St Matthews Fire Station 1

Our youngest fell in the bathtub and we were scared to drive all the way to the hospital, so we went right around the corner to SMFD and asked them to check him out. They were all so attentive and immediately started tending to our little guy. They made sure he was okay and there was no immediate emergency then transported us over to Norton Suburban. They were so attentive, sweet, and patient. So, so, so thankful for these guys!

Renner,waters,Nilsson,heaphy. These men are all consummate professionals, I came home from work and found my German husband had fallen trying to get the remote that had fallen next to his chair, I had tried for 1 1/2 hours to get ems on 911 and they were all busy but as time went on I became desperate as his pain increased. I called my daughter and she suggested st Matthews fire station. I called and they were very busy but checked and realized there were a lot of emergency staff out, they came and helped us with compassion and very deftly helped to get in his chair without injuring his right arm which used to pitch the baseball at almost 100 miles per hour in his youth.akl of our community need to know how incredibly lucky we are to have these wonderful guys. Heaphy the volunteer who has stayed since the 1977 the other young man who looked twenty but said he had been doing it for 13 years and another dedicated man in the line of duty for 16 or 17 years and another young so courteous, my husband is in a lot of pain right now but they took excellent care of him and we in this community need to take excellent care if them!

Several months ago they responded for my brother, found him unconscious and non responsive one evening. They responded quickly, professionally and prepared for any situation.
My brother is alive and well but for one reason, St. Mathews Fire/EMT department.
