My partner and I have been coming here occasionally the past 2 years and have never had a complaint. Pretty much the only place I’ll come to for a charcuterie board because it’s all delicious and for a great price. Staff has always been pleasant whether we’ve come when it was slower or super busy. Great place for a date or if you just want a nice atmosphere to read a book. Anytime I’ve had a question they’ve promptly emailed back.

What a unique experience I had at the Book Exchange! I loved the library atmosphere and would have liked to have spent all afternoon there! I had a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc with a tuna salad croissant and a fashionable, delicious side salad with champagne vinaigrette! Such a wonderful treat!

This place is so cool, with all of the books to browse and/or purchase while being able to enjoy some wine and hang out. The string trio playing the night we were there was a super nice touch. Wish we could have hung out longer, but we had a dinner reservation to get to. If I ever get back to Asheville this place will definitely be on my list for a revisit.

We absolutely love this place both for its amazing selection of books and the champagne flights. This is a charming and lovely place to go. You will need reservations if you plan to do the champagne flakes or tea and scones it fills up very quickly. I definitely recommend this as I do not miss. In fact, I took my bridesmaids there for a bridal party prior to my wedding, and everyone was enamored!

Walked in having no idea how charming, warm, welcoming an experience I was going to have. The tea was elegant and delicious, the blueberry scone with butter just right and being surrounded by books, live music, sounds of friends and families enjoying a night out: a perfect evening out.
A Must visit and enjoy.

Breathtaking, Magnificent Experience. 😍😍😍 I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. You can either read or head to the bar. Wine & Books, your heart’s best friends. ❤

Don’t come to Asheville without visiting Battery Park Book Exchange! Easily one of my favorite spots on our trip here. They had an excellent selection of used (and new) books and who doesn’t love the chance to walk around a book store with a glass of champagne in hand? You need reservations to sit at one of the various couch/table areas but the Gatsby bar upstairs has extra seating for all. The staff was also very helpful in pointing out books and genres that I was looking for as the place is quite expansive.

The Book Exchange was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Ashville for a bachelorette party. Donna helped plan a champagne flight tasting for us, and was so attentive to every request. Every detail was PERFECT! She even surprised us with desserts and party favors. The food and champagne were delicious as well (our favorite was the trout dip!). If you are looking for a place to enjoy some champagne or cocktails with a unique vibe in the best way, look no further. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful place. We were going there just to explore the book store, but as soon as we entered I knew we needed a table and had to get wine and some snacks!!! The place is just so quant with all the books and comfortable seating. The food everyone was getting looked delicious. They also have a beautiful front patio and people were sitting outside with their dogs. Our desserts were amazing and this place was a bright spot in our travels to Asheville. We will definitely be coming back.

Went here for lunch with my husband (it's our second visit to this delightful restaurant). There's a beautiful patio dining area & I was excited there was an available table for us. I love the delicious food & beautiful presentation. Will continue going for sure!

This concept is unique and works! The champagne bar (complete with charcuterie) pairs nicely with a well-curated selection of books of all varieties. The staff is friendly and is great to talk to about book selections. This is my second visit and I will be coming back every time I'm in town.

Very unique spot for food and drinks while exploring their wide selection of books. I did not get to try any of the food or drinks, but I would definitely come back for a drink next time.

Had to figure out how to get in, but once in, what a treasure. We were just going to browse but then just had to stay a little while longer. Just to be among the books and people that love books. Wonderful snack! Next time, we will have to do the sandwiches. Our Bookclub was in Asheville for our annual trip... somewhere different each year...We will remember this bookstore!

This 21 and over restaurant, bar, and used book store is unique, eclectic, and a delight. This, it is a great place to meet friends for small bites, salads, desserts, and drinks. There was live music at lunch. It is not traditional. We loved the atmosphere. Our server was great.

Went here for part of my birthday. First the charcuterie boards are fabulous. Then the drinks are so pretty and fun. Also tasty :) Then there are the books and it was honesty the best part my visit. I could spend hours there and I did. Definitely a staple everyone should visit.

Cutest place I’ve been to in months! I love it, I would have given 4 stars is because the wait between getting seated to having my drink order taken was 10ish min but I don’t know their staffing situation and they may not be able to help it if they don’t have enough employees. they were busy setting up for a party later and I felt like they could have used more staff since they had up a sign that we were allowed to approach the bar. It didn’t affect the quality of the service though once they arrived and drinks was still great! I just felt staff might be overworked

This place is such a little treasure. The concept of a book store that serves food, cocktails, and bakery items is brilliant. I love the different levels with books galore and seating on every level. My only complaint was the not so friendly hostess. I was alone and wanted to sit outside but the table offered to me was inside and felt out in the open. If I was with someone else I may not have minded but I felt a little on display. I asked if I could sit outside but she said nothing was available but a few minutes later sat a couple outside. I still enjoyed myself and my waiter was fantastic, I wish I remembered his name.

Don’t forget the kids section! We spent a good 20 minutes in the kids section checking out the amazing old school books they had. Then, we were blessed to have the Curator come and visit us! He was amazing! He pointed out how they work so hard to get all of the classics the children lol. He prided himself on making sure that our children had the best time ever while the adults were busy champagne drinking away :-)
