Dr. Brame and the entire team at Carolina Urology Partners and the entire team across the street at the hospital that helps with the procedures are great.

Dr. Brame evaluated my condition, decided on the right procedure, and got me scheduled for the best timely next step. He answered all of my questions in detail, especially why “this procedure” at “this time” was the best answer.

The hospital team was unbelievable. Given that none of us are looking forward to any of these kinds of procedures, every (!) person of the half dozen involved at the hospital were great. They were highly competent. They took the time to answer my several questions. They treated me like a “real person” and made sure that all of the medical and non-medical activities were as good for me as they could be.

I could not be more thrilled with every person involved.

Update: I NEVER call my doctors at night or on the weekend. At 4AM on a weekend I really needed to talk to my doctor. I called the number, within 5 minutes I was talking to Dr. Blakeley (the weekend on call Doctor), and he was able to quickly explain what was going on and provide me some good options for getting some relief. This entire team is amazing.

I love the Dr's and staff. Everyone is very caring and nice. Almost always gets me in as soon as possible if needed. Very knowledgeable in PKD and actually listen to what's wrong and how I'm feeling and comes up with a solution instead of saying " kidneys don't hurt", as I have heard from other medical professionals that aren't as informed on the disease. Thank you and I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone. I drive 30 mins one way and I would go further as long as I get to keep coming to this urologist.

Dr Blackley was fantastic and very professional. He spent plenty of time discussing my condition and plan going forward. He was very pleasant and nice and addressed all my concerns. I highly recommend Dr Blackley

Very good at getting you back , at appointed time, Ladies are very nice and helpful, Susan is the best, she is so helpful and knowledgeable, that's comforting especially when you're already going through enough and really can't think of everything.

My husband had a routine vasectomy performed by Dr. Brame. After the procedure, he has had complications for over a week, and they are continuing (for apparently 4-6 weeks). We have revisited the office twice since the procedure. Dr. Blackley was helpful in prescribing an antibiotic and pain medicine. After seeing Dr. Brame again, the prescription was mysteriously cancelled (we found out when we went to the pharmacy to pick it up 2 days later). Dr. Brame's words when examining my husband were "Wow, I sure got ahold of you didn't I?" When asking what the painful knots were that my husband is experiencing he said "What did you think it was?" He said "I can't wave my magic wand and fix it." My husband has been in excruciating pain for over a week, is unable to work, or help with our kids. I absolutely DO NOT recommend seeing him. I am giving 2 stars because Dr. Blackley was very responsive to our call over the weekend, and very helpful at the appt. we had with him.

My husband and I have seen Dr Brame for several years. He has performed surgery/procedures on both of us. My husband has a high deductible on his health ins. Dr Brame did an in office elective procedure on my husband and no one told him what his costs would be. Then they sold him a bottle of 50 pills for $50. When my husband needed more, I told him to go to their office and get a new prescription, not buy from them.. I had researched the cost. With insurance it would have been $10, and with Good Rx $7.35. They did not give the option of writing the Rx or send it to the pharmacy, they sold him another bottle for $50. If I had been with him, I would have demanded a Rx and wouldnt have bought it from them. Even though the bottle was sealed, and my husband had just walked put of their office, they wouldn't take it back
This is not right. It is taking advantage of patients that dont argue. I told Dr Brames nurse they were making a big proift from the meds and that is the only reason they doing it and that practice isnt fair to patients. I have also contacted NC Medical board.

Dr. Blackley was unpersonable & rushed through both appointments I had with him. He was in the room maybe 5 minutes. Never did an exam or put a hand on me. He would not listen to me describe anything or give details about my problems...and I'm a nurse! The staff was great, especially Jennifer RT(R). He also found a problem in a test he ordered, but wasn't willing to look into it. As I left, he said "you're fine for now." No answers, just prescriptions, to hopefully shut me up, and sent me on my way. Pharmaceutical corruption at its finest!

Was waiting in the room for 40 minutes before dr blackley showed up and we were early. Boyfriend had an appt and Came for something that should’ve been urgent to take care of as everything online says to go to the hospital when said issue happens. Literally told us the issue was so uncommon that only crack cocaine addicts could have it and that as long as the man can cum he’s fine! Took a urine sample and said absolutely nothing about that. And my boyfriend is an early 20s man coming in for an issue that could cause serious problems as he ages. He did no type of exams and rushed us out of the room. Didn’t suggest a blood test. He had no type of recommendations or next steps, and didn’t even want to have us make another appointment for a follow up and just suggested taking a cold/flu medicine. One of the worst doctors I have ever been to and a really disappointing experience as we were hoping for some answers. Now we get to spend more money on a different place that hopefully cares about actual health issues and not just our money!! However all the ladies working were very nice!!

Don’t be late…I am new the area, there was no address on the reminder, took time off work, took 25 minutes to get to the office (yes this is my mistake) but I had no idea where I was going. I showed up 10 minutes late and was told I need to reschedule they have a “zero tolerance policy.” As someone that works in the medical field this is horrible customer service. Also called Monday and was in awful pain after an emergency procedure Saturday was called in pain meds and never notified until my primary care mentioned them at my visit 5 days later.

Where to begin... Thursday I get a call from Brianna or whatever her name is telling me that she had to change my 8:30am appointment today (Monday) to 9:45am because the 1st doctor she assigned me to didnt take my insurance. I was told to come early as they may be able to squeeze me in a lil earlier since I was driving an hour to get there an needed to be sure I could be back home to be on my job at noon... so today I get there a few mins after 8. Was told be there by 830... walk in tell receptionist who I am... she proceeded to tell me I can't be seen because they don't take my insurance. Mind you my insurance info was given when the appointment was made almost 2weeks ago... the lady was rude and pretty much was just like well its 300 almost 400 to be seen with a look on her face like she knew I couldn't afford it because I'm on medicaide. No sorry. I'm surprised she let me use the restroom. I've been dealing with kidney stone pain over a MONTH NOW. My caseworker contacted them before I called and she was even told they took my form of insurance. Then today I get a lovely NO... ended up going to the ER again because the pains so bad. THANKS FOR NO HELP OR EVEN A BIT OF COMPASSION AFTER YOUR OWN STAFF MADE SUCH A MISTAKE!!!

Absolutely horrible!!!! Dr would not listen to me basically told me I was faking it and making it all up. Sent me out the door with prescriptions and told me I was fine. He never ran a test or even did an exam. I’ll never return to them!

Dr. Gossett was very rude and unprofessional. Told my fiancé he was faking it, that he was a wuss and that there was nothing he could do. I can’t believe he still has a job with the way he speaks to people. Using profanity through the entire appointment and was absolutely no help at all.
