Bebettes: A New Orleans Coffeehouse

New Orleans themed coffee shop. Had a very unique selection of drinks and specials. I definitely recommend for a cool assortment you can't get other places.

Melts in you're mouth goodness! Arrived when they 1st opened. We split the classic beignets (3 in an order) with chocolate... Mmm piping hot and the chocolate was just the right amount of sweet. We also shared the Plain Jane sandwich, you better like egg because there's a generous portion of it. The bread is so savory and buttery. Just delicious! We would definitely come back but not too soon. It's way to rich to eat often.

Just happened upon a sign for a "New Orleans coffeeshop" while exploring downtown Asheville and hoped they'd have beignets. Very pleasantly surprised that they did AND even had seasonal pumpkin spice beignets. Just as delicious as anything I've had in NOLA!

This is a new place for us, and was recommended by a friend.

We got one classic beignet to split, then my husband got a drip coffee and a basic sandwich, and I got a chocoholic's dream mocha and a country sandwich. The beignet sandwiches were incredible. I have never had anything like them.

We got there right when they opened on a Sunday morning, and by the time we left they were already starting to fill up. There is very little indoor seating but several outdoor tables (it's a very small space). Drinks were made quickly and sandwiches came out fast. They even had a dog treat for the dog at the next table.

I cannot wait to go back and try this again, maybe for lunch so I can try a different type of sandwich. Service was fast, staff was friendly, and I really hope this place stays for a long time.

Our begñets (sp?) were delicious and the cafe au lait was very tasty, even though it was more like cappuccino. They never told us there were tables and chairs in the adjacent lobby, so we sat at these tiny tables on a bare bench. It was tight, but fun.

What a great shop for some sweet goodness. The bignets are so damn good, and the varieties are fun. We loved the churro ones! The bignet sandwich offerings are super fun too.

This is the first I've heard of a beignet sandwich, but man was it good! My boyfriend and I split the Goat of Monte Cristo, and both loved it! The coffee here was solid, and I really enjoyed the matcha latte, as it had more powder in it than I'm used to getting, which resulted in a really rich flavor and texture. Overall, would definitely recommend this place.

These beignets are fantastic! Love the variety of options. We got the churro and daily special which was custard stuffed with strawberries and whipped cream. Both were delicious but I particularly enjoyed the strawberry ones - the custard was so light and creamy! We also loved their lattes with homemade syrups. We plan to come back next time we're in Asheville!

Amazing lattes here. Every drink has been so good. I will say I wish they had more interesting sandwich combos. Like salmon, cream cheese, avocados, leafy greens, etc. Or more sweet options. Lol maybe one day I'll try the king sandwich even though I am slightly puzzled about the ingredients.

Service was friendly and quick. Wish there were some chairs at the tables for couples XD. Most importantly tho, the beignets ofc are delicous and I like that they have options for gluten free hash browns if a customer is inclined.

Walking around downtown we stopped into this gem! It was the beignets that initially caught my attention but everything from start to finish was amazing! Customer service was excellent! Very friendly and accommodating. Coffee and beignets were to die for. With so many coffee options in the area, make sure you stop here. Not only do they have good food and drink options, but the service really is top notch.

Who would have thought beignets are better in Asheville than New Orleans. I've been to Café Du Monde and honestly Bebettes beignets outshine even the best. They were so perfectly prepared and delicious.

Each bite was fluffy and delicious and the idea of dipping sauces made a powdered sugar pastry unique. The chocolate sauce was on point.

Personally I recommend the squares, they'll tell you the fingers, but the squares are so perfectly crispy and soft. Also the sandwiches are on point. I would have never thought to use a beignet as bread, but it works!

Decided to come to Asheville on a day date with my wife. Knowing she loves beignets, I found this place and decided to give it a try..... In a nutshell, this place was bomb! Never knew there was a beignet sandwich until stopping here and my life will never be the same after. I ordered the Goat of Monte Cristo and the warm flakiness of the beignet mixed with the meat, goat cheese and raspberry preserves was amazing! My wife got The King - banana, peanut butter, bacon drizzled with chipotle honey. The chipotle honey really made the sandwich with the sweetness with a touch of heat but not very spicy at all. I would put it on everything if I had a bottle because it was so good! Highly recommend this place if you want to wow your wife with sweets first thing in the morning!

The beignets! So good and clearly made with love. This place is a jewel. The churro beignets are the best on the menu.

Outside of that, the customer service and coffee drinks are top notch as well. Try the El Coyote or French Lavender lattes.

Stopped here three times on our family's short trip to Asheville.

I came here on a brunch date the other day for the first time and this place did not disappoint! The staff was very nice and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the caprese and the golden milk latte with oatmilk which were SO fresh and SO delicious 🤤💕 The outdoor seating was super cute as well and I am so glad the weather was good enough for it. If you ever are close by, I highly suggest you stop for a bite!

Bebette's was tiny and fabulous! Freshest beignets ever. Fluffy, crisp, toothy - just perfect. Wonderful, personable staff in a teeny intimate workspace.

I got The King. You know what that means: bacon, peanut butter, and banana. Hot chipotle honey brought it all together. I honestly expected one beignet cut in half as a bun. This monster took 2 rounds to eat LOL Delicious both times.

My BFF's Goat of Monte Cristo was yum, with Canadian bacon, goat cheese, and raspberry(?) jelly.

My Cafe au Lait was delicious and hit the spot! This hidden-in-plain-sight gem is a must-visit!

My gf and i literally stumbled into this place by random chance looking for some breakfast on vacation, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese beignet breakfast sandwich, and my gf got the garlic aioli BLT beignet sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. If we ever find ourselves in Asheville again, we will absolutely be doing a return trip to this wonderful little restaurant.

As another reviewer put it, the beignet sandwiches are to die for. As we were eating, the first thing that came to mind was, why don't all breakfast sandwiches come served on beignets? We are in Asheville for the weekend, and even though there are so many places to try, I'm very tempted to come back here a second time to try more things off the menu. We got the goat cheese raspberry bacon, beignet sandwich and the garlic BLT beignet sandwich, and both were amazing. Also the lattes are delicious. I asked for advice on which one to pick, and the wonderful Lady at the counter told me that I could do the salted caramel combined with the food of the gods, which I highly recommend for a bit of salty, sweet and spicy all at the same time.

I cannot believe how fantastic the beignets and the café au lait is at Babettes. I felt like I was in New Orleans at the world famous café duMonde having the most amazing afternoon snack. This is a must do when you are in Asheville at the Grove Arcade.

Great experience here. Friendly staff, were able to sit outside on a beautiful morning and sip coffee and tea. I got earl grey and it was good quality. The beignet was delicious and side of fruit was very fresh. A great find, would definitely come again

Excellent coffee, absolutely amazing beignets, & quick service by very sweet and friendly staff! We were in the mood for some good coffee and a snack on a day out in Asheville, and we were very fortunate to find this coffeehouse gem. I've never had better beignets, and their chocolate sauce was divine. The welcoming energy of everyone behind the counter truly brightened our day! Would HIGHLY recommend, just wish there was one of these back home in Wisconsin! 💕
