Olde Hickory Tap Room

This is a classic pub. They are one of the few choices in town that actually serves food after 8pm. I highly recommend this place for the beers, and the food. The fish & chips are always amazing and so are the tenders. They are a great representation of what Hickory has to offer. And they aren’t the big chain with the similar name.. love this place! The best part is taking a drink-to-go and walking around

Stopped in for lunch for the first time. Ordered the hickory sticks stout beer and the Reuben sandwich with pub chips and ranch. Beer was good, sandwich was great! The portions on the sandwich were perfect to the point you could taste every flavor of every ingredient! Koodos to the cooks. Our server( Olivia) was very polite and very attentive to us. We WILL be back. Thanks guys!

Great place for food and drinks! Laid back but accurate and friendly service. Damn tasty food in a lively environment! Definitely worth a stop when close to Hickory!

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years now because it continues to be one of my favorite places to eat and/or drink a beer in Hickory.

I mainly like to sit at the bar, drink a beer or two and get lunch. I like the blue burger, chicken sandwich or Rueben with pub chips for the side.

Service is quick and the bartender keep the drinks coming and your water full.

The location is awesome and with Hickory now having a social district you can get a drink to go and walk around to other places or find somewhere to sit outside.

I’ve never been too crazy about the Olde Hickory Brewery beers but they have gotten better over the years in my opinion and they have enough options and styles that you can find one you like. We got the blueberry sour last time and it was really good. I do wish they had a bigger selection of guest taps though.

My main complaint is the size of the bathroom stall in the men’s bathroom. I’m 5’10” and the door to the stall hits my knees when it’s closed. Taller people would have to sit with the door open. Besides that, it’s an awesome place and I will continue to come here when I’m in Hickory.

Nice place in downtown hickory. Good selection of beer both local and international. Mixed drinks with a full bar. Typical bar food. Got basic pub burger and carrots. All good and filling.

Tap Room has not only an awesome location but the service was very prompt and friendly, the spinach dip was fabulous and the atmosphere had a very friendly vibe!

I stopped in here a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday, while in the area apartment hunting. Hickory definitely got the main street revival right. The tap room itself was a nice spot. I sat at a booth table inside for an early lunch. I didn't partake in any adult beverages, unfortunately, due to the drive home. But the iced tea and 'The Big Cheese' burger were on point. The burger flavor reminded me of a place back home when I was growing up. Just a little char taste, cooked just right. Good basic burger that I didn't feel like I was being over-charged for. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. When back in the area, I'll definitely be sampling the real beverages. Parking was fairly easy as well, and free for 2-3 hrs, unless I missed any pay signage.

The food was great and the service was amazing! I ordered chicken wings and they were really good. My waitress did an amazing job checking in on me. I will make a point to stop here and eat the next time I am riding through!

Had lunch there on Tuesday 3/5/24 and it was GREAT!!!! Frances (our waitress) was so cool and had such a great personality. Food was awesome, we both had the Fish & Chips and the pub chips as an appetizer. We’ll definitely be back and asking for her section!

Excellent spot in downtown Hickory. I really enjoy eating lunch here when I am in the Hickory area. Excellent salads and sandwiches. The beer selection is good too. I live in Charlotte. So, I pass on the beer, but it is great lunch spot with or without an adult beverage.

The food here is always cooked very well and the staff is always very nice and attentive. My favorite entree to get is honestly the Bleuburger, and dip my fries in the excess Blue Cheese sauce :). Pub chips are a good choice as well; they're nice and crispy. The Fried Cheesecake is very nice; not too sweet, and the shell is just the right amount of crunchy.

I've never had to wait too long for a table, even on weekends or busy holidays. The atmosphere is very lively, but in a good way. They've got a good selection on tap, with some options that stay consistent and others that rotate in. That being said there’s always something for me to enjoy.

Delicious food and spectacular service! The tomato basil salmon is so good! As well as the beer cheese!! Absolutely love coming here!

Great service at the bar today with Lydia! Ruben tasted great as usual. Got the corned beef special to bring home for dinner, also great.

Beer is good as always. Cheers! Fish and chips better than usual. Crab cakes on salads could have been hotter.

Go for the fish and chips. We had some friends in town from London and on the recommendation of some locals, I took them for dinner here. We all had the fish and chips, and it was great. We've eaten here several times and it has always been great. Service is as well and it's a really cool place. So what's not to like

If you are seeking a comfortable spot where "everyone knows your name" (over time), remembers what you like and greets you like a close friend, then you will definitely love this spot.

The food is all fresh and delicious. If you leave hungry, you are reason for your result.

Be aware: nothing is small! Try the crab cakes, the spinach artichoke dip, the Hot Ham and Cheese, ....Wait, just try everything--- not all at once.

Great atmosphere, approachable and friendly people, and excellent food and drink = a perfect pub.

This was my first time here and I was very pleased the food was awesome and the staff was very nice to so if you haven't tried them yet go and take the family or a special someone you will not be disappointed and if you like to have a drink they have a lot to choose from so go and check them out

This place is really good. Nice beer selection. The food menu is exciting! Really good service. It’s very nice inside, old school. I highly recommend this place for sure. Can’t wait to go back.
