My cousin recommended Don Fuller to me after she researched tons of Estate Attorneys here in Charlotte with stellar knowledge. Although I lived almost an hour and half from his office I made the trip to Hickory to meet him, Mr. Fuller immediately impressed me with his politeness and outstanding knowledge in his field. He was extremely attentive to my estate needs, my questions and my time. He is a real gentleman who is thought-provoking and helped me immensely with all of my estate questions and concerns. I might add that his wife, Sue, was very nice to me, as well, and both of them made me feel at ease. If you are looking for an exceptional Estate Attorney notches above the others, I highly recommend given Mr. Fuller a call. You will not be sorry. Needing to travel 2,600 miles to help with the estate of a friend-dealing with the grief also I was planning on a rough week. How does one find the right attorney for the challenge. Because of the positive reviews on his website he was first to be interviewed. Words like old school, truthful, approachable caught my attention. After meeting Don and leaving his office ,I felt a confidence and peace knowing he was the right choice to help me navigate this challenge. I left his office equipped with correct documents, and a game plan that would lead to a very successful week. Recently upon the death of my wife, I had the need of a Will and Estates attorney in the Hickory, NC area. I compiled a list of about seven names and phone numbers and I began to call. Of the seven numbers, I got voice mail on six of them and one who answered. The one who answered was the office of Donald R. Fuller, Jr. How very fortunate I was. A meeting was setup two days later. When I met with Mr. Fuller I was impressed from the very beginning. First, he was empathetic about the loss that I had just suffered and came across very genuine. Second, he explained things very clearly and not in a condescending fashion as I had seen in some lawyers over my seventy-three years. In two hours I left his office with four instruments: will, power of attorney, health care power of attorney and advance directive. All of which for a reasonable fee. I highly recommend Mr. Fuller for your estate needs.

Highest recommendation. One of the last old school attorney lions of a previous generation. The kind that will spend an hour with you on the phone because he and Sue care about you and they'll worry about the bill later. Lovely man and great attorney. Highly respected to the point that you mention you spoke with him and the folks at the courthouse in Newton know you're serious and they can go forward. Wish more attorneys were like him.

I called attorney D. Fuller for a consultation because I have retained an attorney for my father's estate after his passing in 2-2022. Attorney Fuller was so kind and helpful to advise me on a problem I am having with my current law firm on my father's estate. Most attorney's won't help but he was great.

My husband and I saw Mr Fuller for our wills. I loved the family atmosphere. We talked about everything from our wills to our pups. Great group of people. Mr. Fuller was MOST accommodating with his time and services for an out-of-state "new" client who would only briefly be in NC for funeral arrangements. He dedicated his time to "educating" me and resolving what seemed to be insurmountable roadblocks. I am VERY thankful that Mr Fuller was there for me!

Don not only completely well all the documentation that was needed for the client, but went the extra mile to visit with the client, at their business, and asked all the right questions to ensure they were well represented and taken care of. If you take 100 years of poorly written wills add a dose of family greed and a long open estate you get a mess no one will touch with a hundred foot pole. This is the situation I found myself in. My father’s estate was so entangled after 14 years of incompetence and fraud that I was turned down by three lawyers before Don agreed to help me. It all began with lovely Sue Nell answering my call late one afternoon in 2020. I gave a quick rundown of my situation and explained how telling my story at $250 a pop to be turned down was getting old and I really needed help. Don was out of the office but she said he would call me after hours. Which he did! That was my first clue I finally found someone who was willing to do the work this estate was going to take. The estate had been open for 14 years and there was quite a bit of land in play with multiple heirs at crazy fractions. This doesn’t even count fraudulent deeds a false surveys. The amount of information to sort through, retain and decipher was thicker then the law books needed to make sense of it. I could go through the endless hoops the others involved put Don and I through but it would only serve to give a headache. What is important is that through it all Don always answered the phone himself, worked late nights and weekends to put an end to what had become a living nightmare for me. I have never had a lawyer work the way Don does. Even to the point of calling in favors on Memorial Day to finish a mediation and complete the deeds. In any frustrating situation the process might not always be clear but Don found the way and lead me to a very satisfactory end to something I thought would become a problem for my grandchildren. Estate law is complicated and I would not think of going to any other lawyer for whatever might come up in the future. Thank you Don and Sue Nell. There is no one else on the planet who could have done what you have been able to do.

My wife and I went to Mr. Fuller for some preparations of wills and estate business, and we were thrilled with his services. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything well which put us at ease. I highly recommend him.
