our catering for about 2 years now. Their food is always delicious and visually appealing. The staff has always been professional and super helpful. I highly recommend their services!

We did TWO weddings with Michaelis as our catering company. They are hands down professional, friendly, quick to respond to questions, get you quotes and work with you on everything. The food is amazing and the service they provide is top notch! Both of our weddings got multiple compliments on the food and service of our caterers- the bartenders are so fun and friendly and all the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful! You cannot go wrong with the company, I recommend them to all my friends and family!

There are not enough great things to say about The Catering Company/Michaelis events. They did a fantastic job with our wedding day, April 28th, 2018 at The Pointe. Not only are they extremely organized, detail oriented, and accommodating - the food on our wedding day was absolutely delicious! We have received so many compliments about both our appetizers and our main meal. Our point person for our wedding was Lauren Brown and unfortunately the night of our wedding she was sick and unable to attend, but honestly you would have never known because the staff did not miss a beat. The Catering Company also saved us from a potential disaster. We had a lot of beer drinkers at our reception and about ran out of beer before the reception fully got started. Someone behind the bar noticed this immediately and was able to let my parents know timely so more beer could be bought before we ran out. Not a single guest noticed! Also, we had 2 vegetarians attend the wedding that we specially ordered fish for, not only did the catering company deliver this, they knew exactly what table these guests were at and were able to deliver the fish just as they were getting ready to approach our buffet line - super impressive! With it being my wedding day, it was mostly a blur but my mother and sister had so many great things to say about The Catering Company and its staff, mentioning several times how professional and helpful everyone was throughout the entire night. We cannot thank them and recommend them enough!

Lauren, Crystal and their staff did a wonderful job helping to make my daughter’s wedding and reception a beautiful event! The food was delicious and the decorations were exactly what she wanted. They were both a pleasure to work with as were their staff. It definitely made planning from out of town much easier and the wedding day more relaxing and fun for me!

My wedding was catered by the Louisville Catering Company, and we were extremely pleased with the service. We did a buffet and had over 250 guests. Michelle helped us plan a menu with all of our favorite foods - including a street taco bar, buffalo chicken sliders, mini cheeseburgers, twice baked potatoes, and pasta salad. Michelle is easy to work with, prompt at responding, and mindful when you are operating on a budget. Overall, it was a great experience.

Michaelis went above and beyond for our May 2021 wedding! Our original wedding date had to be rescheduled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and our caterers cancelled. Michaelis was able to take over and deliver an amazing meal and experience for us and our guests! Crystal was a wonderful guide who helped every step of the way and was always available to answer my questions and work with me when I made last minute changes to our plans! I am so glad we stumbled upon them as our wedding caterers; I wouldn't have wanted another event service working with us on our big day!

I used The Catering Company for my daughter's wedding at The Marcus Lindsey this month. The presentation was very beautiful and the staff looked very professional. The food was delicious and many guests went back for second servings. We had several food allergies to consider, but the chef did an amazing job. All of our entrees and 2 of the appetizers were gluten free and no one tasted the difference.

I highly recommend The Catering Company and would gladly use them again.

Lauren and her team at Michaelis Events did a terrific job for our holiday luncheon this year. I was worried 50 people would be too small for them but they took us on and provided a delicious, hearty, holiday feast. It's hard to please a lot of people, but everyone in our newsroom was thrilled and filled with compliments. I would recommend Michaelis Events and plan to use them again in the future.

Michaelis Events did a fabulous job with our wedding this past January. Lauren Brown and her competent staff worked efficiently and creatively. We held our wedding at The Pointe in Butchertown. Since our guest count was fairly high, we used one large room for both the ceremony and reception; the ME staff quickly flipped the room, and not a single thing was out of place. Not to mention, the food was delicious, and our flowers were elegant. We were so pleased! Lauren Brown is a rock star; she truly eased the stress of planning our menu and decor. We highly recommend Michaelis Events.
