My new favorite restaurant in all of North Carolina. Right off 127 in Hickory, a modest building hides an amazing restaurant with some of the best fried shrimp I have ever tasted that happens to also be gluten free. Plus the hush puppies are also gluten free! I had the trifecta of Fried Shrimp, hush puppies and great tartar sauce for the first time in over 15 years since I had to go gluten free. This is no accident, the chef herself is gluten free and expertly crafts the seasoned breading by hand. She also made a killer pumpkin cheesecake with gluten free graham cracker crumbs and makes several other GF cakes that I hope to sample soon. Also the soups are GF and amazing like everything we tried! I would give this place six stars if I could. We just loved this place for the food, the great customer service and down home atmosphere! Well done!

First time here. Don’t know why I haven’t been here until today!? Outstanding! The menu automatically draws you in. Very creative! I got the trailhead dog. Very good. Hush puppies. very good. Everything was very good. Broccoli salad,, amazing. Service was just as good. Inside was super clean as well. I can’t wait to go back and try new stuff!! I highly recommend this place!

The staff were awesome and the food was even better. My wife is gluten free and their menu is huge with foods she can eat to include fried foods. We left so full! The staff are all family and are so friendly. Their grab and go section is great too! So much to choose from. My personal recommendation would be fried shrimp with Brunswick stew, potato salad, broccoli salad, hush puppies, oh my…so much good food.

We were so excited to find a new place that offers GF options for our family. They take it seriously - changing gloves, separate prep area and 2 dedicated fryers. The customer service was great and they were all so friendly.

I was passing through Hickory and spotted this place. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and offered good suggestions. Obviously, I chose the 2 dog combo. Food was quick and delicious. Toppings on the dogs were generous without being overbearing. I’m not usually a crinkle cut fry person, but these were well-seasoned and the secret sauce dip they brought out was a nice mix of tangy and sweet. I would definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

Let me start by saying this place has a million wonderful gluten free options. And all are very tasty. The lady that waited on me was very kind. She said they make pretty much everything on sight. Super great place to visit and get some food that's delicious.

So good. The GF strawberry cake is life changing. The food is wonderful and the staff is also very nice. Super happy to find this place!

First time trying it. The food was great, nice atmosphere and friendly service. I was also in the area so it was convenient and actually the best choice from all other establishments.

First time trying this place with my wife and we loved it! We love their hotdogs and the nacho with brisket was awesome! We will be back and hopefully try their soups and bbq plate next time.

They have a great variety of food. They have hot dogs that are so good and they have any kind you would want on the menu. Their fries and hush puppies are excellent, so is the barbecue (the BBQ sauce is on the side, so you control how much you want). Those are the only things I have personally tried but my sister says the brisket is really good also.

Beyond thankful for a safe place for my son and I to eat since being diagnosed with celiacs disease eating out has been a challenge! Thank you guys! The food and desserts are AMAZING!

My Grandson picked Charlie Graingers as the place he wanted to have his 5th birthday lunch with his family. This was my first time to eat here. I had the White Bean and Brisket soup and shared the yummy Brisket Nachos. I can see why this restaurant was featured on the travel channel. The food is delicious. Judging by the crowd, the only thing Charlie Graingers needs is a huge seating area. I hope I can go back the next time I visit my Grandchildren.

This food was amazing and everyone was friendly and fast. Dogs are killer. Gumbo rocks. Brisket sandwich is mouthwatering. Soups are great also. Will come back a lot. Go here now.

A killer hot dog joint with great small town vibes! The chili on the hot dogs is soooo good- we are glad we went out of the way to stop here! Try the Mac and cheese - it’s creamy and perfect!

I was told the Nachos were the second best thing on the menu, I will be back to find out the first as well! The small is plenty and has plenty of taste. Service was impeccable!!

Food was delicious! Most all of the tables were full, but we still got our food in less than 10 minutes? Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Fantastic food and fantastic people! I eat here Everytime I come to hickory for work! I love their Mac daddy tacos and reccomend anything they have! As you can tell I have tried quite a bit!

This place is AWESOME. As much as I’d like to try some of the other items they have on the menu, I can’t stop getting the bbq nachos. The service is great and you can usually get in and out in a timely manner.

I tried their legend hotdog, really delicious . They have seating inside and out front in the courtyard. Owner came around to each table and introduced himself. Refills are free on all soft drinks . Weekends are a great time to visit this time of year due to the farmers market. Make it an afternoon treat
