Davis Jewelers is without a doubt one of the most iconic family-owned businesses in Louisville.

Like most, when it came to THE proposal (as seen below) was one thing but it's an entirely different beast when it comes to a ring. I had ZERO IDEA on where to start. I lost night after night of sleep trying to find everything from the band, metal, size, shape, etc. there is to think of when searching online.

Who would've thought after 5 minutes of walking into Davis Jewelers and asking their team those very questions that i'd sleep like a baby ever since! Don't waste your time like I did!

Ultimately, after walking into the store that day... that's when Corey Allgeier came into the picture.

Not only did he make the entire experience enjoyable - he helped create my fiancé's dream engagement ring the EXACT ring she's wanted/dreamed of ever since she was a little girl.

From the very first minutes working with Corey A., he drew out his notepad and intentionally wrote down every single little detail - even the ones that seemed completely unnecessary, he assured us that he'd take every note to account. Which he was a man of his word.

If you are looking for that right size, color, metal, design, etc. I am confident there is not a single stone that Davis Jewelers doesn't turn over. The relationships they've made through the decades of experience, passion, and drive is unmatched. They get access to some of the most pristine cut diamonds/metals in the country if not the world.

Corey A. was able to walk through so many options with us - even when our budget was extremely tight. We were able to navigate different cuts, clarity, and even type of diamond we wanted.

Not only did Corey knock it out of the ballpark - the whole team to even the owners embraced our choices and even found the PERFECT stone that ultimately became the one we chose. Trust me, even after we got down to 3 stones - all of them looked like winners.

There was one-kicker. My Fiancé really wanted a three-prong style to hold the diamond (which was a pear/teardrop style). Normally, a 4 prong or more is used but the team took on the challenge and found the safest/secure way to make our dream ring not only one-of-a-kind but tailored to every little detail that we envisioned. It sits perfectly cradled and isn't going anywhere!

I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't for the hard work and dedication that Corey A. and the team over at Davis Jewelers did for us. As you see with the pictures attached, the ring is stunning and we get compliments everywhere we go.

Chris was absolutely wonderful to work with and always kept me in the loop through every step. Neither my fiancé nor I know much about anything regarding jewelry but with the service we received it was never an issue. My brother and I recently stopped in to take a look at watches he was interested in and we were blown away. Although my father and I have taken trips to Davis to peruse watches, I have never experienced such a tremendously helpful and kind fellow watch enthusiast as we did with Skip. When I received jewelry that had been in my family for generations, I had no idea what to do with it all. Davis Jewelers came highly recommended by friends who were repeat customers. Sara was incredibly positive and patient with me as I explained the significance of each item. From the valuable pieces to the ring I grew up believing was a priceless sapphire when it was, in fact and hysterically, plastic, Sara treated every item and story with gentle respect. She quickly understood my style and helped create a way to honor the design, metal and gems of my father’s ring in a new setting that better fit my hand and aesthetic without losing any of the sentimentality. She was receptive to my ideas for other pieces and offered alternatives when needed as she explained pros and cons of options. She was easy to talk with and shared her own stories; the entire process felt like sitting down with a trusted friend to craft old memories into new beginnings. My order was finished earlier than expected and Sara met me in the lobby to admire the final work. She matched my excitement for the results and we had a good laugh about discovering the truth behind the sapphire ring, agreeing that story was just as valuable as the redesigned jewelry I was wearing home. Sara and Davis Jewelers earned my trust and my business.

I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience with Courtney Sparks and the Davis Jeweler team! I came to Davis Jewelers after going through the extreme disappointment of falling in love with a ring at another store only to find the ring was no longer available to be customized because the designer had retired. I then looked at several larger stores in town, had no idea what direction I wanted to go, and all made offers to recreate the ring I loved but with very high sales pressure. In fact one store who advertises all the diamonds in the world, only showed me 2 stones before requiring a non refundable deposit to show me any more. Frankly, I expected Davis to be a similar experience but it was not. From start to finish my experience was a breath of fresh air. Courtney was beyond patient while I said no to dozens of beautiful rings until I found my show stopper by Noam Carver. Hank worked diligently to find the perfect diamond and Ashley took all the stress away, assuring me that my custom made ring would be as perfect as I imagined. Had a great experience working with Davis Jewelers. I was looking for a “proper” watch. Steve was excellent. Very helpful on the phone to justify making the 40min drive. Then in person provided a consultative review of options. I learned quite a bit about the watch industry. Ended up selecting a watch that was slightly different but knew confidently I’d made the right choice. I had a pleasurable and seamless process with the right amount of personal attention. Steve, I do hope to bring you more business in the future!

We had a great experience with Davis Jewelers and highly recommend them! We have a vintage Rolex watch which needed repair. We tried a jeweler in Lexington, much closer to where we live, but they were not helpful or interested in answering our questions.

Davis jewelers went over and beyond to repair my watch. The watch was a gift for my retirement and was not purchased from them however they accepted the task to repair a very damaged watch. Their communication was unbelievable. I was always kept in the loop concerning the repair process. They restored my faith in customer service. Unbelievably kind, friendly and gracious.

I’ve worked with Davis Jewelers for years. Everyone there is helpful and whether or not you’re working directly with them, they each treat you like you are the most important person. Ashley goes above and beyond and has taken care of me as if I’m her biggest client even though I’m am most definitely not even close. Erica has remembered me every time (even though I’m there maybe only once every couple years) and makes me feel like family even though I’ve never worked directly with her in a sale. Their inventory is spectacular and if they don’t have something, they’ll find it or design it for you. They are fair with their prices and you feel as though you got a great deal for a beautiful piece every time. Whether you start there or shop around other places, you should end there bc you’ll know you’re where they treat you like family, give you a great deal and great service, and walk away with something beautiful.

I had the absolute best experience at Davis Jewelers. I took my wedding rings in to see if they could be remade. One of the rings had gotten bent and the prongs snagged everything. Another store charged me for repairing the prongs. I’m not sure they did anything except take my money. I didn’t know what could be done with them. Molly Schweizer was amazing! She was so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She worked with the on site jeweler and came up with a plan. I could not be more thrilled with my new rings. Thank you Molly and Davis Jewelers!
