Great hardware store at a super convenient location. They cut keys and they cut glass, which means that you can immediately take care of some issues that are hard to solve at the big box stores. They have a good selection and they have a friendly and helpful staff.

Some of the highlights are the aforementioned key cutting and more importantly, glass cutting (which saves a trip to the glass shop if you break a single-pane window), along with the fact that they are a Stihl dealer with a pretty adequate selection for most homeowners.

It's a nice hardware store to go in to.
Plenty of staff and they all very friendly and helpful.
I also fill my propane tank there and I like that they have a punch card so get 5 and then one free,
I would also recommend getting on their mailing list, which comes with a discount card and the mailer usually has good coupons in em.

Super friendly and helpful staff. I've always had a good experience with them. The staff go out of their way to find what I'm looking for and look for backstock if it's not on the floor. I get a lot of bags of soil so it's nice to have somebody load it up for me.

I miss the days of having a hardware store on every corner. Maddens harkens back to those days. They have a lot of things the big box stores don't. You can but just one of an item instead of having to buy a whole bag of parts. They offer services like cutting glass and screen. The best part though, is the personal service. Within one minute of entering the store someone always asks if they can help me. They are the epitome of service with a smile. Sometimes, the old ways are the best!

There is always someone available to help you if you need it and most of the time you don't even have to find someone to ask them for help!! They are always walking around and asking you if you need any help.
They are very polite and courteous and they also sell a very wide range of things here! From tools to clothes. It's an awesome store! They are a bit more expensive than other hardware stores, just from the few items I have looked at but you know the saying, "You get what you pay for!”

All the employees here are very helpful, and courteous. They have a decent stock of items, and they play some great music, too!

Went in to get a gorilla cart yesterday and they had just sold their last one. Morgan made sure to look very thoroughly in the back and was even able to tell me exactly when the last one was sold (the online store showed there was one in stock.) The store seemed understaffed at the time and they were very busy, but Morgan took the time to help and even called neighboring stores to find me one. Very helpful.

The purpose of my visit was to check prices of Stihl weed eaters. I was greeted with a smile by the floor clerk (whose name I forget to note). He politely asked if I needed any help. To which I replied, " No, not just yet, thank you. I will let you know as I pointed to the rack full of Stihl weed eaters. He smiled and turned to go about other task. It wasn't but a few minutes later, he was back and near by talking about work task with fellow employees. I motioned to him that"I was ready for his help." I needed to see a weed eater that was lock up. But wanted to be able to hold and feel the weight and function of it. He happily helped me. I was impressed with the price and that it was well suited for my use. We talked about the weed eater as also did another customer. The three of us comparing notes, if you will.
Once I told the clerk, yes I want to purchase this Stihl. He offered a case of Stihl oil. But I interected with " no thank you I have oil at home". "well the reason I suggest it is this, your warranty will be doubled from 2 years to 4 years.

No pressure ...ust a nice offer.
I was happy to buy the whole deal. Then he made sure the weed eater had fuel, that it started and that I was statisfied with the purchase. This is good hometown service and is missed in the Big Box stores. Keep up the good work Madden's Ace Hardware. I'll be sending folks your way.

They have everything!!! It's like Tractor supply but better!!! You can shop for Christmas there!!!

My favorite place to pick up hardware. I live in West Asheville so it's super convenient. They always have what I'm looking for. And they carry lots of local products, including my favorite yerba mate, infuition

Prices are high, but man are they helpful! Good selection too.

Nice store!!! We only went in to have a key made so I'll give more details next time we visit. I can say that the store was neat and orderly with lots of treasures to be found. Staff was very friendly.

All I needed was some keys cut, but I was greeted immediately, directed to the correct place, and served promptly, patiently and respectfully. So nice! I'm never using a box hardware store again if I can avoid it!
