Duke's Restaurant and Wine Bar

We went in last night for a last minute date night. We ended up sitting at the bar. Josh was amazing! Even though they were super busy, he handled it with ease. Our drinks never went empty. We also had the Swordfish that was on special. It was awesome!

The food was amazing, the crab artichoke dip is a must have. It is some of best I have had so far. The pan seared scallops, tomahawk ribeye and shrimp is really delicious and mouth watering. We definitely will come back here the next time we are in town. You can not go wrong with this place!!!

Great food, and the atmosphere is pretty neat too. Was slow the night we went and the bartender waited on us, the drinks were great and the service he gave us was outstanding. Enjoyed every minute of the night. Recommended the beef filet and the seafood plate with noodles. Everything was top notch.

Recently made our first visit to Dukes! It was a Tuesday night, and there was a good crowd with larger tables and a few smaller groups. The food and the service was outstanding. My wife had the beef tenderloin dinner, and I had the Bison and oyster dinner special. It was a great dinner and very high-quality. They also have a great wine list. We would highly recommend this establishment.

Duke's Restaurant and Wine Bar gets five stars all the way around. The live music perfectly complemented the decor and the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly helpful and informative. And the food!! OMG was heavenly. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the Angus beef tenderloin, it was so tender it basically melted in my mouth. It was a great way to finish off my Birthday. Definitely looking forward to my next visit

Someone that's only lived here a couple months and have lived in Florida for many many years which has a lot of really good restaurants. I'm pleasantly pleased with dukes food for the few times we've been. There has been great! And they have a small and large portion sizes on the menu which I like. Overall. I think it's it. Really really good restaurant and I would highly recommend it

Came here for my birthday tonight with my friends and family, everybody was so stuffed and we all left with doggy bags. Everyone was ranting and raving about the food. My brother said it was the best food he’s had since he’s moved from New York and he’s been here for over a year. Service was great atmosphere was awesome. We all will be back!

Ok, I am always forthcoming and candid in my reviews. Tonight I had the pleasure of going to Dukes Restaurant and Wine Bar. I also had the pleasure of meeting Brandon. He set up my fiance and future mother-in-law to the T with our tasting. Dukes does not get the credit it deserves. During the week, most of Hickory's diners and patrons go to restaurants off of 70. Please don't allow Dukes to fall by the wayside. Not only is the food delicious the service is supreme. Take the time, when you go out to eat, to choose Duke's. The prices are very affordable for very delicious food. The dishes in the pictures. London Broil, Chicken Piccata, Chicken Supreme, braised red cabbage, tiny French green beans, red potatoes, carrots and mashed potatoes. All are seasoned well, nothing is bland. The atmosphere is nice, family friendly and you have a genuine great time.

Every course was excellent. The kale salad was delicious. I had the halibut and scallops and my wife had the beef tenderloin. We finished with Oreo cheesecake! Very relaxed atmosphere. Emory was very knowledgeable, helpful, and did not rush us at all. Can’t wait to go back!

I am a member of HBISG - Hickory Brain Injury Support Group. Usually, we have Christmas Dinner at a cheap buffet place (i.e. Golden Coral, Chinese, cheapest place available) however this year thanks to donations we received we were able to go have an actual NICE DINNER and after calling discussing our preferences and available funds with SEVERAL places we chose Dukes and are THRILLED with our decision. First of all the private room(s) we were given had an area we could set up all the gifts for our Dirty Santa Game, an area for our HUGE buffet of INCREDIBLE food - which was rearranged to include scrumptious, desserts later, a very comfortable area for 30+ dining which was handled PERFECTLY by our waitress BROOKE. Everyone was THRILLED with the environment, food, wait staff, privacy, TIME - we were never rushed allowed to stay as long as we wanted until the last gift - lol. Who knew this little town of Hickory offered such fine dining - PERFECTION

Beautiful old building with exposed brick, old wood floors and exposed beams and rafters. The food is amazing! Great experience for my wife's birthday dinner.

First time eating there and the food was great. Our waitress was funny/amazing. She has a pretty cool nickname too

Great upscale restaurant with a fantastic ambiance! The food and wine are excellent! On the weekends there is a singer/piano player who is talented and very friendly. I highly recommend!

Found this little hidden gem while googling for a new restaurant in the area. We visited on a Saturday night and didn’t have to wait to be seated. Food was great, everyone loved what they got. My seared tuna was awesome. The live piano playing was a nice compliment/distraction since we had to wait over an hour for our food. Was told that kitchen was backed up. It was okay this time around since we had nowhere to be, the atmosphere was nice and food ended up being good (and everyone else seemed to be waiting too). Not sure I’d like to wait that long again though.

The food and drinks were awesome! My wife loved the pumpkin lobster bisque, and the Chicken Matta was amazing. We will be visiting again soon.

Absolutely amazing, but come wearing your stretchy pants. So much food for the money, and doesn't break the bank! Great, fun staff. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff - every dish is on-point!

The atmosphere was great, musicians playing, due the how busy they were we sat inside. It was pleasant and staff was awesome. Our waitress Taylor was prompt attentive and funny. The food was excellent and the hummus appetizer was possible the best we every ate. The chicken and short ribs meal was likewise delicious, but the pairing with the kimchee brought out the teriyaki favor... not to mention standing alone as some of the best I have had even better then all I ate in Koreo.
If its busy it's worth waiting... a must visit if you are in Kauai. Enjoy.

Our server, Kelsey, was so nice and very efficient. The food was delicious. The restaurant is decorated nicely for the holidays. It was an enjoyable evening.
