Great place for craft beer. The selection is large, and they carry singles of singles of most products so you can try before you buy.

I wanted to give a craft beer variety for a gift. The gentleman there put together an interesting combination of craft beers that delighted the recipients. The inside decor and variety of product made the trip worthwhile.

One of the best places in WNC for a craft beer, hands down! Ben and his staff are absolutely incredible and I'm constantly impressed with everything they've done with the place. The beer is organized in an efficient and easy to find manner, with plenty of selections for both national and international brands. Plenty of take home options with a huge draft list as well, and I've seen some cool events there like trivia and some big releases. A must stop if you are in the hickory area.

This shop has one if the best curated beer selections I've ever seen, and definitely has the best in Hickory. They have everything from local craft brews to world renowned beers from across the country, and even selections from the rest of the globe. The best part is that they have an amazing draught list as well. It's not just a bottle shop, it's an awesome taproom as well. Go check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Service and selection is great. Children are welcome, well behaved dogs are welcome, Trivia night is fun, people of all ages come here and nobody behaves badly and it has some of the feeling of "Cheers" (the old TV show). I have made many friends here and the owners are great people. Good place to relax, learn more about beers and meet good people.

Sooo many kinds if craft beer to buy by the can/bottle and lots of great beer on draft to enjoy on-site. You can even buy food somewhere else and eat it there to enjoy with your beer. Owner operated. Nice guy. Game room downstairs. Support local.

Incredible selection, very well organized. Wide variety of beers to drink while you shop and socialize. A large percentage of the beer is something you can’t find in any store around here. Highly recommend for anyone that appreciates the elixir of life or for anyone who wants to learn to appreciate high quality beer.

Super chill spot in downtown Hickory. Fantastic beer selection and a bunch of good choices on draft. The basement game room is great and there's a nice relaxed seating vibe upstairs as well. Highly recommended!

Visited during Covid, so did not get the full experience, but the beer selection in the coolers was AMAZING! I could just come here and look at the beer labels! This place is great if you want to try a bunch of beers, they sell single cans. Will be back soon!

This place is my favorite in Hickory. If you are a craft brew aficionado, this is the place for you. They always have 12 beers on tap and rotate them constantly. As an aside, I am a huge fan of sour beers, and this place is the only place in town that has them! The best part of Craft Beer Cellar is they let you take your pups in (if they're not misbehaved!) and sit with you for a drink. You can also bring in other food since they dont serve anything to eat. I would highly recommend!

Great selection for beer lovers. Nice and very helpful staff. Lots of NC breweries represented, keeping it local. Many drafts on tap for 32 oz growlers.

Wide selection of craft beers at VERY reasonable prices. Great collection on tap! Very friendly staff. Need to stock your fridge?, this is the place. Plenty of parking right in front!

Really cool place. Took me a few minutes to wrap my mind around the expansive selection when first walking in. Tried 5 great beers on tap that I'd never had before and walked out with other 5 beers I'd never had before. Cool atmosphere, staff were very chill and helpful. A place I look forward to stopping at again when I'm in the area.

I'd find it hard to believe that someone rate the Craft Beer Cellar anything lower than 5 stars based on my lone experience. There are a wealth of options for in-house consumption or to carry out. I believe that 16 different beers were available on draft. Pairing that info with a pair of knowledgeable individuals working at the Craft Beer Cellar, and engaging in convos with locals, regulars and reps just added to the enjoyable time of liquid fulfillment.

Friendly, casual atmosphere and HUGE beer selection. Trivia night every Thursday is lots of fun! They do not serve food/snacks, but they don't mind if you bring your own.
