My house is located in Pell City, Alabama; and has a concrete tile roof. North central Alabama is not an area where concrete tiles exist. Hence, there are no roofers that know anything about them. Through the years the roof has had numerous leaks, and I have hired jackleg roofers in Birmingham, Montgomery, Destin, and Atlanta to repair the numerous leaks. None of these guys had a clue, although claiming they could do the job. Most of them made the problems even worse.

This is where Brendan Leach and Douglas Roofing and Construction come into play. I somehow found them on the internet, contacted Brendan and had no expectations, due to past experiences. Man was I wrong. Brendan and this company are true pros. First of all, traveling from the Atlanta area to Pell City was not an issue with this company. They gave me many options from repairing the roof to replacing it with different tile products. We decided to replace the roof, and Brendan guided me through all of the new tile options and was patient with us in the decision-making process, and we eventually decided on replacing the roof with another concrete tile roof. He explained the process from start to finish.

A concrete tile roof is a very expensive roof, and these guys treated the job as professionally as any company I have ever dealt with. Brendan understood my frustration with all of the past roofing experiences and gained my trust through his care and treatment of me and my home. He remained on the job til it was finished and treated my home as if it were his own. Most companies just throw the roofers out there with no supervision, so this was very impressive. The crew knew what they were doing, were very friendly, highly skilled and did a fantastic job. They ran across additional issues with a lot of rotten wood decking and rotten trusses, but took care of those problems as well. The guys took their time but completed the job in a timely manner. I now have a great-looking roof with no leaks. I am so grateful to these guys. My roof situation had become very stressful and a real pain.

Most contractors or people in a service industry today are terrible communicators, are not reliable and do terrible work. However, these guys do flawless work and are very reliable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof; and if you need a high-end roof, hire these guys. Last but not least, Brendan Leach is a great guy who I now consider a friend. That doesn’t happen often these days. That in and of itself sums up the experience.

If I could give Rome and his crew more than 5 stars I would! From start to finish, Rome was professional and prompt with every bit of communication to make the process of getting a new roof absolutely seamless and stress free. We had damage to our roof after a storm and he took his time explaining the process, helping us understand how our insurance works and answered all our questions. On the day of install, the crew showed up early, did a fabulous job and took the time to clean up very thoroughly. Rome communicated every piece of the project and was quick to reply to emails or texts as needed. He helped tremendously to take the stress off of us and make sure everything was done correctly. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to use Douglas Construction and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing their services!

We are So Pleased and Very Satisfied with the job that Douglas Construction provided for us. Rome was Extremely Professional and Wonderfully Friendly. We would never have known the extent of the hail damage on our roof if Rome hadn’t noticed and knocked on our door to tell us. Rome did all ( most) of the interaction with our insurance company & Everything was explained Before the work was done. Pictures were taken and shown to us to help us understand the issues. Rome had a sample piece of Every material that was being used and we were shown the whole process , step by step. Rome even came back the following day to go over our property with a magnet roller to pick up any stray nails that might have been missed the first time!!
They provided a most positive experience and we are truly grateful to have had Douglas Construction Replace & Repair our roof.

Very good salesmen with no high pressure. They personally went on the roof for inspection before
they gave the proposal and also inspected with a drone. Good communication with scheduling. Work crew showed up on time and completed the job in one day. The crew was very professional with great workers with no arguments or any issues. They cleaned up well with no hassles. I would highly recommend.

My project manager, Rome was AMAZING not only he helped me to file the claim but mostly he came by when the insurance sent their diagnose ppl, he went through everything with them to make sure they don't miss anything, he was actually working directly with my insurance agent, I didn't really have to deal with them, Rome GOT ME SO MUCH MORE than just the new roof, the insurance approved only portion of the gutters, only 1 garage door , didn't approve the METAL roofing I have above the porch and above the top sides of the garage , even new fireplace top metal and such... HE made the insurance to change some of the pricing to cover better the material and the job done by the gutters and metal roof installers, got them to approved , ALL GUTTERS, 2 GARAGE DOORS, the Metal roof and more so I totally believe if not for this amazing company and Rome's dedication to this project, I would have ended up with just a new roof but I got so much more
Also always available on the phone for anything, if I had concerns about somethings besides just the roof , he came by to fix it, always on time to the dot !!! I am telling you, I could NOT be happier

In March, we experienced significant hail damage to our roof, and finding a reliable roofing company was paramount. Douglas Construction was referred to us by my brother-in-law, who is well-versed in the roofing industry, and I must say, the referral was spot on.

We had a GAF solar shingle roof installed by Douglas, and the experience was great! There were some delays during the process but Dustin was completely transparent and kept us in the loop the whole time. Overall, it was a pleasure to do business with Douglas Construction.

Highly Recommend! They knocked out a repair to fix a leak in my garage in just a few hours at a reasonable price.

Overall, Douglas Construction helped me get my roof fixed when my insurance was trying to not pay out. Sarah Burnap consistently helped me followed up with QBE as they dropped the ball over and over. She was patient as QBE lost my files, neglected to attach them to my case, fired their own personnel handling my case, and generally tried to get rid of me. Once we finally received the approval we were owed, Rome Bailey took good care getting my roof replaced quickly and professionally. I appreciate the hard work the whole team put into taking great care of me.

We moved to the area a year ago and a hail storm hit our newly purchased home right away. Douglas Construction were kind, professional, and helped explain our insurance policy in an understanding way.

Since moving to GA, I've dealt with a lot of contractors & carpenters. In most cases, I've been disappointed with the results. However, working with Douglas Construction has been my best experience thus far. I was impressed with their professional & authentic marketing, their prompt & knowledgeable sales approach, and the overall quality of the installation. After there were multiple instances of hail storms in our area, a rep from Douglas Construction (Gustavo) came to our door and asked if we'd like a roof inspection. We agreed and it turns out we did have damage. Gustavo made the whole process of working with our insurance company and getting a new roof installed very easy. We enjoyed his professionalism and responsiveness. When it came time for installation, there was a little hiccup in the team being delayed due to car trouble, but the owner Dustin and supervisor Rick came to our house and instantly took charge of the situation. Rick tracked the progress and thoroughly inspected the final installation himself, also going around the house to make sure all nails were retrieved.

We appreciate this company's dedication to excellence, and the care and attention they gave us. I would highly recommend working with Douglas Construction if you need roof repairs or replacement. We love our new roof.

After Hurricane Ida, we were desperate to have a new roof installed back on our home. We talked to several contractors before deciding on Douglas Construction. Not only did they offer a more-than-fair price, they informed us of the quality of work they would provide. More importantly, they delivered that quality! We could not be happier with the helpful communication, quality of work and cleanup, and follow-up after the job was completed. If you've had hail and wind damage this is the best company to use. They are professional, responsible and kind .Dustin and his team(Craig, Casey and Sarah)were on top of every aspect of the job. They handled all the insurance work for me. They delivered a great product at a great price and in a timely matter. Their work is perfection. I love my new roof! The roof was installed in a day. Excellent service from Douglas Construction!! We had hail damage, new roof required, insurance covered. It was really easy working with Rome, from start to finish. Communication was simple and fast with Rome. He is very professional and courteous! During roof install day, Jonathan and his crew were great! Jonathan was also great to work with; professional and courteous! They came with a big crew early in the morning and got the roof installed in 1 day! Great photos on the portal to keep us posted on the progress. You don't really even need to be home as the photos were updated frequently. Cleanup was great. Gutter install also went fast and seamless. Thanks for a great experience! The roof looks wonderful!
