Great casual atmosphere. Lots of food options. We haven’t tried the tasty treats yet but the coffee is delicious and so many options! Great spot on campus! We went while USC was out of classes so it was quiet and not crowded at all!

Love this place. Had a turkey avocado provolone sandwich yesterday that was delicious. Was skeptical today when I was offered a breakfast sandwich with fig jam, egg and bacon. Not gonna lie. That was amazing. Looking forward to coming back!

Neat aesthetic. Great location. The snack type food we had was great (cinnamon bun, pumpkin bread). The coffees were great and milk alternatives available. Iced tea was great. Music was great with nice atmospheric sound and volume. It's in a cool old house, which is a neat vibe but makes for close quarters. Wasn't super busy when we were there, but I imagine it could be an issue during busy times. Overall great experience and helpful, friendly staff.

We are so glad we came across Cool Beans before heading back home. The coffee was very good and the barista was super helpful and kind. We had breakfast downstairs and I don't think we'll soon forget the Farmer's Market bowl! If you think the presentation is off the chain, just wait til you eat it! Absolutely fantastic!! Grits, eggs, goat cheese, spinach, & bean sprouts! We highly recommend this coffee shop!

This cozy space decorated with local art was the perfect spot to avoid the pouring rain outside. I tried the bacon and blues panini which did not disappoint. Surprisingly, blueberry jam added the perfect amount of sweetness and paired well with the feta cheese, fresh spinach, and savory bacon. I also tried the au lait, which was pretty good.

Definitely one of my top three favorite coffee shops. The drink called the Perfect Man from Cool Beans is the drink that caused me to start to like coffee. When ever I am in the area I like stopping by to get one. They also have pretty good food if you want more than a coffee.

At first glance I was a little skeptical - but I was pleasantly surprise! This is a cute house like cafe with great vibes.

Very helpful and kind baristas, great wifi, plenty of outlets, LOTS of seating, great food and specialty coffee.

This coffee shop is upstairs in a quaint little house where there is a small cafe located downstairs. It is cute and quaint and they have some really great coffee ideas. Like the "Perfect Man" which is a double shot espresso breve with Irish cream syrup... niiiiiice right?!

They also serve quick breakfast sandwiches like egg on a croissant and some pastries. You can find college youth relaxing at the table with books and MacBooks in studious bliss but it doesn't have that "college kid" feel where you want to take your coffee to go. More like you are in the air with young adults exuding promising futures. They are part of the atmosphere.

My one thing is I am totally in it for the coffee, but the food isn't always consistent and isn't always good. If they took 100% care in preparing fresh food, the place would be absolutely great.

We were walking around the campus and I got thirsty. I wanted to see if there were any local businesses we could visit. I found this place on Google Maps and I got a sweet tea. It was a really cool spot. It feels like a big house, and you walk up the stairs to order. The place was very busy with lots of students coming to hang out or study on a weekend. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, and the people working were also very nice.

a columbia classic! i have gone here throughout my years as a college kid and i love it. it's so warm and cozy in here for studying, but also a great place to hang out with friends. their mochas are always delicious. one of my fave coffee spots.

Live it, 24/7 great for college students. I like the hot chocolate. They have rotating local and for games to play. Check out the open mike on wednesdays!

Fantastic little coffee shop with a cozy and personal interior that combines the warmth of the room with the drink in your hands. The menu is varied and features multiple fun drink options, each one delicious. From hot coffee to frappuccinos, everybody will have something to enjoy here. Personal favorites are the fantasia for a chocolate beverage and a dirty chai latte for something to try some of their floral syrups. Every experience I've had here has been delightful with a staff that provides a fantastic customer service, Hunter and Lee have particularly been stand out, they made each interaction memorable and left me feeling known and valued. This has been a gem of a find and a shop to visit time and time again.

Hello coffee shop vibes 🥰 cute place, even for people who aren't in college anymore 😅 diverse menu with lots of "specials" including a candy corn latte 🤤 I had the honey oat (~$4.50) - so yummy! Lots of vegetarian options. Shares a space with College Grounds Cafe (downstairs). Sit anywhere you like between the two floors! Lots of people studying, chatting, chilling.

The Iced Matcha Green Tea latte is so good. The staff are always friendly and accomodating. The space is so well-decorated and cozy. 10/10

Great service & Coffee. The Barista was super knowledgeable and helped me decide on each of the 4 drinks I got. Good selection of snacks, Great vibe and hours!
Only thing that I wasn’t too comfortable with was the stairs, overall great experience, will be back when we are in Columbia again.

Cool Beans is exactly what I want in a coffee place. Good coffee, tasty snacks, lots of options, and it just feels comfortable and not pretentious at all. I really enjoyed my peppermint frappe, although it was hard to pick what exactly I wanted cause everything seemed good. It's the perfect place to chill out with friends or work on homework
