Horseshoe Island

Love this place. I want to clarify something another reviewer said. They mentioned sand fleas, and I believe they are mistaken. We thought there were, too, because something kept lightly jumping on us when we sat on the sand. Yet we had no bites at all. Upon closer inspection, we realized they were very tiny crustaceans, like little bitty crabs. Harmless, just a little unexpected.

Awesome island ...love it...no time limit

Horseshoe "H" island is one of the best camping spots from Dunedin to Tarpon. It has several made fire pits and a few good spots to anchor on the north and east side. There are a few built benches/platforms and a newly added lookout point. Please don't cut down any live trees and respect others by cleaning up after yourself!

Good natural place to kayak from Honeymoon Island. There's nothing but a bench. So make sure you take your trash back with you.

Great island to have parties, alot of space for tents and a great view!

Ya have to have a boat, kayak or canoe. Primitive camping, sort of. Generators running from some folks. Wimps. Lol
