Just a shout out to Dr. Kyle McKinney for taking such great care of me today! We've done social media photos for Oakwood Dental Arts month after month, and we've seen first hand how great they are to their patients. I had to have a couple of fillings today and I gotta tell you guys... I didn't feel the novocaine needle at ALL. Not in the slightest. Was pretty incredible, all the other times at other places I've usually felt at least a little pinch, but it was completely painless and I was able to even laugh about stuff without any drugs or laughing gas. The whole thing was a breeze.

Dr. McKinney is so good about letting you know what's going on, what's next, and he, and his assistants are constantly checking to make sure you're doing okay. 👍

Personable and very experienced staff. Dr. McKinney is awesome, he is patient oriented, provides excellent/expedient and comprehensive care. Observing his interaction with his staff, I thought it made for a very pleasant atmosphere. I had broken a tooth in half earlier this week. He was able to save the existing tooth by placing a permanent crown the very same day! I did not feel him inject the Novocain and I heard the sound of drilling but really did not feel much of anything, absolutely no pain or discomfort at all. All of his staff are wonderful! As an aside, I also received one dental implant last year and will be finishing a second implant this next week, so I know this experience to be the rule and not the exception. Best Dentist, best staff ever…

I have just completed my course of Invisalign and I have to say it was a great decision to have Dr. McKinney handle process. He worked with the aligners until he had the best results for my teeth. I decided to have a little bonding done to alter the shape of my teeth and you absolutely cannot tell the difference between natural tooth enamel and the bonding. Dr. McKinney is a true artist! Dr. McKinney is the best. Great staff and friendly people. Dr. McKinney is gentle, caring and does excellent work. He is focused on staying at the top of his field by learning new techniques and technologies and it shows in the experience that you receive as a patient. No one likes going to the dentist but my experiences with Dr. McKinney have helped alleviate my fear and anxiety and he has 100% earned my trust. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone.

Dr. McKinney and his staff are the best. For the first time in my adult life I am not afraid to go to the dentist. Dr. McKinney is so gentle and caring, he wants you to be happy with your smile and will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Going to my previous dental hygienist was so painful, but Sheila is gentle, sweet and funny! Making the 1 ½ hour drive to Hickory is so worth it. Oakwood Dental Arts is the best!

Have been attending Oakwood Dental for 35 years. Dr. McKinney is the third dentist I have been treated by at Oakwood. Always satisfied and well pleased with the staff, dentist, service, and outcome. Feel fortunate and truly blessed to have experienced this high level of professionalism and skill. Personable, extremely competent, modern and clean. Personally I would never go anywhere else by choice.

I absolutely think this is the best dental office in Hickory North Carolina. I have been a patient with Dr McKinney since he came to this practice he and his staff are excellent. I have had crowns dental implant and fillings all with great success. I have been a patient there for many years ,Wendy is my dental hygienist and she is the best. I would highly recommend this practice for everyone.

Great dental office! I haven't been back to the dentist in many years because of horrible past experiences but I am so glad I finally went and came here. The staff is great and genuinely care about all of the patients. Dr. McKinney is exceptional, he was very professional, took his time, explained the procedure so I knew what was going on, minimal pain after a root canal and my teeth look great. Highly recommend!

Dr. McKinney was absolutely wonderful with easing my fears today! I had to have a wisdom tooth removed and I was extremely nervous. Not only did I not feel a thing at all, he reassured me constantly through the entire procedure which helped me tremendously. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here especially if you have had prior bad experiences with dentists! Thank you so much for taking great care of me!

Dr McKinnley is so personable and friendly. Knowledgeable about new techniques. Didn't have any pain or trouble with my tooth implant. Would highly recommend this office. The staff is also very friendly.

The staff at Oakwood Dental are very professional and care about my dental health. When a need arises beyond twice-yearly cleaning, they are so helpful and are willing to see me as soon as possible. Dr. Mckinney is very knowledgeable and empathetic. This group is phenomenal.

He takes time to listen to any concerns that I have and make recommendations on a treatment plan, if needed. Sandy has been my hygienist for years. Great with kids!

My 4 year old son had his first dental cleaning this afternoon. Dr. McKinney and his staff were amazing from start to finish. They made his experience silly and fun yet thorough. He’s so excited to use his timer for brushing his teeth and plans to get all the sugar bugs every day!

The staff and services at Oakwood Dental Arts are all supreme. The staff is very welcoming and work quickly to get you in and see the Dentist. The dentist is very friendly and goes right to work and gets you in and out with a very professional job. Thanks Oakwood for another visit WELL DONE.

I couldn’t be more pleased than having Dr. McKinney as my dentist . He is very kind and very professional and he is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. He is absolutely the best dentist and his staff is wonderful ! Dr.McKinney and his staff make a great team!

Dr Mckinney is s I gentle.he truly cates about his patients. The staff is also gentle and nice.they run on time most of the time. If there is a delay it is short and they explain it to you.

He is going and up to date on current issues and solutions.

I highly recommend him.

Dr. McKinney and assistants were so good and had a gentle touch for an long involved procedure. I appreciated that he listened to my concerns and addressed them to make the procedure as painless as possible. They did a great job!

I have had the same dental hygienist for quite a few years and she is excellent and personable. Each of the prior dentists were excellent the newest is too. He uses state of the art processes on crowns where they are fitted in a single sitting instead of having to come back to have temporary crown replaced.
