The customer service is wonderful! Miss Candice is always so nice and engaging. I come here very often just to walk around, I enjoy the aesthetic and vibe of the store, it feels very safe and comfortable. None of the employees are ever prejudice or disrespectful, it’s a very welcoming space. The store is also very clean and well organized, pleasing to the eye, and every time I come back there is always something new. Hands down my favorite place to be.

So much to see! The store has SO MANY items that it is easy to spend an hour just browsing. The owner is super friendly and gives you an overview of how things are organized from vintage telephones to the hall of holidays. Looking for a typewriter? clock? luggage? Whatever you are hoping to find it is worth a look here at ACME. I like that each visitor is given hand sanitizer (great lavender scent) upon entering, although that seems to bother some? What is wrong with clean hands? Anyway, love the store!

My husband and I stopped here looking for a fire station piece for our Christmas village and we were excited to finally find one at a decent price. The lady working even gave us a discount because she noticed my husband is a firefighter. The store was much larger than I expected! Both people working on Sunday, November 19th were very nice and we enjoyed our conversations with them. The lady that rang us up took great care in making sure our purchase was wrapped properly and took down our information in case anymore pieces we are looking for come in. We will definitely be shopping here again and recommending it to people we know.

I had a wonderful experience at this unique Antique shop. Candice an extraordinary manager welcome at the door and arrange for me to have a personal tour guide name Ansley who educated me on several unique gifts. I think everyone should come to this antique shop and experience the joy of exploring antiques and buy some special gifts for friends and family.

Acme Antique Market is one of my favorite places to visit. I am always greeted warmly by Candice, the owner, or by one of her friendly staff members. The items are grouped by type, so if you are looking for something in particular it's very easy to browse the section you are interested in. The selection is good, and the prices are reasonable. I'm very pleased that downtown Hickory has this gem of a store!

This shop has a good selection of a lot of different things. Everything is well displayed, clean and priced! The owner and two employees were wonderful.
We were even given a spritz of hand sanitation when entering which I certainly appreciated along with information on the shop. Very well done! The owner Candace gave me a wealth of information on where to go for the antiques I am looking for. She even marked a map on where to look since we are relatively new to NC antiquing. She went above and beyond.

This place is awesome. It has a little bit of everything, you could spend forever looking around in this giant store. The two girls working were so sweet and knowledgeable about the items in their shop!

Acme Antiques on Union Square in Hickory NC is a a unique place to shop. Unlike other antique malls that have a lot of booths this store is arranged in attractive groupings that show the beauty of the furniture and glassware, art work. There is also a a nice collection of vintage items. Candice, the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. You will fine something beautiful for yourself and just that right gift.

She helped me pick out additions to my new home in Morganton. And it was very tastefully done! My new mirror, dinette set, and area rug fit perfectly with my taste.

Had a recent visit and I was amazed how clean and organized this store was- the best layout I've ever seen! No clutter because it's all organized by similar type instead of a mish-mash of everything thrown together. Much easier to find what you want. Friendly staff, and the owner Candace wrapped my purchases with such care! I found some really nice goodies there so this will not be my last visit.

I’ve been in this antique shop several times, and it’s one of my favorites. The vibe is great, and having like items grouped together instead of individual booths is such a smart way to organize the store.

But what really brought me here today to write this review was my experience with the owner, Ms. Candace. She is always welcoming and enthusiastic when I’ve visited as a customer, but today I accompanied my mom to her first appointment with Candace to drop off some things to sell in her shop. Let me just say- the kindness and care Candace displayed with my mom during this appointment almost moved me to tears. She helped us unload things from our cars, made sure to give a detailed description of how the process works, and was so attentive to any questions we had. It is undeniably clear that this is a labor of love for Candace, evidenced by her wealth of knowledge, experience, and above all, passion for helping others.

This is a really cool antique shop! Huge variety of quality goods and a super friendly and helpful staff!

I have never been welcomed into a store that way but I absolutely loved it!! Other stores need to take advice :) I feel so safe and comfortable in this store! This place is very sanitary and welcoming! I love the fact that they give you hand sanitizer as soon as you come in because it keeps you, other customers, and the workers/owner safe! Love this place! I will be back :)

Candace is a gem. My 87 yr old mom was with me. Candace suggested she could sit down if she has mobility issues. That's an unusual awareness and compassion. I spend a couple of days per week with my mother while she uses her cane. Nobody seems aware that she might have issues navigating a store. Candace is very creative and innovative. I've never seen an antique or collectibles store that displays items by category. Very clever. She welcomed us to return even though she knew we live over an hour's drive away. We bought nothing and were treated like her best customer. What a unique experience. Loved our visit. Highly recommended

We enjoyed our visit to this shop! There is so much to see, but the owner has kept it really well maintained with items even being grouped together for ease of finding something. It’s still a great place to “treasure hunt” for that perfect piece to add to your collection or to make your home complete. Candice was friendly and very helpful!

No trip to Hickory is complete without stopping by Acme. The store is absolutely fantastic, has a great vibe and layout. Candice and her team are absolutely the best!

I stumbled upon this gem while on a date and both me and my boyfriend loved it. I thought it would be small and chaotic, but was surprised to see a large and organized floor of antiques. From big to small, there is something here for everybody. The employees are very friendly and eager to share ideas information about products in the store and hickory its self. I have revisited the store multiple times and the owner, who is there everyday, welcomes me with a bright smile.

I highly recommend a visit to ACME!!

Acme Antique Market is AMAZING - the store is very large and they have a large variety grouped in such an organized, easily searchable way. The owner is extremely nice and helpful and is super passionate and knowledgeable about the antiques. I had an amazing time and I could get lost for hours shopping. I will very much be returning when I pass through the area again. Whatever you collect/are looking for - you are sure to find something!
