Great exhibit with interactive displays exploring the history of electronic music and Moogs role within it. Great staff. Wish they had more space. And, wish they had more seating for seniors and disabled folks to rest while waiting for people to move along the narrow circular route.

The Moogseum proved to be a delightful destination for both musical history enthusiasts and electronic music lovers. The exhibit on playing the theremin was a personal highlight; it's surprisingly challenging! The staff member at the front counter was exceptionally friendly and shared fascinating insights into Moog lore. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that touring musicians playing in Asheville can enjoy free entry to the museum. I highly recommend exploring this hidden gem of a museum.

As a guitarist/vocalist, and the ripe old age of 64, I remember when the "synth" came around and Moog was the only game in town. Keith Emerson and ELP's music have always been one of my favorite groups. I understand complicated musical equipment, I don't understand how to "build" such a device.

Our son caught this and we were off. We thoroughly enjoyed the concept of electricity to sound and having the opportunity to "use" some of the older models and the metamorphous of the synth in older music to current music. Great presentation and well worth the price of admission. Another great place to visit while in Asheville. If you like music, especially keyboards, and the contribution to music, you must visit this site!

A music nerd’s paradise! 😂 The place isn’t big but it’s an interesting self guided tour that was very educational and hands on. I could see it being a little frustrating if it’s too busy as you have to wait for people ahead of you to be done in order to try out the hands on things.

Great museum honoring the work of Bob Moog. If you love Bob’s legacy this is the place for you. It’s fairly short but still very interesting.

Such a fantastic museum to soak up all info Bob Moog and synthesizer related. This is a super interactive museum, lots of music to listen to, videos to watch and musical devices to play with. There are theremins there you can play as well as an actual Moog synth!

The person working the museum was very friendly and helped us even get our "selfie" with Bob Moog. We also got a sweet shirt and a couple of stickers. Also, admission is very cheap, definitely a must go to place if you are interested in electronic music!

I think one of the reviewers, Brian Anderson, went to the wrong place. This place was awesome. So much information. My wife and son both enjoyed it immensely. Good thing I brought them otherwise I would have stayed the whole day. Yes it is small but packet with tons of stuff...Kinda like a MiniMoog Model D. One of the best interactive museums I have ever been to.

Great to learn about the origins of the incredble electronic sounds we've become so familiar with.

Amazing timelines of Bob's life and the history of synthesis with touch screen kiosks with tons of archival material. There is a fascinating immersive dome that explains how electricity turns into sound. Chance to play a theremin and synthesizer and learn how they both work. There is a display of Bob's workbench and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have a delightful gift store will all kinds of Moog-inspired items. They limit photos and video which is understandable to keep the wonderful surprise of this delightful place.

What a wonderful place to learn and play. A bit small of a space but a once in a lifetime experience. I recommend pairing with with a trip to the Moog store a few blocks away.

The museum costed me a little over 10 dollars. The content was really good and the design was fun to look at. You could spend a couple hours scrolling through the modules so be warned. I only paid for an hour of parking and ended up rushing through. People will spend a good amount of time at the stations. There were multiple leaning stations, a theremin, a educational patch synth that teaches you how to patch and an educational mini moog station. Lastly you can look upon a model of Mr. Moog’s workstations. There are lots of souvenirs and the staff was very friendly.

A small space packed with facts, interest and hands on experience. It is set up to allow complete immersion in each exhibit and the ability to return back to any that you want to spend more time with. A must for anyone with an interest in music and sound synthesis!

Small but perfectly formed. An interesting journey through the man and his products that were a defining part of modern music.

A friend had told me about this little Moogseum (love the name) so I had to check it out!
It has something for everyone, interactive, educational, and the personal history. We had a ton of fun and the employees were helpful and engaging too.
It’s a little cramped and I wish we were allowed to take photos, but even so, my parents, my kids and I all enjoyed our time there especially trying to master the Theremin lol

Really cool, albeit small, museum. I've always been curious to try a theremin and had no idea how it played into the modern synthesizer and such. The staff is also clearly very knowledgeable and appreciate the contributions Moog made.

A unique little gem of a learning experience. The hands-on theremin and synthesizers are sure to inspire creativity! Lots of fun merch is available on the way out.

A highly informative and interactive museum. A great place to go if you or your family have interest in music or synthesizers.

Appreciated the hands-on modular exhibit, the interactive visualization and the final exhibit with a modern moog. The theremins were neat - made me appreciate anyone who can play one.

Highly recommended exhibit for anyone interested in electronic music with a fascinating story about the birth of the modern-day playable synthesizer.
