La Calle Mexican Restaurant

The restaurant was a little quiet but perhaps that’s expected for a Thursday night. The service was great and food was delicious. My husband and I split a pitcher of margaritas and those were great. We tried the carne asada and a selection of tacos. All meals come with complimentary chips and salsa. We’ll definitely return!

Food is good but could be better. It just lacked more flavor . The restaurant itself is a huge space with beautiful interior. Lots of cool paintings and stuffs. Tbh it’s perfect for everything like date night, get together, birthday party and all. I went there at daytime to try Mexican food so it was little slow. I hope their business really grows well since it’s recently opened . Nothing but best wishes to the teams and I will def be back 🙏🏼

The food was excellent. Some of the best tacos money can buy. It was delicious and a good price for a bar atmosphere.

La Calle is my new favorite spot for Mexican food! I got the Hemp Avenue tocos which are a great vegetarian option and the salsa is so flavorful. I also enjoyed my chips and guacamole. Everything was fresh and relatively quick coming out. Not only is the food awesome, but every employee I spoke to was super friendly. I love the art and plants around the restaurant and the patio is a great spot to hang out and enjoy a drink. I will definitely be back!

The place was great, the staff is very friendly, the service was awesome, the mexican beers selection is so good and also the steak nachos, we will be back soon, thank you for bringing us a little piece of home 🥰

Wow! Best quesadilla I’ve ever had! The tortilla was fresh and the fillings were overflowing. Closer to a burrito without rice than what i typically think of a quesadilla, I was pleasantly surprised by how much meat, Guac and pico they stuffed in it! 10/10. Im excited to try the rest of the menu.

Also, ordered late at night on ToastTab and order was ready in like 10 minutes. Definitely the best food available this late.

This place is always happening! Loud music but they still hear me just fine! In the gay district so lively fun group of customers! My daughter eats here every single week and I just started trying their food. She loves the Arroz Con Pollo and I found the Chicken Quesadilla that was delicious! We will be back! We always eat there late night. One of the few places serving savory food late night!

I went to La Calle with a group of friends and it is such a great new spot! The walls are covered with murals from local artists which adds to the uniqueness of the restaurant. Our server, and the owner, Sebastian, was very attentive to us, and was on top of taking care of us, while also making fun conversation. I ordered the steak, chicken, and shrimp nachos, which were yummy. The queso is to die for. All in all, go check out La Calle in the grove :) you won't be disappointed!

Their biggest advantage is that the kitchen is open late. Otherwise, food is decent and came out quickly. The restaurant itself is huge inside.

The food def left a lot to be desired. We had steak fajitas, and although i will totally come here again to dance, i will not dine here again. The margaritas were great though!

This is my new spot for late night eating and a drink!!! Best Mexican restaurant I've been to in St Louis. Great food, drinks, and the bartender is the sweetest! Did I mention the food was good? Most def recommend.

This was a good spot Even though we didn't stay long. The DJ was playing great song's and me and my crew will be back to try the food 🤞🏾🤍

The bartender Jada was amazing! Very helpful with menu suggestions. I ended up trying the two steak tacos and they were so good. I recommend for sure :-)

We were so pleased with our experience here! My girlfriends and I came in and sat at the bar. We had delicious margaritas: mango, lime, and strawberry, made by the lovely, Bri. She provided delightful, quick, and kind service! Our food came out quickly and was delicious!

The owner, he was cute, came in and helped behind the bar and struck up conversation with us and discussed future plans for Fridays and Sundays. I love seeing an involved and helpful owner!

We will be back! Hopefully for a brunch and a Sunday drag show!

The quesadillas are really cool and tasty. The Salsa is unique and fire as well. I would recommend that they put the clear salsa salsa cups inside of a Styrofoam container for to go orders so they don't get spilled.

I just tried this place last night and was very happy with my experience, so I wanted to get the word out since it’s a newer place! The food was delicious. I always get quesadillas at Mexican restaurants, and the Swan Ave quesadilla was one of my favorites I have ever had. The waitress was super kind as well. You all should try it out!

Great place to visit. Went on a Sunday with my toddler and wife. They were great with interacting with me kid and the steak was amazing! We will be going back.

Ordered through Postmates for pickup, service was quick and with a smile, price was reasonable and atmosphere was neat. The shrimp in the quesadilla was sparse and the queso was watery. Overall good experience and excited to dine in next time! Welcome to the neighborhood!

La Calle (Spanish for street) was an amazing experience for my wife, kids and me! We were lucky enough to be there the first day being open!

From the menu that has local street names for their items to the AMAZING atmosphere (with an incredible patio!) we were already excited for our family night out. Once our food arrived our expectations were far exceeded. Even our picky eater had fun playing with flavors and trying new items.

For the Lou/Grove locals this was the old Novack’s!

The meat was incredible!! Juicy, flavorful and NOT overly cooked or rubbery!!

Salsa and guac was on point as you would want, but the chips were something a bit different. Lite, crispy, and additional salt was NOT needed.

Whether you’re going out as a couple, a family or a late night in the Grove, La Calle has you covered!! My wife and I (and even the kids…) will definitely be back!

Hands down the BEST Mexican food I’ve had in the Lou.
