Rowan Coffee

A small coffee shop with a variety of selection of coffee, tea, and pastries. The baristas served the coffee fast. My friend also got an almond croissant which was warm with a custard-like filling. The cashier also helped me with choice of a bag of coffee beans which was roasted in this shop.
There are some tables and seating area. However it was pretty crowded on weekend mornings so be prepared to grab and go.

Ordered a silky breve latte. Drinks are definitely made with love of the craft. Cozy spot, parking next door, and the cohesive branding is a bonus. You walk in, and you know they're serious about making quality cups of coffee.

We had more than one coffee shop owner friend refer this beautiful place when they heard we were heading up to Asheville— and they were absolutely right! We each had an oat milk cortado while the kids enjoyed hot chocolate from the window seat. There was a massive line, but it went shockingly quickly and the staff maintained composure the entire time. We will definitely return next time we find traveling through.

Love their coffee and lattes. It has a near 1920s vibe inside. Not the most friendly service but it was a busy weekend morning.

I’ve been to this shop multiple times while staying or passing through Asheville and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is on point, the baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee is top quality. As a barista and coffee lover myself, I cannot recommend Rowan enough!

Super quaint academia styled coffee house with delicious espresso and a unique coffee vibe. A perfect place for the more ‘pretentious’ types of coffee lovers who feel no coffee shop is as good as their excessive 15 step espresso puck prep process in their own home.

I highly recommend this place for their delicious specialty espresso and pastries. A little bit out of the way from the center of downtown, but definitely worth the trek to check out and enjoy their coffee, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Rowan Coffee is absolutely incredible! What an amazing coffee shop right in the heart of Asheville! I would not be surprised if this is one of the best coffee shops in all of North Carolina. I obviously haven’t visited every one in the state, but you’ll feel like it is after you visit! They have incredible pastries and their coffee drinks are so unique and sophisticated! Would you like espresso, ginger, lime juice, and more all in one drink? Literally a coffee that tastes like a cocktail?! This place is it! And don’t be weirded out by the more unique coffee options - they taste so good. You’ll be surprised how well the flavors work together. The baristas really know what they’re doing! BE SURE to try their blueberry focaccia bread if they have it as well. You’ll be blown away. I just love this place so much and can’t wait to go back!!!

Delicious croissant (crunchy, flaky and buttery on the outside and big airy holes with perfectly balanced butter inside). The quiche is also a great option with its fluffy texture and soft flavors. The cappuccino had a classic flavor. Quick and friendly service - ordered takeout.

Will come back again for more croissants and to try other coffee types.

Dog friendly (inside for well behaved dogs).

Went in for some coffee to go and got the special rose drink. It was so good and the staff were very friendly. Beautiful place.

Very cool and cozy atmosphere. I recommend grabbing a cortado and pastry for a quick snack.

Nice downtown coffeehouse that was open on the weekend. Beautiful interior, marble tabletops and walnut paneling. Baristas were very knowledgeable and service was great even though it was about to close. Will definitely be back to try all of the coffee.

I had a very lovely coffee break in Asheville at Rowan Coffee. I chose a latte with homemade brown sugar syrup and steamed oat milk. It came beautifully prepared and was perfectly balanced in flavor.

The coffee shop is very laid back with various types of seating. I was able to enjoy my coffee and pastry without feeling rushed or overcrowded. The patrons were all very respectful and chill. Overall it was a lovely experience!

after visiting almost every coffee shop in the asheville area, ive decided this is the best one. for a couple reasons, but top of the list is quality and creativity. their latte combos are great and even their standard flavors are really nice. friendly service, and a really cool, relaxed but fun environment inside. highly trained baristas and top notch coffee.

The best coffee shop in Asheville! Consistently smooth lattes - I always go for the seasonal latte of the month! And the moody interior is just the best vibe. I love working from here during the day!

Went to Rowan at the suggestion of a friend and I'm so glad I did. The espresso and syrups were smooth. The food was surprisingly decent for a coffee shop (I ordered a scone and a quiche). The decor and presentation were excellent. And to top all of that off the staff was super sweet.

Hands down the best coffee in Asheville. You can always guarantee everything to be dialed in well. Incredible atmosphere, a cozy dark academia vibe, cool music, stellar attention to detail, kind staff and in a really convenient part of town. This is always my #1 spot to go to when in Asheville.

So happy I finally got to check this coffee shop out. I drive by a lot but parking isn’t always available. I lucked out when someone was pulling out of a meter across the street and left 10 min on it- perfect amount of time to grab some to go. Side note: the coffee shop is located right next to a pay lot so there is usually parking available.

I got the sweetie pie latte, it was on their seasonal menu and it came with a vegan toasted marshmallow- soooo yummy! The baristas are really friendly and make delicious drinks ☕ I also got a vegan pumpkin poptart- I’m so glad they are vegan friendly!

Inside is GORGEOUS 😍 very comfy and plenty of seating. I love the atmosphere and would definitely bring friends here to catch up or come to work for a little bit if I wanted to get out the house. I loved the floating candles (scratched out the patrons face for privacy) the decor is absolutely fabulous and adds to the awesome vibe- great coffee shop!

Really beautiful shop with excellent coffee. The coffee is delicious, especially the espresso tonic. The staff is friendly as well. Parking was a little scarce for us, but we did go on a weekend. I assume it’s not as bad on a weekday.

A great coffee shop if you’re in the Asheville area! The staff was friendly and the coffee delish. I got a cortado which is a classic milk espresso beverage and was delicious! I will definitely return when I’m able.
