My wife and I bought our small cottage home in 2018 and waited 5 long years before we were done raising kids to finally move in and make it our own. The only problem we had was furnishing and decorating a whole house for the first time in our lives. I can tell you we are not interior decorators. Our previous furniture had been chosen for durability and teenage boy proofing, so we were not prepared for the overwhelming choices and lack of direction we would encounter. Until we found Chris and his support staff at Dwellings. Chris' kind, quiet demeanor and expert guidance was just what we needed. The showroom is beautiful and gave us so many ideas. The quality of the furniture was just what we were looking for, furniture that would last for years to come. Chris took time to help us chose color combinations and fabrics for our living room suit and when we changed our minds on the rug color we had chosen, he did everything in his power to make the exchange happen smoothly and painlessly. We can't speak highly enough about our experience at Dwellings. Each time we ventured out to buy additional furnishings, we always ended up coming back to Dwellings. The quality of the furniture is top notch and very competitively priced. We highly recommend Dwellings not only for their quality, but for their expertise, patience, and kindness.

The whole crew at Dwellings made our house in Asheville a home. We were fortunate to meet Tanya and Chris in-store. They were patient with us and allowed us the freedom to browse and come to the conclusion that we could really utilize Tanya’s expert eye, design style and knowledge of inventory, both in-store and elsewhere, to make our visions a reality. Tanya came to our house, took measurements, listened and helped us with choices that made sense with our aesthetic. She was there to ensure all was delivered according to plan and placed with expert care. We were fortunate to have our dining, living, and bedrooms perfectly appointed. We loved our experience so much that when we moved to Tampa, FL for a new job opportunity, we immediately thought of Tanya to again help in making our new house our new home. In these crazy times, they’ve proved the remote model works...we took pictures and videos and measurements, and once again, were listened to, provided choices, and are thrilled with each piece selected. Brady was excellent on delivery and set-up of the pieces, despite the 600+ mile trek. We really appreciate the services and expertise of Tanya and Chris and all the staff at Dwellings. We are thrilled to have them on our side, particularly as we look around and are constantly reminded of the wonderful interactions!

It’s so rare to find outstanding inventory, design acumen, and great customer service in one spot. My experience at Dwellings was perfect—I got the guidance and consultation I needed to find the missing pieces for my home. All at a very competitive price. And even in the age of COVID when there are often delays due to supply chain, I got my furniture in a timely fashion with frequent updates from Dwellings.

This is a great store. Help was available when I needed it but I never felt pushed or crowded. These folks don't work on commission and aren't just trying to make a sale. Quality and reputation matters to them. It's evident. The price on the tag is the price of the furniture so you don't have to worry if you are getting the best deal. So much more integrity than I've found at other stores. It's apparent in what they sell too. We tried so many uncomfortable dining chairs around here and in Knoxville. We ended up with several good options at Dwellings but when Chris put his design skills to work, he put together the most perfect chairs for us. We couldn't be more pleased!

Chris and his team were an enormous pleasure to work with throughout the process, and the furniture, rugs and decorative accessories they sourced for us are beautiful, high-quality, and tasteful pieces that did not break the bank. Dwellings created a stunning vacation home for us which has been booking week after week since it first listed as a rental! Highly recommended!

The best. We moved to the area in August 2016 and have needed a number of items to furnish our new house. We look at other stores but keep coming back to Dwellings. Beautiful pieces, very helpful and non-pushy staff, and such an attractive showroom.
