Vintage House Restaurant

Everything was beautifully composed and absolutely delicious. I love restaurants that are in former homes. The service was impeccable. I would like to see one or two more vegetarian options on the menu. Overall wonderful.

Celebrated 24 years of marriage last night at Vintage House. It was our first time here and it definitely lived up to the expectations I had for a romantic night of cocktails and fine dining. We started with the escargot- which was deliciously prepared. Also enjoyed the rolls- and the sprinkle of salt on top definitely just adds that perfect finishing taste! They were pillows of heaven!
My husband ordered the filet - while cooked well and had a nice flavor - was just a tad dry- but still good. I ordered the scallops and pork belly and whoever was cooking scallops last night knew how to cook them! They were buttery soft and had a nice brown sear on the outside. The pork belly was melt in your mouth but also crispy on the outside. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We had a wonderful dessert - which our waitress (I believe her name was Ricki) added a little candle to and wished us happy anniversary ❤ it was a delightful dessert and loved all of the flavors!
Mondays are martini Mondays and we tried all of them and they were all wonderful but the French 77 was my favorite. Overall- this was a great night with wonderful food and atmosphere.

From the moment we walked in the door (we didn’t have a reservation) we were cheerfully greeted by Chris and seated at a lovely table by the window.

Our server, Brittany greeted us shortly after we were seated and was genuinely interested in making sure we had the best dining experience.

The house made yeast rolls were hot, soft and delicious and the salted butter was amazing!

My husband and I both had salad, mine Ceasar with crab cakes and his pear with chicken and they were both fresh and delicious.

The wine selection is extensive and Chris made a point to stop by and check to make sure we enjoyed our meal and talked about different wines on their menu.

Brittany was attentive and we didn’t have to ask her for anything.

We were too full for dessert and the selections sounded amazing!

The historic building is beautifully decorated and maintained and the bathroom was spotless!

The Vintage House is about an hour away from our home and definitely worth the drive.

Thank you Chris, Brittany, Chef and all of the staff for a wonderful experience.

We will be back and highly recommend.

We visited for my birthday. We made reservations for a special private table by the bar. It was beautiful!! The cocktail selection is interesting and sophisticated, I chose The Pink Snap. We had yeast rolls with chipotle butter to start. They have a wide selection of a menu but also offer nightly specials. We chose the filet & mash from the menu and the duck breast with risotto special. The atmosphere was romantic and relaxing. Brandon did a wonderful job taking care of us. It was a great experience and we will be back!!

We had the pleasure of visiting this charming restaurant for the second time on Saturday evening, April 20, and our experience was nothing short of delightful from beginning to end. Britney and the rest of the staff delivered exceptional service, ensuring every aspect of our visit was flawless. The cuisine was exquisite, and the drinks were equally delightful. If it were possible to give more than a 5-star review, we would gladly do so. Rest assured, we will be enthusiastically recommending this restaurant to our family and friends.

The Spark Notes cocktail was on the tart side, it was described as having habanero honey syrup in it but neither my husband or i could taste anything but tart, so i wouldn’t order that again personally. It wasn’t bad, just not what i expected.

The homemade yeast rolls ARE all they’re cracked up to be 🥖 🧈 🍯 🧂
They are so delicious, a little sweet and salty, light and fluffy, don’t pass these up for $7!

I got the Butternut Squash Ravioli as part of my meal, it is a flavor explosion in yo’ mouth, in a good way kind of thing! sweet, savory, plus some crunch with the bourbon candied pecans!

I also ordered the full size Wilted Spinach Salad 🥬 + crab cake as added protein. I often eat spinach salads and this version was simple and tasty. The added crab cake melted in my mouth. Just the right amount of citrus! 🍋 🦀

My husband ordered the appetizer special Beef and pasta as his entree and it was like a beef stroganoff/marsala dish which was super savory and flavorful 🥩 🍜

The lemon vanilla cheesecake 🍰 was very good! I’ve never met a piece of cheesecake i didn’t like though 🤷🏻‍♀ The advertised flavors of lemon and vanilla were noticeable and delicious!

This was our first visit to Vintage House even though we’re from Hickory and it was a nice evening and experience.

Our server was Nelson, he did a great job. He was newer but very professional and kind. All the staff we encountered were nice.

The only dislike i had was being in a room off to the side that felt away from “the excitement”, my husband didn’t mind but i would have rather been closer to others so i could see their dishes, etc. with it being our first time.

For other first timers considering visiting, I would recommend, just be ready to spend $125+, enjoy!

This was probably the best meal I've ever eaten. We had the Outer Banks scallops and pork belly over perloo. Each item was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Brittany was our server and the service was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about not only the menu but the house itself. This was what dining out should be: an experience from start to finish. We will absolutely be back! 10/10

The Oyster Rockefeller was cooked perfectly. The Blue Crab cakes and the Shrimp & Grits were flavorful and contrasted well with the roasted carrots and broccolini. The yeast rolls were “homemade perfection.” Our waiter Cole was new, but performed like a seasoned professional. Great atmosphere and staff. The food was extraordinary!!!

Wanting to treat my bride to a phenomenal Valentine's Day dinner, I made reservations on January 8, 2024 because I knew that they would go quickly. When OpenTable confirmed my reservation for the 14th, I went to website to look at the menu and decide on what I would like to eat. It was on the website and comments on Facebook that I discovered that there was a set menu for Valentine's Day. I started to cancel my reservation and make other plans for the evening. However, having dined at the Vintage House before, I decided to keep those reservations, and I'm so glad that I did. Arriving, we were seated upstairs, which is our favorite area of the restaurant. Our table was adorned with a long stemed red rose, which added to the atmosphere of the evening. Chris was our server and did an extraordinary job. My wife and I made our choices, and a wonderful dining experience began. Each course showed not only the creativity, but also the talent of the staff. My Beef Wellington was outstanding. As a testimony to this, the table that was set about an hour and fifteen minutes after us was informed that the Beef Wellington had sold out. My wife enjoyed her filet, but was not a fan of the Foie Gras. The Foie Gras that was served with her filet had a slightly different texture than the one that I had as an appetizer. She tried my appetizer and enjoyed it. We finished the evening with dessert and coffee as well as Chocolate dipped strawberries. Just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for the most memorable Valentine's Day dining experince that we have ever had. The food and evening was nothing short of perfect.

Seems high end but the atmosphere lacks polish. Wait staff is not dressed well .
That said, we went for the food and that was amazing!
Had the Calamari app and the salmon/shrimp entree. Partner had the scallop fettuccine. We were both very happy with our dinners. Order the Yeast Rolls!!!!

Brought my wife here for the first time, and we had a great time. I was looking for a special place to take her and it sure was. The food and service were excellent. I definitely recommend the Vintage House.

We celebrated our daughters 18th birthday here! Everything was wonderful our waitress Britteny was wonderful and on point with drinks and appetizers! Food was great, and did not take forever nor too soon! Our compliments to the the chef and kitchen! Highly recommended for special occasions! Thank you all, at The Vintage House! We'll see you again!

Wonderful atmosphere, great service and great food! Highly recommend trying out some cocktails. Great place for an elevated dining experience if you're looking for something a little more upscale!

Had my Birthday party with family and friends tonite. We had celebrated at VH last year, and went back with a bigger crew this year! Great food and fabulous service by Brittany!

Highly recommend the ravioli appetizer, The filet was cooked perfectly, & service was excellent. We'll return soon.

Amazing meal. I had the trout with lump crab. Everything was cook perfectly. The staff was helpful and pleasant, but not overwhelming . A bit pricey and worth every penny.

We went to Vintage House for our 18th wedding anniversary on Dec 1st. We always go for special occasions. I had the duck and my husband had the filet mignon. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. We have never had a bad meal at Vintage House. Our waitress Ricki was wonderful and gracious. We can't wait for our next special occasion to dine at Vintage House again!

Went for anniversary dinner and everything was great. Rikki was our waitress and did a fantastic job... Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will be back.

We went here for our Anniversary and we loved it. The crab cake appetizer was delicious with big chunks of tender crab. So good! My husband had the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection. So tender and juicy that you could cut it with a butter knife. I had the filet. So yummy and yes very tender. Their wine selection was pleasantly large and the server had many suggestions. We are definitely coming back and requesting the cute little booth in the bar.
