Place is absolutely beautiful! I didn't have any luck fishing but enjoyed watching others reel them in! My bait selection was the issue! I definitely will be returning for a little paddle boat action!

Absolutely beautiful and fun park. There is a small but nice walking trail that lines one side of the lake. You can go fishing and there are many nice spots with benches right by the water to sit. You can also rent a motorized boat for fishing for about $8-$10. You can rent a paddle boat for fishing for $5/ 30 minutes. There is one smaller playground that had slides, swings, and a play structure. It is always very clean, and there are about 3 picnic tables, each has its own grill. There is also a very large covered picnic area with seating for larger groups that also has a grill. It rents for $100/day, and the others are first come, first serve. We had my daughters 1st birthday here and my sons 7th birthday here, and it was really an amazing time. There are bathroom facilities and a volleyball area with sand. I believe there are horseshoe areas too.
The do not allow piñatas or sidewalk chalk, and this was not a problem for us.

Rented the shelter for a graduation party. It was clean, very large. Close to the playground and restrooms.
Park attendant was very nice and helpful.

Great park with lots to offer! Nice little playground with 4 swings, 2 baby and 2 regular. A short, shaded nature trail along the small lake and then through the woods. Picnic areas, scattered benches, paddle boat and row boat rentals (no private boats or swimming allowed). Also has a large pavilion for groups.

It's a great place to bring the family or even just by your self. There are great trails, paddle boats and fishing 🦦. I like to see the ducks while I sit back and look at the lake.

I haven't been to this lake in years and wanted a place to walk and sit by the water. They have both. Trails and seating for you to enjoy. I didn't ride in a paddle boat, but saw that they had these available.

We only had a few minutes at the park, having already driven about three hours to dine at the Route 66 Diner for brunch, then to the Kernersville Folly to examine that anthology of architectural styles and deco treatments from the late 1800's.

Before we left Kernersville, however, we wanted to see the park. We pulled in around 5 pm. As we wound through the lane toward the parking area, we approached a delightfully large lake, bordered on our side with fishermen - and women catching large catfish and large (two-pound) crappies.

Strolling near the edge of the lake was a delightfully clean kiddie area with swings, slides, etc. just past where a super clean area outfitted with grills and picnic tables sat - conveniently close to keep an eye on the playground.

Moving along the concrete breakwater was a large pavillion which is rented by groups for their special occasion needs.

Still further, we could see a substantial number of paddle-boats which are for rent at the small business/information office.

For potty breaks, an extremely clean restroom facility is provided only steps away.

I was so impressed by the three maintenance staff that keeps the park sparkling clean. Not a blade of grass out of place.

We didn't know what we were going to find here, but it was a lovely, well-kept delightful park that reminded me of the great impressionist paintings of yore. We left, knowing we would definitely be back.

Kernersville, your lovely town with its tidy bucolic hills are a warm welcoming window into your community. All small towns should copy your approach.

Since moving from D..C. It’s been hard finding lakes with bike trails or trails that’s by a lake. Kernersville lake is a place you can get some peace of mind. I even had a small picnic with my dog Jagger ( yes it’s dog friendly ). They also have grills & tables if you wanted to throw a small party. Let’s not leave out paddle boats for rent.

I love going here in the early mornings. The beautiful sun rise over the water. The quite time you get with friends in the morning. The lake is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The only time it's closed is Wednesday cause those poor guys need the day off. It's a great place to hang out, go fishing, let your kids play ride bikes take pets and a clean bathroom. You can even have parties there or just have lunch there. You might get geese and duck visitors cranes and random otter. Great prices for boating and the two man paddle boats.

Excellent park for seniors, children, families, handicapped. Excellent park for those who love to fish and hike. Beautifully maintained. Staff on premises. Easily accessible. Beautifully landscaped with river birches, crepe myrtles, and trees native to the area. The walking trail is paved and winds through the woods. The lakeside has benches for fishing and picnic tables/grills.

Good fishing, especially teaching younger kids. Pretty clean except for people who leave fishing line and cigarette butts all over the banks. Nice playground and picnic areas and friendly staff. Our go-to fishing spot.
