Lowes Foods City Park

My family went on a walk after eating downtown in Hickory and stumbled upon this park by accident. Boy, were we surprised by how much stuff it had to do and how much fun our kids had. The whole area has rubber ground to cushion feet and falls, great climbing structures, tunnels, drums and keys to play music, a merry-go-round, seesaws, and a splash 💦 pad in the warmer months. It is gated and safe and even has 🚻 restrooms nextdoor for the 🏞 park, along with ♿ handicap accessible structures and seating. It also has picnic tables to enjoy a meal or light snack.

This place is great and has soft rubber surface over most of the area kids play. There is a hill with "astro turf" that kids often roll down. It is completely fenced and has nice bathrooms with plumbing and water and electricity.

Very clean and safe and next to downtown shops. 1st time here and will return. Very fun for toddlers.

This little park is in my opinion one of the most underrated parks in all of Hickory. With a little water space, soft ground, and a huge jungle gym which is gated in a small area and nestled in downtown it's a perfect little place. It's also got a nice little piece of art scattered across the park. Plus you don't have to chase your children all over the place.

4 year old Grand and 16 month old Grand had a great time. We went around 3 and half was in shade. Quite a few kids to play with. Our little guy walked right onto the mini splash pad.

My grandkids love this unique playground and usually run into someone they know to play with. Adults can walk laps around the park while still being able to watch their children.

My kids love this playground! We just finished the food and truck festival and ended it with some playtime!

We took our 5 year old to this park several times during our 10 day visit to Hickory NC. He had a terrific time. The adults in our group took turns watching him, while the rest of us were shopping the amazing shops and the Farmers market. Well done Hickory!

Great place to bring kids! The playground has options for all ages. Really awesome place to come and spend 20 mins to 2 hours!

I didn't know this place existed until today, but I'm glad I found it. The park is small, but it's packed with high-end play equipment and a splash pad. It must have just opened, because everything looks very clean and new. My kids loved it, and I definitely plan on coming back the next time I'm in Hickory.

We love going to Lowes Foods City Park. It's in a great location for other shopping and walking around, the park itself is very fun and has some features that you don't find at other playgrounds. My girls always have a great time. And there are some nice tables and seating areas for parents.

Cool park for downtown hickory. Its needed something for kids for a while. Nice use of creativity for playground equip.

A well built playground that is shaded by very old large trees. My kids loved it. It is spaced out with obstacles for all ages and places for parents to sit without being removed from their child's vision or reach.
