Emory Long-Term Acute Care

The patient care and people responsible for patients are excellent. They care. My treatment goals were met. The facility is kept spotless. The food was good and they offered me options. This place feels like a spa!

I wanted to stop by and say thank you to the staff on the 4th and 5th floor. I met so many different doctors, nurses, techs, wound care, respiratory therapist and physical therapist during my mother's stay, so excuse me if I dont have names. This was one of the hardest things I've endured in my life. The staff was so respectful and professional everyday. I asked a million questions and they answered a million questions with no problem. They made sure I understood everything that was happening during my mother's stay there. Everyday I left there with the assurance that she was in good hands. They made a stressful situation easier. You can see the care and compassion in everything they do. Thank y'all so much.

The best place that I've been to. They do great work. Their ability to care for me with everything that was going on was great. I enjoyed my stay here.

I entered the doors of this facility on October 6th with my mom. It was a new and unfamiliar place, but the staff helped to make our stay a pleasant one. Our nurses were pleasant and professional (Ancy, Tiffany, Tonneka, Myrtha, and Kimmee were very awesome), the patient care assistants (Tiffany, Chris, Nicola, and Santino awesome), Ms. Natasha from Food Service embodies Service with a smile, our room was cleaned especially when Ms. Rebecca was on duty. The Respiratory Team was vital in helping to get mom to the point of decannulation (Alonzo was very good), Those who came in for OT, PT, and speech Therapy (Maggie, both Christie's, Inga and Kiera)
were all good. Even the charge nurses came in and made rounds with pleasant attitudes. Upon our departure Ms. Sharon made sure things went smoothly and helped to get everything we needed in place. When you have to deal with overwhelming situations and the unknown it is important to have a pleasant attitude and to be met with that same energy and the staff at the Emory LTAC did not disappoint. Thank you for taking care of mom and allowing me to have input in her care. ❤

Great hospital took care of my mother and nursed her back to excellent health in less than a month! Nurses were pleasant and nurturing.

I have been a resident here for a month, and I am being discharged to the acute rehab. I have enjoyed my stay here. The nurses and techs are extremely kind, even when they are busy. They also allowed me to use their conference room and threw me a college graduation party when my college decided to give me my own graduation via Zoom since I couldn't attend my own. Even though I am glad I am leaving because I am improving in my health, I hate to leave! I would recommend this LTAC to anyone!

My husband had a 30+ days stay at the Emory LTAC as a result of a serious, traumatic surgery. After being in ICU at Emory University Hospital, he was transferred here. All of the goals for his recovery at this stage were met. The medical team were exceptionally good at providing the special care that was needed with his serious condition. The nurses and patient care staff, therapists, and social workers were timely in responding to his needs, courteous, and focused on helping him. As a result of their expertise and care, he has successfully weaned off a traeche and feeding tube and is ready for the next step of rehabilitation. Everyone from the front desk staff, security and 4th floor medical team, made our family feel comfortable. This helped make a otherwise stressful time more manageable. I would highly recommend this facility and staff in addressing critical health situations.

This Emery facility took care of me for one week after a bout with pneumonia and their entire staff were so professional and provided me with top level care that I was actually able to leave and go home after one week. They took excellent care of me day and night all the way from the doctors, to the nursing staff, the physical therapist, the respiratory therapist to the food service. It was actually as pleasant of a stay as I could possibly have asked for so I would highly recommend this Emery facility to anyone.

Awesome staff everyone works as a team there. Rehab was great worked you hard and safely. Doctors actually listened to you and worked with you to get you home as soon as possible. Food was great and real no prepackaged junk. Chaplain was attentive and helpful. Security was great. Just a great experience and thanks to all there I'm oxygen free and moving well with no limitations.

I am so Thankful for this facility!!!! From the front door to private room, everyone has been extremely supportive, kind, and helpful. From day one they worked with her to get her condition in a much better place. My family can not say Thank You enough. If you are a family member is in need of an Acute facility this is the one!!!Thanks again

Emory Long Term Acute Care provided excellent care to my mother. The nurses were attentive and responsive. The therapy team were concerned about her progress and called me to keep me updated, and the doctors actually called me and we're willing to answer any and all questions regarding my mother's health. I called a doctor and he picked up the phone and patiently answered my questions.

Everyone from top to bottom was great- best staff ever! They were very calm, patient, and understanding with my mother-in-law. One of the best hospital staffs that I have seen. We are very happy with the care my mother-in-law received. Everything from the building to the cafeteria food was great. Respiratory and rehab care was excellent- they knew their job very well. She was even in the special care unit for a week and had great care.

My husband was here for two months and we really have a good experience. The stuff was really carrying and attentive. They were listening to me and were always having my husband best interest in mind.

My family member was in this rehab facility, and his overall stay was very good!! The staff are so professional and they have bedside manners and I would recommend this facility to anyone that has a loved one that may need care

Thank you to all staff who works in this facility; I have seen people who became part of my family and celebrated every progress for your loved one. God bless everyone for all the support during my Family's Hard time. Together my love one had a second change for His fast recovery.

Emory Acute long term care helped me get well from Pneumonia and now on my way to Rehab.

I was exceptionally pleased with the rehabilitation staff. The staff was very professional- from the EVS workers all the way to the nurses- deserve props. They met my goal to get the tracheostomy out for my wife. I was very happy with the experience overall.

I worked at Emory Ltac for right under 3 years. I’ve never met nurses that worked so hard and truly cared about their patients. Julia, Glenn, Rosa, Paige, just to name a few. Dr. Mikel is one of a kind. The rehab department and speech therapist are excellent. You will see amazing results! I encourage anyone to give this hospital a try. You won’t regret it!

Where can I start! This has been a long journey of recovery for my daughter. I am VERY GRATEFUL and appreciative of all the services that were provided to my daughter and me. Starting with the doctors, nurses, the nurse techs, respiratory therapists, occupational, physical, and speech therapists, to the dietary staff and custodians, even the cafeteria staff, I just want to say, this facility provided excellent service throughout our whole stay at Emory LTAC. Even the security staff made sure I got to my car safely at night. Most of all, who stood out the most, is Dr. Mikell and the physical therapist Kelsey, who exceeded above and beyond the call of duty. I would score them above a 10 if I could! I would recommend this facility to anyone.

I really enjoyed my stay at Emory LTAC after my initial hospitalization. The staff was excellent and I was able to reach my goals prior to leaving. I would definitely recommend for anyone who needs additional care after being hospitalized.
