Pack Memorial Library

I am enjoying the Pack Library programs: they are easy to register for, there is a good mix to choose from, and are scheduled at convenient times.

A quick note about author Sandra E. Johnson's workshop on her books and resiliency journaling...bring her back! It (and she) was excellent.

Nice clean library with friendly staff! Out of county cards only $20 and a huge selection of used and withdrawn books. Great collections and lots of quiet areas to sit and enjoy a book

Surprised to see that they have a used book for sale section inside. What a cool idea. Went in and found a few books we liked and purchased. Great way to support a local library as well.

Its a library but they do have a wide selection of books you can check out and computers you can log into

Great public library with lots of extra features. There’s a used bookstore filled with old volumes that are discarded, a few historic exhibits on display, and a revamped special collections room downstairs renamed the ‘Carolina Record Shop.’

Did NOT know there was a used bookstore inside Pack Library! I was walking by and saw the sign and squealed in glee on the street that a passerby actually looked at me weird 😄. Bookends is inside the library, when you go into the main part it is on the left. WOW to their selection and prices!!! I got like 8 books and my total was under $10 even though some were paperback! They only take cash or check and they even have a friends of the library membership for $15. This is seriously the best priced used bookstore in Asheville and they have a GREAT selection. I was pleasantly surprised they had a spiritual/new age section since a few used bookstores in the area don’t have that. Highly recommend! ✨

I'm prejudiced because I worked there, but it has a stellar collection of books, C.D., videos and more for adults, teens, and children. The N.C. Collection is a fabulous resource open to the public for research consisting the of works of interest to the people and history of WNC. They accept donations of family memorabilia related to their mission -- originals or reproductions.
There are public meeting rooms, general interest programs for both adults and children, computers for public use and so much more. I have even been brave enough to download an audio book during the public closing and have learned a new skill. Of course, the staff is told!

They have a good selection of books that are biased on true stories about the CIA programs and study's, there wifi is great

Awesome $1 used bookstore inside! They were only accepting cash, so come prepared. They had an awesome selection, and if we had more cash, we would have bought more! This was a great place to get a souvenir at a local stop.

The librarian here is a very cool guy. Very helpful with information, good taste in reading material. Does a good job. Gotta hand it to him, he’s a hard worker. Nice staff members.

Awesome place to meet fellow tax-free travelers like myself. Great place to charge your phone and clean yourself up during the day. The staff doesn't turn us away like some places do. Theres computers to watch youtube and lots of books if you like reading lol ew. Will Return 10/10. Shout out to CornBob!

I needed two obituaries from the Asheville Citizen from previous years and live mid-state. Katherine Cutshall found and emailed them to me very quickly. The obituaries gave us new information for a family history we are working on. The quick response and friendly service is much appreciated.

Great staff, location, and even a performance space with great sound.

Always very friendly. Kids area is perfect. Not the best new adult fjction selection though. Little sad to see the amount of homeless seeking refuge from,the cold weather though.
