Ponderosa

Ponderosa brings back many fond memories of growing up. Was my favorite as a child and still is as a adult. Their steaks are very tasty and tender. If you've never tried their own steak sauce then give it a try it's very good. The buffet has many options anywhere from meats to salad to soup to dessert. Staff is always friendly and down to earth. Overall a great place to eat.

Good place to eat. Friendly service. Good food. Always fresh and hot at this location. Usually gets busy by noon for lunch crowd. Lunch buffet is only $8.79. Even the local police eat here, Which says the food must be good. Never had an issue here.

Loved this place! So sad to hear that the Preston Highway location will be closing its doors for good Sunday August 16, 2020.

The team was lovely and the food was fresh mr jason the manager was a great big help when my mom got sick he helped us out and got a cold rag and chair

Open this place back up!!! I've been here twice on trips through the area and it's a great Ponderosa.
I'm so sick of corporate forcing franchises to shut down etc.
People love Ponderosa and they get lots of business.
If she some on charge can't get with the program we need to reopen or open across the street and we exactly the same just a different name or play on the name!
I'm sick of them trying to take my Ponderosa away!

Food warm and delicious and our server was fantastic. Definitely recommend the all you can eat crab legs!

Our steaks were cooked perfectly🙏🙏 But i tried the buffalo pasta on the salad bar & didn't like it. But their mac & cheese was great 👍 My waitress was a 5 star girl!! The ice cream machine was broke😢 but the carrot cake made up for it😋 I was really happy with the salad bar....it was fresh & clean ✌

We had a wonderful dinner. The only problem was we ate too much. There was a great variety of different foods to choose from. They have the best ice cream machine. It reminds me of my childhood, getting custard in the country where my dad grew up, in Whitesburg, Ky. I've never found any place else that has it in Louisville. The people are always friendly and offer helpful service. Keep it up Ponderosa. We will always come back.

This food is so good that my family and I literally drove 40 mins to get it! The price makes the food taste even better. It was about 9 dollars per person (not including drink). It's all you can eat style is perfect for my family's different preferences and tastes. There are also many dessert options. Highly recommend, esp if there's many of you in a group!

Excellent Staff - Great Food! We went for my daughter's birthday but found they did not have her favorite serloin steak on the bar. Michael (the manager) had some prepared especially for her. Everyone paid special attention to her (not just singing and dessert but truly talking with her), taking an interest and just being personable. The food was hot and tasty and Chelsey was an excellent waitress as well. Good job!

Really good food! Always fresh and our waitress was super attentive. Their breakfast buffet has so much to offer! I was not a fan of the waffles but everything else was great!

Great Price and many numerous delicious options to choose from on their Buffet. Great salad bar, sides, and many different meat options, and the best vanilla soft serve ice cream I've had in a long time and also a bunch of other desserts to choose from. All around a great experience from the friendly staff, delicious food and desserts, and all for a very reasonable cheap price!!!

Always amazing. Food never disappoints. EXCEPTION: My family and went here last week around 8:05 p.m. And the waitress acted as if we were an inconvenience to her. Had to ask several times for a refill on drinks. Then she was complaining to a co-worker that she had made no tips that evening and it was BullS***. Not professional as we had our 8 year old daughter with us and she was using profanity on the floor. I usually tip at least $20.00 every time I go there because the service is great, but this waitress got nothing from me. I think management should have more of a presence in the dining room no matter what time it is and make themselves available as I would have complained about our waitress. Going there to eat this evening also.

Clean restaurant and courteous employees. The food on the buffet was hot and very good. The salad bar was even better. I was enjoying my food so much that I forgot to take photos. I will definitely go back to eat and take photos.

My wife and I eat here at least once a month. The staff are great, the food is tasty and hot, and the prices are reasonable. I love bringing family from it out of town, since so many Ponderosa restaurants are gone now. Great place to eat.

Love the all you can eat crab legs every Friday night until April 22, 2019. The fried scallops on the buffet were very good also. Our server Sunni was very friendly.

Food was good. One of the servers carried some plates and as went by my mom , held them over my moms head, I didnt think that was too smart! Also, one plate slipped and fell, landed beside my mom, thank goodness not on her head! So could use some more common sense and training in some areas of their jobs.

One of the few restaurants left that still tastes like it did when i was a kid. Not the best food, but i feel like a lot of people set their expectations too high. You don't go to ponderosa for great food, you go for all-you-can-eat good food.

I enjoyed the food. It was my first time having Ponderosa. My favorite thing on the buffet was the cranberry broccoli salad. Was scared to try it because it sounds awful but it was great! Wanna try to make it myself.

Friendly staff good food and good on the pocketbook
