Locally owned and operated, independent shoe store. I’ve been shopping at Tops for over 20 years. They have a great selection of children’s shoes and a men’s department. I stopped in for a pair of sandals and walked out with 4!! Seriously irresistible and comfortable sandals. The staff warm and friendly and attentive to my needs. I LOVE Tops!!!

The store is deceptively large taking up a block in downtown Asheville. There were some great sales going on. I found the sandals I had been looking at online, in the size and color I wanted to try - and they were discounted over the online prices. Great customer service, friendly, helpful staff. My husband even found some new sneakers on sale too!

I have shopped at Tops always. I have even had them mail me shoes when I liked a particular style for work. I highly recommend Tops because they have something for everyone. Childrens Department is awesome plus any style you want they have or possibly get for you. Love this store.

This store has an INCREDIBLE selection! It's HUGE! I am hard to fit, and Kim was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, listened to me explain my foot issues, and found several great options for me to try on. I went home with 2 pairs and am considering ordering 1 to be shipped home to me.

I’ve been shopping at Tops for years, and have always had wonderful experiences! Most recently, I called to check their inventory on a certain sandal and Dean went above and beyond for me. When I told him I’d be by in about 20 minutes he said he’d leave them up front for me with my name on them. Great customer service, incredible knowledge of shoes, and true shoe salesmen that you no longer get in most stores anymore!

I had an excellent experience, they had the Birkenstocks available and they were exactly what I am looking for. It’s such breath of fresh air to talk to people who care about the customer experience! Thank you!

Best shoe store around!! Top brands, wide variety, men’s women’s, children’s, dress to casual. BUT the real reason this is the best show store around is the staff. Knowledgeable, friendly, attentive. They go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for….

I loved reading one star reviews. After I’ve experience the place my self. First of all over whelming 3 floors. I had to stop my self at 2 pairs of boots I’m from south Florida. My h husband also got to walking shoes. Both m men and woman side great customers service place was packed. Everyone was so friendly

Beat Shoe Store Ever. I have extremely difficult feet to find shoes that fit and are comfortable. Tops never disappoints. Their selection is the best and Autumn was willing to keep going back for more shoes over and over again all with a smile and we’re gonna find your shoe attitude.

Great store and absolutely fantastic staff. Stopped in to pick out some shoes for my little ones and Amanda was amazing! She spent over an hour with us and really connected with the kids to help us find the perfect shoes for them. We are from out of town but would come back to Asheville just to shoe shop at this store!

My wife and I stopped in this morning because my wife needed a pair of…well…shoes! Not only does this place have an amazing selection, the staff is incredible! We were lucky enough to have Denise helping us. My wife had a dry throat and when Denise saw her having a slight cough, she grabbed her a bottle of water as she was grabbing my wife’s shoes to try on. I mean…c’mon…that’s GREAT customer service. You want to compete with Amazon? Hire people like Denise and pay them what they’re worth! Great store! Great people! Thank you!!!

We visited for athletic sneakers, everyone was so helpful and the selection was huge. I have had multiple leg surgeries and my physical trainer recommended that I visit a running store. Larry spent so much time with us. He’s been doing this for over 40 years. Highly recommend
