Olive + Oak

First time here and not disappointed! Excellent service. Lovely atmosphere. Very well staffed. Had the mushroom crepe, Berkshire pork loin, and the cloud cake. I can personally recommend all of those items. Extensive wine menu. Parking is somewhat limited but that’s expected based on its location. I’ll be back!

We randomly stumbled in here out of sheer hunger and curiosity one day. That was over a year ago and we’ve been back many times since.

One of our all time favorite spots and our go-to whenever we’re feeling something a little on the fancier side. Olive & Oak, in my opinion, meshes the worlds of casual and fine dining perfectly. The food is without a doubt the best of the best but the atmosphere isn’t uptight and pretentious.

The staff is knowledgeable, down to earth, and friendly but they’ll still refill your wine glass of sparkling water for you without asking. Balanced as everything should be. Their menu is constantly changing, giving way to variety and exploration.

The cloud cake dessert is absolutely insane - a must try. Just get it. My personal favorite thing on the menu, however, is the wings. Red coconut curry, maple, and ginger. Glazed bliss. The chicken itself is cooked perfectly and the meat is first-rate. 9.2/10 clucks.

Excellent food! Excellent atmosphere! The menu variety if great, and everyone can find something delicious on the menu.

Listen, every staff member from the manager to the waiter to the person who takes away our finished dishes; everyone of them desire to treat you wonderfully and they excel at that. Don’t let anyone say or twist otherwise. We came last night for my birthday and had an amazing time. I wish we took more photos of the food. Forget everything you know of cheese curds because these were the most fluffy and melting ones I’ve had. Phenomenal. But seriously, I had to tell the manager, they had the best braised collard greens I’ve had in my life. Southern and delightfully flavorful to a T. The price points are worth it because the food is certainly worth it and the staff worth 10x more. They care about their business and the people that chose to dine there instead of elsewhere. I just can’t recommend it enough. They are the date night spot to pick for STL. Oh, and there’s a reason their butterscotch pot de creme is always on their dessert menu. Grab one of those and enjoy

Really enjoyed our meal at Olive + Oak. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our Pepperoni Pizza and a Roasted Brussel Sprouts. We had a seat in the far back and like the vide as it seemed a little quieter than the front of the restaurant where the bar is located.

Simply amazing! 5 stars is not nearly enough. Everything we ordered, and we ordered a lot, was a culinary masterpiece. I’ve included many pictures of the food drinks and menu. The menu changes regularly but there are some staples. From the Gazpacho Sipper, a tart green tomato pineapple delight to the melt in your mouth cowboy ribeye for two to the blistered tomato with lemon curd goat cheese that could almost be a dessert to the actual dessert cloud cake. We loved everything. Brittany was our server and she was a fun part of our party. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves on their presentation. Olive and Oak is one of the best restaurants in St. Louis!

We had a great time at Olive + Oak ably served by Jordan ! Initially hesitant i was pleasantly surprised by the great Vegetarian fare dished out! The starters were amazing loved the Cheese curd and the Honey BBQ Hummus and the Roasted Cauliflower and recommend all three! Dinner saw us ordering the Dip and the Pita in sandwiches ! They served fries rice with quinoa patties! The Calabacitas is worth a try! The salads were great too! Ambience is good and service very pleasant!

Absolutely amazing dining experience. The cocktails are fantastic. The food is incomparable! Try the wings, seriously elevated chicken wings. Steak was perfectly cooked and we cleaned our plates. Request Taylor for service! She provided a flawless dining experience with brevity and heart and amazing recommendations. Will definitely come back again :)

We had a great meal here. Fresh sourdough bread and compound butter were excellent, bread from Union Loafers. Started with the oysters, little smaller than others have had but good flavors. Watermelon salad with tahini dressing was fantastic, lots of juicy watermelon. Entree was the flank steak with red pepper purée, steak was tender but wished it was seasoned better. Coconut pie dessert was amazing. Verdict is we would go back again.

Privately owned local fine dining with dramatic organic comfort fusion(?) menu. Healthy organic ingredients used to make some unique, some comfort options. Superb! Bar keeps the drink recipes just and fresh and unique while maintaining high standards for the mainstream options. Leave room for dessert, amazing options built to share.

Service at both bar, patio and inside are top notch with an unusually experienced staff given post-covid norm. Place gets busy most nights around 6pm and doesn't seem to let up until 10pm or so. Plan accordingly, reservations recommended.

Went here for dinner with a group of 4. Our waiter was very attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. Our group share crab dip and hush puppies. I really enjoyed the crab dip with the nice kick of spice it had in it.

For my entree, i had the rack of lamb. The lamb, potatoes, and greens were all delicious. I'd recommend it. Pair wells with a nice tall glass of wine.

If youre in the area and want a delicious meal with great service, I'd recommend this place.

This is my wife’s and my go-to spot for date night. The octopus appetizer is phenomenal. Last month they had a duck stew that is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Great wine and drink list. People are extremely friendly. We’ve never had a bad meal here.

We wanted to go out for a nice dinner, and Olive and Oak did not disappoint. The ambiance is magical with the lighting and all the windows.
The music was GREAT!
The service was outstanding, and when my oldest didn't like what she ordered, he rectified it immediately without her having to ask. He saw her not enjoying her food and was proactive in getting her something she liked.
The food was also very delicious. Fresh oysters, perfectly fried and delicious wings, a really good kids pasta, a yummy burger, and more.
Definitely a date night spot.

Once a year I make a visit to my best friend who lives in St. Louis. We spent a decade together in NYC and this is our go-to restaurant to feel like we are transported back to our trendy Manhattan days. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service is all SO good on a consistent basis.

So many great things to say! We had a group of 6 visit for dinner this evening and were very well taken care of throughout the entire night! We were never rushed to order drinks, starters or our food. The cozy atmosphere was perfect and the food was outstanding.

Great service and beautiful atmosphere.
Appetizers: we ordered oysters which I definitely recommend.
Main course: we ordered Wagyu and flank steak. Both great and tender.
Dessert: we ordered cloud cackle which is ok and Butterscotch Pot de cream which was too salty and we had to return it.
Drinks: we order bunch and all were great.

Incredible atmosphere and even better service. Compliments to Tammy for outstanding service. Food and drinks were excellent. Very upscale and fancy yet has a chill vibe. Perfect girls night out or date night spot!

Fantastic entrées and appetizers. Large beer and wine menu. Able to customize items and lots of vegetarian items. Great service by Eric. We'll definitely be back!
