Best food I've ever eaten in an old gas station!! Catfish was better than any fish joint I've tasted in a very very long time. Can't wait for them to open back up after Christmas so I can try the rest of the menu!!!

I LOVE this diner!!!! I especially am in love with Sundays and the hot bar!!!! They have the BEST stewed chicken, big thanks to Becky. And, amazing sides, my favorite being Miss Robin's broccoli casserole!!!! The staff are always amazing.... We appreciate you all.... Even the waitress crew. Melinda and Courtney etc. Your ALL amazing even old Eddie!!!

Best diner-style breakfast my husband and I have had in a long time! Waitress was super nice and friendly. Their biscuits, gravy, and deep-fried livermush were awesome. We will definitely drive from Lenoir to Big D's for breakfast again soon!

If you are looking for some great food served by really nice folks, this is the place for you. Don't let the outside fool you, this place has some really good down home country cookin on the inside. My wife and I were passing through today and saw D's on Google. We love little out of the way diners and this one was perfect for us. Prices are good and the portions are VERY generous. D is a big guy and he heaps it on like he was the one eating. You will NOT leave hungry. Highly recommended!!

I didn't know this place existed until recently and only 8 mins from my house. Kickick myself for not finding out sooner. This was the absolute best meal I have had since my mother was still living. It soothed me to have found a great meal in a home feel environment and will def be back very soon. Prices were good but for me having this all around comfort again was priceless anyways.

Good country cooking . Everyday there is a special. We enjoy eating their meatloaf special on Sunday. You haven't seen southern hospitallity till they greet ya on your way inside the door.
