Pape Richard a DDS

First off this Dentist did a typical extraction of my wisdom teeth. My Waite says that extractions are every day and are easy, if he did mess up it shouldn’t have been on an extraction. They didn’t put any stitches in my mouth and they had to use a scalpel, typically when a scalpel is used stitches have to be placed. (The only reason I know this is because my wife is Chairside). When I was continuously bleeding after 3 days I called Richard Pape’s office and they said “it’s normal,” that I needed to give it time to heal. I called the next day and got an appointment. When I went in Pape told me that I had exposed bone and prescribed me antibiotics for the infection. Days later my jaw is still so swollen I can’t open my mouth but a quarter inch. I went back to him a 3rd time to have him fix his mistake and he said my jaw was just locked that I needed to stretch my muscle so he gave me tongue depressors and told me to stack them between my teeth to pry my mouth open. REDICULOUS!! I finally went to another dentist (I know, I should have in the first place) and got a second opinion. He told me I had a serious space infection and that it needed surgically drained. This has been two weeks of suffering. I haven’t been able to open my mouth to eat. I visited “Dr.”Pape 4 times and was sent home every time. I’ve had fever and diarrhea. Now I’m on my way to the ER to get my infection drained. I highly DO NOT recommend Richard Pape to anyone. He is a botched dentist who wasted 8 years of college.
