Verbena Events

Verbena was amazing to work with! We had A LOT of dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, banana-free, avocado-free... etc You get the picture 😅) and yet we were able to accommodate everyone. They were super nice and offered suggestions to us which was amazing! Somehow on our wedding day our dessert stands went missing (as things tend to do on wedding days lol) and yet they were able to make a beautiful table of desserts for us. They were in constant communication with us and everything was just very easy and smooth with them. Highly recommend ☺.

My husband and I got married in June and used Verbena for both the catering and the cake. Everything was absolutely incredible! We needed to accommodate quite a few vegan and gluten free diets and most everyone left our wedding saying that it was the best wedding meal that they've ever had! Our cake was also absolutely stunning and was exactly what we had hoped for.

Working with Verbena was super easy and I truly can't recommend them enough. Everyone involved was incredibly nice, prompt with communication, and happy to walk us through every option as we figured out how to feed so many different diets.

Verbena did an amazing job catering for us. My husband Jeff and I are both vegan (and work in the animal protection space), and it was important to us to have a fully vegan menu at our wedding. They never made us feel guilty about it (which was ... not the case with everyone we talked to!), and focused instead on making delicious food that the non-vegans in our family thoroughly enjoyed!

For canapés, we had grilled peach bruschetta on focaccia crostini, Impossible sliders, and spinach artichoke tartlets. For our dinner buffet, we did vegetable lasagna and shepard's pie for the mains, plus cilantro and lime roasted corn, roasted balsamic green beans, and za'atar roasted potatoes for sides. And then ... 100 amazing mini pies (peach, key lime, apple and pecan)!

Everything tasted absolutely amazing (people raved, and it opened some eyes to the fact that "vegan" food doesn't need to be boring or scary or whatever ... who doesn't love pasta and pie?!) and it was such a pleasure to work with E and Emma. They were so kind and welcoming during our tasting, and communication was smooth throughout.

We also rented vintage plates, cloth napkins, water goblets, and silverware from them, and thought the dining room looked absolutely beautiful.

Emma and E are hands down incredible. We used Verbena for both our food and desserts for a wedding and there was hardly anything leftover- it was SO GOOD. From the moment we reached out to them up until the very day, their communication was incredible. They answered every question and catered to every need/ request. The food on the day of the wedding was even better than the tasting we had (which I literally didn’t think was possible). The desserts were delicious and the spread for beautiful. Literally could not recommend them more for any and every occasion. You can tell they love what they do and connecting with their clients! They are incredible humans and incredible at what they do!

Wow! Our wedding cake was truly amazing, and our guests would not stop talking about how delicious it was! We had an absolute blast working with Emma and her team. From the tasting to our reception it was truly a pleasure. We cannot recommend Verbena enough! Thank you for making our cakes (we had 3) unforgettable!

It was so fun to work with Verbena to create our dream wedding cake for our wedding last month at Honeysuckle Hill! Our cake tasting was so fun (& delicious) and they were so communicative to create our cake. Most importantly, all of our guests said it was one of the best wedding cakes they've ever had. We're so excited to dig into the top layer of our cake on our one year anniversary!

In addition, we had Verbena create this AMAZING brunch spread for us for the morning of our wedding. It was the perfect way to start off our day and was amazingly delicious. They even made it look pretty and like a work of art.

We were so happy with our decision to use Verbena as a vendor and would recommend them to anyone looking for food or bakery services for their wedding.

Emma, E and their team were so lovely to work with! We had a power house team of vendors and they truly were a part of making our wedding day so perfect! First of all they were so organized and my wedding guests reported how quickly and efficiently they kept the line moving! We got so many compliments on dinner and desserts! I also loved our cake! Cherries were out of season and they were so creative and dusted gold black berries instead which was just so cute and I never would've thought to do that! You'll be in great hands and won't be disappointed if you choose Verbena! They also were so accomadating and added the sweetest little touches, in my MOH’s speech she mentioned Apple pies and they saved us some to be sent home!

Emma & her team at Verbena Events provided an unmatched service for our intimate wedding reception. We are not from the area and were blown away by their quality and thoughtfulness. From coordinating a contact-free tasting drop off through their busy schedule, answering many emails & questions, to serving myself and my husband our dinners at the reception, everything was perfect. We used Verbena a buffet dinner and dessert table! They also provided plates, chargers, silverware, napkins & water glasses. All of our guests raved that the cake was the BEST wedding cake they had ever had. So thankful to have had this connection and were lucky to have them be a part of our special day!

We used Verbena for our wedding cakes and couldn’t have picked a better spot. We are a celiac household and so my request was for gluten free cakes free from cross contamination. Verbena made us feel safe every step of the way and what’s better is that they were some of the best cakes I’ve ever had. We had a lemon cake with lavender buttercream, a maple bourbon cake with salted caramel buttercream, and a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream. Our guests loved them and so did we. I wish we saved more than we did. I can’t recommend enough. Delicious and lovely too!

Verbena did an AMAZING job with our wedding cake! It was better than we imagined! We did two different flavors and they were delicious! It was the best wedding cake I've ever had! Verbena made planning a wedding, choosing cake, & selecting meal options so very easy and fun! They were a one-stop-shop for our cake, catering, and dish rental needs. They are so friendly, helpful, & professional in every interaction, and you can tell that they love what they do. We have some cake snobs in our crew, and they LOVED the icing on our cake! 10/10 recommend for ANY catering/dessert needs!

Verbena Events catered a bridal party brunch that I participated in - and all I have to say is WOW! Their spread not only looked good, but was very tasty.

I also indulged in the bloody mary bar, and wish I had snapped some pics because they blew that out of the water as well. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious cake and so beautiful! Delivery was smooth and easy and they were responsive the whole time! Couldn't have asked for more! Would definitely recommend.

Emma and Eistir did such a beautiful job with our wedding cake and my husband's surprise dessert treats! Everything tasted amazing—our guests couldn't stop raving about the homemade peanut butter cups—and the cake was truly a work of art. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out, and we'll definitely be booking them again in the future. (We've heard how amazing their dinners are, too!)

Verbena was the talk of the town at our wedding! The food was incredible. There was something for all! Meat lovers were big fans of the smoked bacon chicken and vegans loved the lentil loaf (even non vegans were coming up to me saying "that lentil loaf was insane!"). Emma and Eistir personal came up to the bride & groom to top off their dinner and give a congratulations. Emma is also a highly skilled baker that not only kills it at desserts but also did a few gf & vegan options for us that were super delicious as well.
