I can't say enough good things about this hospital. The staff was outstanding. I did not have one bad experience with any employee I felt like I had made a bunch of new friends. Although I was on a no salt diet, the food was amazing. It looks like all I thought about was food, but when you're in the hospital, it's important.

I would make the 1 hour drive EVERY time to come here we had to bring our baby to the ER and we REFUSED to bring him to baptist hardin anymore after they referred to him as “ that black baby “ … Nortons children ER exceeded our expectations they treat him with care and love and was very efficient!! They were so kind and so sweet and I absolutely recommend taking your kids here ♥

I delivered my last child here, this is my 3rd baby. And I have to say it was probably the best experience. My first child I delivered at U of L, my second at Norton Suburban. At Suburban they did a terrible job administering the epidural, including the head anesthesiologist, so I was very afraid to get it again. But the anesthesiologist did a fantastic job at Norton downtown, she told me how I would feel with each thing she did and she did it perfectly. All of the nurses I had were pleasant, helpful, and made me feel so comfortable. The food here was delicious. The only cons I saw, firstly, was the second room that we stayed in with our baby was quite small, the smallest of all the rooms I stayed in after the deliverance of my children, but it was manageable. Second the noises made on the outside of the room we could definitely hear, and there was a lot of “band alert” multiple times but I guess that falls on the parents who were removing them or something. Despite this I truly felt I got more sleep here than at the other hospitals, there were even times where they came back at a later time to do vitals or whatnot because we were sleeping. And lastly, the showers were very odd. Apparently the bathrooms were newly remodeled, it was set up with no “lip” so all the water would just come out of the shower and go onto the floor. The shower was a decent size, but the water pressure and hot water weren’t the best. I guess that’s standard at a hospital? Other than those, I had great care & a great stay at Norton, but I am glad to be back home

I was admitted to Nortons Hospital downtown on 5S floor and I had two of the most amazing nurses I've ever met. Sending a special shout out to Nurse Ann Rogers and Ligaya Maturan for they're amazing help and going over and above to assist me and my family over and over again. To Ann Rogers don't let anyone ever dim that brighter light you have!!!!

I have been a patient of Nortons for over 30 years. I've had all 3 of my children there and almost all Doctors have been through Norton's. I've had 2 surgeries there so far in my life and I have to say, they have been competent, compassionate and faithful to care for me in a respectful and knowledgeable way. Every place has workers who are overworked or who dont wanna work, areas that we could find unclean at a certain time. However, looking at my overall 30 year, 3 children, 2 surgeries, countless doctor visit, specialists visits, OBGYN care, food, culture, doctors, nurses, staff, surgeons, anesthesia, shots, blood draws, hours of work and care they have put into me; I have to say THEY HAVE DONE SOME AMAZING WORK AND ARE INCREDIBLY SMART AND CAPABLE PEOPLE! I am gonna stick with them.

Sydney was the nicest person I have ever encountered in the ER. Her bedside manner was the sweetest and she went over and beyond for me. The doctor listened to me and moved forward with treatment that works for me. The nurse helped me through getting a shot. This was the best experience I have ever had at Norton ER. They are really knowledgeable and I like how registration called me to get me registered instead of coming to my room.

Had the best experience having surgery today! My pre-op nurse was Hannah and she was very very sweet and comforting. There was another nurse who started my IV and numbed it first so it wouldn’t hurt as bad! I wish I remembered her name but she was so wonderful. Dr. Katrib, Dr. Snyder, Mikey CRNA, Aubrey, Angela, Sara RNs were incredible to me during surgery and answered every question I had and reassured me every step of the way. I would highly recommend Norton Healthcare to anyone - locals and non-locals and I’m not just saying that because I was a previous employee. You seriously can’t get better care

During my first night stay at Norton’s following a spinal fusion, the overnight staff were absolutely amazing!! Danielle and Latoya genuinely cared about my comfort and we had a few laughs which was uplifting under the circumstances. These two individuals were AMAZING!!!

I recently was admitted to the hospital. And I wanted to let you know that it has been a great visit. The nurse over in the Pavilion on 2Giles we're exceptional. I had great care with Desiree and Justice. Everyone was just wonderful. I will always come here for my health care. And make sure that my whole family does the same. Thank you ladies of 2 Giles and Norton for caring for me.

I had to go to the ER for an unexpected work related accident. Their emergency room was packed. Despite this each individual staff member was patient, did not rush you and took an interest in each patient. Even when a mentally disturbed woman came in screaming and saying crazy things they treated her with respect, compassion and patience. My particular situation was unique and the doctor had to do some research, but she still was able to treat me, find answers to help and treat literally 20 other patients simultaneously. While I was waiting to be discharged there were a few patients that coded and yes I had to wait longer, but they let me know why I was waiting and were extremely nice. The ER is a frustrating place many times and the wait can be annoying nh, but these people are doing everything in their power to help everyone. They want everyone of us to walk out as healthy and happy as possible. Ya know many did not eat not did they have time to use the restroom, but they kept plugging away. They never showed their stress, never a crossword. Awesome job guys I cannot thank you enough for your hard work.

Small dark rooms, inadequate nursing care by inadequately experienced nursing staff. No contact with my MD for orders when I was very ill due to anesthesia. Was told I had used all the orders written for me concerning medication and Pharmacy would not deliver more.
Now today I get a collection letter for 2 bills. I paid in Feb. On the day I received them.

I will never darken the doors there again. Nor will I refer others there.

Have had the misfortune of utilizing a hospital several times in the last year. The staff at all the location have been great.
Housekeeping, who keep my room clean. The kitchen that makes some good food. The Nurse and their aids which strive to take care of me. Working with Doctors who communicated in a language that is simple to understand.
I have been seen in the same office for several years now. I’m in and usually gone in a hour. Never have I felt that I was rushed.
I have my health app filled out for emergencies.
In notes it says “Take Me To Nortons Hospital” I know I will be giving the best.

All I can say is wow! My 80 year old Aunt was admitted after we found her on the floor on a Friday evening. She was on 4A and her nurse Marshall and the entire staff of that unit are amazing. They were the best team and on a weekend too. So impressed on the care they provided. I'm not easy to impress, but I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Had a great experience, they truly addressed the few problems I had and absolutely handled me with care, best visit I’ve ever had at a hospital. Not 100% by no means, but see a light at the the end of the tunnel. Thank you for taking care of me! Rooms were clean and food was prompt and not bad! Excellent experience that was scary for me to come into.

My nurse, Ashley and Dr. Spain are absolute saints. They answered all of my concerns while soothing my anxiety! There are angels on earth and they are them.

I cannot tell you how many times I have been to the ER over the past 2 years. I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences. Good and courteous staff all around. Have had no issues at all. This also goes for outpatient testing.
