Awesome experience! If you want real food instead of the overpriced frozen junk in the tourist areas you need to go to Doc’s. All ingredients are natural, fresh and locally sourced. The atmosphere is very interesting, ask for a sharpie and sign the wall, ceiling or wherever you can find a spot! Staff is so nice and make you feel at home!

A wonderful experience. Doc and his wife are consummate hosts, and the food was fabulous. It is a super cool, unique eating experience, with sensory overload. Tons of cool, quirky stuff to look at. The food was center stage. I will definitely go back on my return trip to Cosby. Please give it a try. You'll be glad you did.

We stopped just due to our own curiosity of the dine in bus seating and the decor which stands out on the side of the road. We were immediately met by Doc pulling in and welcomed even though we were there before opening. The food was perfect..I had the half chicken and the wife street tacos. The beans are by far in the top 3 I’ve ever eaten. We spoke with Doc (20 mins) and admired his passion and personality.. A true monument to this area. Stop and see for yourself and prove me wrong! Enjoy

Such a unique little stop to our trip. If you are looking for something a little different and kind of wholesome, this is definitely the place. Everyone is so nice and the atmosphere is so different. Would definitely recommend this location if you are looking for somewhere different to eat. The food was delicious and brought out in a timely manner.

Thank you for having us!

Doc and Debi are some of the best humans you’ll meet that run their kitchen out of an old bus. It’s the most unique dining option I’ve ever been to. They treat you like family and the food is amazing! Don’t miss out on visiting Doc’s and make this a priority on your trip to the smoky mountains in Cosby, TN!

Don’t miss the bus! Consider this a must-see when visiting the Smokies! The entire property is an art exhibit, from Woodstock memorabilia to handmade trinkets. The owners are genuine folks who greeted us at the door and made us feel so welcome. The Doc shared stories of going on tour with Grateful Dead and showed us some original posters. The chicken salad was delicious and you can’t miss out on the smoked pies!

We loved absolutely everything about this place at first we were hesitant to stop because we didn’t really realize it was a Restaurant, but upon further investigation and talking with the locals, they said we absolutely had to stop at docs to get some brisket. so once we pulled off the road, we were greeted by the sweet man by the name of Doc, who was bringing freshly made brisket right into the restaurant at about lunchtime.

I’m not kidding you when I tell you I have eaten at places all over the world, but this is the best food I’ve ever had in my entire life. Nothing even comes close. I have had dinners that cost over $1000 a plate and those don’t compare to what we received a docs. This is the most unique and pleasant experience that has changed my opinion of food, and where I get it, and what I should expect to pay, and that no matter what the higher, the dollar figure, most likely equals purely smoke and mirrors. The smoked pecan pie at docs was absolutely out of this world, along with the brisket and the barbecue baked beans. I think I would travel all the way back to Tennessee just to eat this one more time before I die.

Renting a cabin in Cosby and we were driving back from Gatlinburg and saw Docs. Pulled in and we couldn't be happier that we did. The Universe was talking to us because this place is special on so many levels. We were greeted by Doc in the bus and everyone eating in there gave us the recommendations on what to get. Kindness was abundant. I'm not a foodie by any sorts but their BBQ pork was outstanding....the beans were crazy amazing....and the smoked pie just knocked my socks off. I could go on and on.....but I couldn't be more grateful for the experience, the laughs, the food, and the kindness we were shown. Go here....it's beyond worth it!!!

Don't let the outside appearance scare you off. It is a really neat place and the folks there are very friendly. The food is great too! Worth the drive from Gatlinburg just for the experience.

What a cool spot! You can't miss it, definitely stop. It's a quirky fun place, eat in the bus or out. The smoker was going and it smelled SO GOOD!! They make everything from scratch, even their veggie burgers (yum!) Everything was super fresh and delicious.

Smoked pies, homemade soup, tea and lemonade, burgers and sandwiches. The collard greens are super tasty too.

It's good to know they have vegetarian options for those that want them.

The people were really nice and welcoming. I can't say enough good things, it was a great experience. And unexpected too, which makes for the best times!

Yelp and Maps just don't do certain local gems justice. We were lucky that my partner had a good hunch and pulled a U-ey to try this place out...good vibrations as soon as you step onto their lot. We decided on take-out because we were tired from hiking all day, but dining in would have been a treat - there's a talented strings player set up by the door and you're dining on a bus! The smoked meats are satisfying, the familiar side dishes are an elevated quirky (potato salad had peas in it), and the smoked pecan pie was my favorite. It felt like our artsy uncle and aunt in the Smokies had us over for a bbq dinner. NB: I didn't realize their hours were so limited so I'm glad we got the chance.

What an awesome experience. Love the vibe and energy. Way better than a chain restaurant. Perfect soft tunes from lice guitar. Chili is on point. Heard good things about the smoked pecan pie and will be back to try it before we leave.

If you're in the area and you don't stop here, shame on you. The food is some of the best I have had in the area, and the owners are even better. It's cute, it's quirky, it's fun, and the food is slap your momma good. I'm only upset it took me so long to discover this place.

Quirky little roadside BBQ place with great food and super nice owners. Meat is smoky, but not too smoky. Even their desserts are made in the smoker. Very much worth the stop if you're near the Greenbrier area of the Smokies.

Absolutely loved our experience at Docs 321 cafe. We went right when they opened so we were the only ones there . We sat outside with our puppy and felt like we were eating with friends who want to take care of you. Doc and Barb were very attentive and the food was great. We ate BBQ and also had to get a piece of smoked pie to go. Everything was awesome . Loved checking out the bus and all the decor. Can't wait to visit again !

We found Doc's by accident looking for a bite before we went rafting.
We pulled in for the interesting sights and stayed for the delicious food.
Everyone was friendly, and inviting, and the food was better than I could have imagined.
I would recommend anyone stop here to at least see this converted bus for themselves.

This was a go by it and turn around to go back. We where out getting some bbq and I said that place looks interesting. Didn't have ribs but we got some pulled pork with the most amazing collard greens and homemade potato salad. The pork was tremendous. Loved the bbq sauce. Very cool folks running the place. Loves the grateful dead, how can you not like it.
