Hatch Homes has completed phase 1 of 2 for our siding project. The estimate was exact with no added unknown costs. I will say the start date was longer than expected. The crews added Hardie siding to our addition, as well as beginning the process of transitioning our old aluminum siding on our existing home to Hardie. They took extra care to make sure that when they return the integrity of the home was left well and that it will cohesively all look as it was done as one job. The two crews were very respectful and great to work with. The project manager was amazing and did everything he said he would do. The project manager and crew really went above and beyond just getting a job or install completed. You can tell that they take pride their work. It was honestly one of the best experiences in renovation. Looking forward to working with them again!

We hired Hatch to complete our exterior renovation of three structures on our property- main house, guesthouse, and the car barn. Our before/after photos speak for themselves. The quality of the construction is very high. The team is very professional. We’re happy with our end result.

We experienced quite a bit of lag time on finishing our project. The crew began in February with most of the work on the main house and the guesthouse (stucco not included.) Then, they came back to finish up some loose ends and re-side our car barn at the end of June.

It felt like a long gap in between! But, it was worth the wait. Thank you Bill and everyone at Hatch Homes for making our vision come to life.

We decided to use hatch to change all the windows in our house. Our house was built in 1967 and to our knowledge the windows had never been changed, and they helped us to figure out exactly which windows would be best for the unique style of our home. Patrick is the project manager for our project, we felt he has plenty of knowledge and experience in the conversations we had with him. His professionalism was on full display, his workers were very good and he made us feel very comfortable throughout the process. When it comes time for future projects we will use hatch homes again and definitely request Patrick to be our project manager.

It might have taken a few weeks longer than expected to begin our siding project (a good sign of a busy team) but it was well worth the wait. The Hatch Home team did a fantastic job replacing my aluminum siding with Hardy Plank siding. My house looks like new.
The team was on time every day, worked professionally, and kept my property clean throughout the process. Would I recommend Hatch Homes? Absolutely. The process from beginning to end couldn’t have been easier and the results are fantastic.

Hatch homes did the Hardy board on the outside of my home. They gave me an accurate estimate with different options. The timeline for beginning work was fairly accurate. The workers were amazing, very respectful of my property, my animals and my family. I would 100% use them again! They were amazing throughout the entire process and I couldn't be happier with the end result of my home!

I cannot believe it!! After 65 years I finally had a stress free builder/construction experience! I do not know how I lucked out but Hatch Homes did a perfect and respectful job on my home, I had to replace all the windows in my home due to the trash windows my builder installed. My home is 5 years old! Hatch Homes/Bill Gayler identified what was needed, took accurate measurements and made it happen. I was kept updated weekly and always knew where I stood. We recently engaged Hatch Homes for the renovation of our residence, specifically for Hardie siding installation and exterior painting. Hatch Homes installed new siding on our house and we could not be more pleased. They removed old cedar shingle siding, installed new house wrap, and then installed Hardie board lap siding that looks great! They also installed a new door, new lights, and an awning. The whole process with them was very professional. The estimate was handled remotely and ended up being about 20% less than other estimates we had. They provided confidence concerning questionable material supply during these times of problematic supply chain performance. Once installation started they were very coordinated and explained well every step that was to be performed. Osiris, the onsite superintendent worked very hard everyday coordinating with the crew and us to get the job completed. They had scheduled a 12 day work window and were complete in 6!! As I have said, they were so professional and observant to the smallest detail. From the start of work the contract was our guiding document and we worked together to resolve change orders (some boards that needed to be replaced and a request for additional flashing that I wanted). One issue occurred and they resolved it promptly to our satisfaction. I cant say enough about the onsite folks from Osiris, to Marvin and Maurice, to Joshua and all the rest. They were conscientous, courteous, and pleasant. The house looks great and we know it will perform better and will be maintenance free for years to come. Thanks Hatch, couldnt be more happy!

Although my project—new Hardie siding, guttering, and painting— isn’t complete yet, I’ve been mostly pleased so far by Hatch Homes and its crew. That is largely due to Patrick Olszewski, the project manager. Patrick is extremely knowledgeable, fair, and patient. He takes the time to listen to the customer and works hard to make sure things are done correctly. And he’s willing to take care of extra details that assure everything is to the customer’s satisfaction. I was initially feeling a bit leery because my job got pushed far later than I expected and was worried about the winter weather in the NC mountains delaying the work even longer. Patrick heard my concerns and managed to shift things around so that the workers could complete the siding and guttering and get a good start on the painting. That helped put my mind at ease. In addition, the crew was hard working and respectful. I’m eager to see the finished project once the cold eases a bit and trust I will be happy with the workmanship. I cannot praise Patrick enough.

From start to finish, Hatch homes and their business model made our Hardie board project simple and pleasant. Each person we worked with were complete professionals. Patrick and Connor were outstanding project managers who were always on sight with their crew. I recommend Hatch homes to anyone interested in Hardie board siding and window replacements. Our home in Boone, NC, required replacement of all of the siding. After an extensive search and review on the internet, we chose Hatch Homes for the project. The pros at Hatch Homes helped us with the design and color of Hardie board and with paint and gutter selection. Patrick Olszewski, out project manager, was experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of construction. He was a delight to work with and his suggestions were invaluable. The work crew was on time and professional. They worked quickly, completing the project more quickly than I would have expected. The quality of their work is excellent and our home looks great.
In summary, my wife and I are overly pleased with the people at Hatch Homes and with the quality of their work. We highly recommend them and will be happy to talk with anyone who is considering a similar project.

The project was primarily to replace the lap siding on our home. Along with that was replacing the gutters and painting the entire exterior. The project was organized in three phases - siding replacement, painting, and gutter installation. The project manager, Arnaldo, supervised all phases of the project. The quality of the finished project exceeded our expectations. We had great communication with all three work crews. Our questions were answered and our comments and concerns were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. The area was left clean each day. We were very happy with the attention to detail, particularly with the painting. The siding crew was like a well oiled machine. At the end of the project, there were only a few minor paint touch-ups needed and they were completed within a couple days. Our project coordinators Lin and Amy were very responsive, as was the owner Bill. We were also pleased with the help that Lin and Amy provided with color selection. We are recommending Hatch Homes to our friends and neighbors and we have received numerous compliments on the quality and workmanship.

We developed a minor leak after a long slow rain. We called Hatch Homes and they responded very quickly and we had an appointment scheduled for the next week. The job supervisor, Patrick, brought an entire crew to address the roof leak and to repair the interior. They discovered a minor flaw with the flashing and made the repair. It was apparent that Patrick had a good amount of experience with issues like this and he assured us that they had fixed this issue. The crew completed the drywall repair on the same day. Patrick asked us to wait until the next significant rain before returning for the final sand and paint. We did experience additional water leaks after the next rain. Patrick and his crew promptly returned and discovered that this leak was coming from roof damage caused by a tree limb. Even though this was not their fault, Hatch Homes repaired the roof and interior dry wall. This is what I would call excellent service. I cannot say what another company would do in this situation but I can say that we are glad that we chose Hatch Homes. If you go with Hatch Homes, ask for Patrick as the job supervisor. You will be very satisfied .

A neighbor recommended us to check out Hatch Homes for our siding, gutter, soffit and fascia replacement based on their own experience with Hatch. After meeting with Lin via Zoom we decided to work with Hatch vs the other two companies we’d already vetted. The competitive rate was one reason, but the other was Lin’s attention detail and asking all the right questions to ensure we would receive not just want we needed, but what we wanted.

The job was delayed longer than expected but the owner, Bill Gayler, took the time to speak with us directly to explain why the delays were happening and what he was doing to remedy the situation.

Day one of the work was challenging because Bill and his team encountered several unexpected issues, due to poor building construction and lack of previous owner maintenance. However, at each turn, Bill and Connor took the time to explain, very specifically, what they found, the recommended fix, and the estimate for additional costs.

There was one hiccup that happened during the job but Bill and Connor worked with us closely and diligently to ensure the issue was handled appropriately and fairly, to which we were all very satisfied with the outcome. Patrick helped us out tremendously and even assisted us with questions and concerns that were entirely unrelated to the job, just out of sheer kindness and desire to help.

Bill had expressed to us prior to beginning the job that he and his crew treat every home as if it’s their own. Based on our experience, we can attest to that statement.

I am extremely happy with the entire experience working with Hatch Homes on a fairly large project. They replaced my siding with Hardy Board, decking floor and rails with Trex, gutters with larger gutters and gutter guards, shutters with composite material shutters, window box installation, and exterior painting of the window frames, doors, and foundation to match the colors of the Hardy Board and Trex.

I could not be happier with the outcome of the project. My house looks fantastic and is exactly what I had envisioned. I also couldn't be happier with the way I was treated during every phase of the project. I always knew exactly what I was getting and felt supported by everyone throughout the process. I referred several homeowners to them based on my experience.

Sales and Design: My positive experience started with the sales person. She listened to what I wanted from this project. Based on our discussion, she prepared an itemized estimate for the work I wanted, including multiple options that we discussed and varying materials for the deck that I was considering and sent me sample materials so I could see the materials together and select the perfect combination. We then talked through every item and adjusted according to my selections until I was certain it reflected everything I wanted. The job was then moved to the designer who worked with me on selecting and refining colors and the placement of the different Hardy materials. She worked with a three-dimensional model of the house so I could see what the materials and colors looked like on my house until I was thrilled with my color selections. Her recommendations were spot on and improved the look of the house. For example, she recommended a different color for the deck floor that really made a difference in the final look.

Project Manager and Quality Control: Once the project started, the project manager reviewed the contract with me to ensure we both had the same understanding. He walked with me around the house and we discussed all the details. During the project, the project manager met with me every day to discuss the project and ask any questions. One week into the project, a management team (including the owner) and a training team came out to the project to ensure that everything was being done correctly and according to the company's high standards. This level of quality control impressed me!

Construction and Painting: The construction team stayed with the project until it was done. They were polite, competent, efficient, and asked questions if/when they wanted to be sure of specific details. A second team of painters came to complete the painting aspect of the project, and was also quick and efficient.

Final Inspection: At the end, I created a "punch list" of final details that needed to be addressed and the final walk through was completed. The owner came out himself to ensure that everything was done to company standards and added a few items to my list. He also discussed the project with me. I was so impressed that he was concerned about the smallest details. The construction team completed the work and ensured that my property was clean before they left. I then provided the final payment.

Again, I could not be happier with the outcome of the project. I highly recommend Hatch Homes for exterior work based on my experience with the total project.

Having a good understanding of construction process, this group was great. Attention to detail, punctual, informative on the work and due to the weather if and when they were to continue the work. We did get the Hardie Siding, windows and doors and were amazed on the temperature inside the house after the first chill of the winter. We did receive other estimates which was very close to Hatch Homes price but we would have received far less quality in the siding, windows and the doors. Many other companies in the area did not bother to show up to give us an estimate or did not bother to return our calls. After meeting with Bill we were confident in hiring Hatch Homes to do the work. We are thrilled with our decision. They did an outstanding job.

Hatch installed new sliding doors and completely replaced our siding & window surrounds with "Hardieboard." They did a great job. Solid craftsmanship and professionalism..... and finished ahead of schedule!!

Hatch homes had the lowest bid.. They used video technology to do most of the up front proposal work. Bill G was available and informative.. They then offered a financing deal that met my needs... Did windows and aluminum siding.. Took care of an unexpected issue that can happen with a 60 yr old home..Every one was polite, efficient and tidy. One of the few renovations I can say went as good as they said it was during the sales pitch.
I would highly reccomend.

Hatch Homes came in and took off all the siding on the house along with the old blackboard backing and insulation. They then installed new insulation, put up plywood backing, wrapped the house with TY wrap and then put up James Hardie Singles. They also replaced the picture window in front of the house. This crew was awsume to work with. They were on time and came to work. They were so organized and knew exactly what they were doing. They were always polite and wanting to know if everything was to our satisfaction. A very big shout out to Osiris, Arnaldo, Marvin, Josue and Maurice. Job well done. Thank you.
