This place has it all: food is yummy and original, service is fast, friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere is great, and their selection of beers is spectacular. I have discovered a local variety that has become my new favorite!

The place was very dark upon arrival and I wasn't sure about the vibe, but the menu looked good and not crazy expensive, so we sat down. They have a lot of things that can be made vegan! I got a New moon sandwich and it was delicious. The slaw was great too. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

This place is so unassuming from the outside that it took us a bit to find it. It was worth the effort. Friendly service and perhaps the most delicious cheesy spinach artichoke dip I've ever had. My husband loved his flatbread and they had a great range of beers. Only slight downside was that it was a bit draughty where we were seated from the AC system. I was glad I had my warm cardigan and scarf. Will definitely be back. Great find.

Cozy dive bar. Came in on a Monday afternoon and their sanitation score went from 98.5 to a 99 so big thumbs up for that. Bartender recommended the crescent moon sandwich with the potato salad which did not disappoint. The thing I appreciated the most was the soft warm bread the sandwich came in, I’m always hesitant to order sandwiches from bars because they’re usually stale but they did good. Also I appreciate a solid German beer on draft and they had Paulaner’s Hefeweizen which is delicious if you are a wheat beer drinker

Crescent Moon Cafe is a great budget-friendly restaurant in Downtown Hickory. We tend to go around lunchtime during the workweek. They have a great staff that takes care of you promptly, respecting a person's lunch hour. The food is phenomenal as well. Highly recommend trying the Cresent Moon Sandwich!

Stopped in for dinner last night with my wife. Had a good selection on drinks and beverages. Dinner was super well done for quick and easy.

Looking forward to going again.

I've been to Hickory for dinner and date night many times but recently have been eating more plant-based so in searching for vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Hickory this popped up. It did not disappoint. Great beer options, wine options, and the hummus + edamame was outstanding. Really enjoyed the relaxed vibe and service.

I was looking for a spot for supper and stumbled upon this hidden gem! What a way to ring in the new year! The service was amazing and was following all of the protocols put in place by the state. I ordered the Lunar Sub on a gluten free bun with nacho chips and homemade salsa as my side and a Bubs Cherry Pink Lemonade Seltzer. The food was delicious and it was the perfect portion size for a meal. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a local bite to eat and a cold beverage!

Today was my frist time eating there. Staff were very friendly. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was great. I will be back. I had the homemade sloppy joe and a salad. Was delicious

we are a couple of vegans traveling from Asheville North Carolina back home to Virginia Beach. We are used to having pretty decent vegan options but not on the road. We were very pleasantly surprised. The nachos were awesome and the tempeh tacos and full Moon BBQ tempeh sandwich was really good too!!

Great place to grab a drink. Haven't tried the food yet will update when I do. I love right down the street so I love that I can walk but that a me thing.

First time with my brother. Food, service and atmosphere was overall 100% chill. Just what my generation likes for a good Thursday night dinner at the bar 👌

New in Hickory and all the libraries were closed or being renovated. Couldn't find a decent place to sit down and study Spanish but these guys were "muy suave" to let me crack my book in the back with "un cerveza y estudiar mi español". Ja...Es muy bien amigos. If you ever need to leave town and study in a chill, friendly and welcoming atmosphere this is the place. Just avoid the later hours with crowds.

Great food with some unique healthy choices! One of the best beer selections in town! The atmosphere is eclectic and inclusive. An excellent choice for a meal or a place to relax with friends!

Great selection of food, and nice options if you are vegan. Everything tasted good. The beer selection is also great. I had their porter. Yum!

We go at least once a week for lunch. The quality of the food from this little bar is unexpected, but very good. There isn't a fryer, so no french fries or onion rings. But the potato salad is pretty amazing. And all of the sandwiches are really great. Try the Pimento. And the beer selection is 20+ on tap as well.

A friend and I ate here for the first time and enjoyed it very much. The outside is deceptive to how cute and comfortable you will find the interior. Clean facility with nice tables, and comfy chairs throughout. The restaurant is difficult to spot if you have not been there before. The large "for lease" banner hanging above the restaurant on the outside gives the impression the restaurant is closed, which does not help. The friend I was meeting said that even though her GPS kept saying the restaurant was on her left, she could not figure out where it was. The food was delicious. I got the special of the day; a turkey mushroom melt and it was tasty! Their potato salad was scrumptious! They have a huge selection of fun craft beers. I was also very impressed with how reasonable their prices were. It is difficult to find a sit-down meal for under $10. You will not have a problem with that at Crescent Moon. Beer prices were reasonable as well. What a refreshing change from the high prices at most quality restaurants. Definitely five-stars when the food, price and service were all great! Thank you, I will be back. :)
