Large wood chip filled dog park with a walking trail. There is a lot of room here for pups to run and also a wooded trail. There's a hose and water bowls. Owners are not too uptight and will let dogs be dogs here. Parking is across the street in the church parking lot or next door at the community building.

I drive almost 25 minutes to get to Oakhurst Dog Park and it's well worth it. My dog loves it there! Parking is right across the street. In the summer months, it's nice and shady due to all the trees. The vast majority of dog parents cleans up after their doggy has done its business. Plenty of water bowls, buckets and even a kiddy pool are provided. So far, this is our favorite dog park in Atlanta and we try to visit at least 3 times a week.

Great dog park. Plenty of space for small, medium, and large dogs to run freely. My dogs love this park. There will be dogs who want to play or play rough and sometimes it goes south. So please be careful with your fur baby if things ever go south. But overall great experience the second largest dog park in metro Atl.

This is the best dog park I've ever been to. I'm sure there are better ones out there somewhere but this one is lovely so I'm going to keep coming back.

Half the park is an open area to play fetch/run around, and the other half is wooded with nature trails. There are tables and benches available all throughout the park, perfect for a nice afternoon. The people and dogs are all friendy and the owners tend to be responsible when issues arise between dogs.

A few days ago I was there and watched a mama bird feed her chicks. 5 stars.

Pros:
This dog park is very large- bigger than Piedmont! So big that's it's never really crowded.
I love how there are short trails for you and your pup to explore. A water fountain is available for use.
There are extra toys and tennis balls available for use- just make sure to leave them for the next person to use. Park is usually pretty well kept for a dog park. If there is poop on the ground, there are small flags you can put there to tell people to watch out.

Cons:
Parking is a little confusing. There is free parking available next door where the rest of the park is. There is a small kids school in between the dog park and the regular park- which may throw you off. Go to the four way stop and the park will be on the left/right or straight ahead.
There isn't a big dog area and a small dog area like other parks- just one big space to share.

I have been coming here for the past year and I highly recommend it to anyone. Overall great park.

Best dog park in Atlanta! Big open field for the dogs to run wild. Also, there is an area on top of the hill with excellent tree coverage and mini doggy trails to boot. Also, the big field is a flood plain so your dog's can and will get muddy if it is raining or you take them there shortly after a down-pour.

Note: this park is very much a community (not city run), so please mind your dog's messes and lend a helping hand if you see people doing some light landscaping to keep this place special.

My favorite dog park in ATL with a large open area and a cute little network of paths in a small wooded area that is great for getting out of the sun. Lots of benches and areas to sit down and relax while your dog socializes.

I love taking my dog here! It's a zen garden park up top of the hill and it's wide open below!

Nice park, lots of space for the dogs to run around. A few nooks and crannies, few "off the beaten path" spaces for the dogs to hang out in the shade. I'll definitely be coming back to this park on a regular basis. Perfect place for the pup to burn off some energy and make some new friends

This park provides plenty of space for dogs to roam. One area is open which is great for fetch and another, more wooded area, if your pup wants to explore. People are generally quite friendly here.

Great park, lots of space to run around and play, and not very muddy even after it rains.

I love this dog park. It has trails through the wooda, and a big open area in the middle that is shaded in the afternoon by the trees on either side. So your pups can run and play but not have the sun beating down on them

Such a great resource for dog owners. Large, grassy space, with a wooded upper level; lots of fresh water bowls at the entrance. Dogs and owners are friendly; no aggressive or violent dogs allowed

This is a much better dog park than the last one we went too! Not super crowded, no giant mud holes, and a ton of shade, so the heat wasn't an issue.

My dogs loved it. The other dogs were friendly, the place was a nice size for them to run and play. We will be returning.

Massive space with open area but also a wooden area. Definitely fun for myself but my dog too. Not super muddy or crowded.
