Eddie V's Prime Seafood

First time at Eddie V's went for my birthday. It was outstanding. Service was spectacular, and the food amazing. We ordered too much food but we wanted to try many things that were on their menu. We will just have to go back and try the rest.

This place is fantastic. Gourmet food, exquisite wine selection, and this is the best stake I've had in TX. The restaurant is very elegant. Also, the dessert options are magnificent. Perfect for a special occasion.

Very friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. The Seabass was delicious, as were the oysters! Our waiter was excellent and very informative and attentive. The manager came over to wish us a Happy Anniversary and came back to check on our meal. Everything was excellent.

We had an incredible dinner! We were celebrating Mother’s Day and decided to try someplace new. The service was impeccable and the food was top notch!

I have ordered so many good items here but this time I tried something new, the caviar, and I just say it was absolutely worth the price, so fresh and different, definitely something I would like to order again. For my main dish I got a filet mignon on a bed of whipped potatoes and with shrimp, it was the perfect dish! I also got their purple drink, you have to get it, it’s so delicious, be careful, you’d want more!

I don't even know where to start. This place was outstanding and fit for a king. I will start off with the food.

So, I went wanting the Big Eddie, but my waiter explained it was made for quite a few people. He also suggested multiple other platters I may be interested in. So after careful consideration, I took his advice and started with the crab cake. I must say this is the best crab cake I have ever had. Not only was it huge, but there wasn't any irrelevant filler, and the taste was amazing. What really put this over the top was the light layer of panko breading on top. It gave a nice crisp and really elevated the overall taste.

Next, I decided to try something I've never eaten before, so I opted for the steak tartare. It was delicious as there was a flood of flavors hitting you at the same time and also, there was a very subtle spiciness to it. I enjoyed every bite and will definitely try again.

Next up was the jumbo shrimp, which was stuffed with crab. I could have eaten a pound of these because the crab and shrimp were so delicious and flavorful. I never had anything like this and was definitely happy to know this existed.

Then I tried the scallops, which had a light sear on top and was drenched im butter. The scallops were tender and tasty as expected.

My next dish was the lobster mash potatoes. I only tried a few bites as I was beyond stuffed and had to take the rest home. I will say it was amazing, but more importantly, it had huge chunks of lobster claws in it versus most places that only put tiny pieces of lobster.

Lastly, the lobster was saved for home because there was no way I could even bite into it as my belly was ready to explode.

Service: The service was 2nd to none. I was always checked up on, I never had to ask for refills, and the most important detail to me was that my waiter never interrupted me as I was eating. To me, that is very important as I believe it is annoying when a waiter tries to speak to you as you are chewing. When I was done eating or just taking a breather, that is when they would make sure if everything was ok. Additionally, my waiter knew the menu exceptionally well and offered suggestions for me but never tried to force me to get anything. The other staff members who either brought my drinks or food were also friendly and treated me just as well.

Atmosphere: The ambiance of this place was welcoming. I loved the decor of the giant fish you can see as soon as you walk in. The lighting was low and just right to where you felt a romantic but also put you in a relaxed mood. I do like how you can partially see the kitchen if you are sitting in the middle of the restaurant.

Overall, this place is the place to be, and I will be looking for any excuse to go back again.

Had our anniversary dinner here, was great! Service is fantastic, Brian C. and his crew were awesome. Food was super good. I had the ahi Tuna, was excellent. Portions are great as well. They surprised us with a dessert plate which was very nice (pictured). It's a little pricey but it was worth it.

This place is awesome! Some things to remember, make a reservation, place is packed always.
The customer service is second to none, and the manager checking on us was awesome.
The food was great, and liquor options were tremendous.
I have no cons. It's a must go for a special dining experience!

Start to finish this was an excellent experience. Great food and Alejandra provided over the top service. One of those rare cases when gourmet prices actually delivered on gourmet food.

We celebrated my in laws anniversary..couldn't ask for a classier atmosphere. From the drinks to the bread. Each bite was delightful than the next. By far the best crab cakes in town.

When the dishes challenge the pallette, I do not fret. The lamb chops were prime and tender... although the chimichurri asked for more... I asked for a smoked old fashion with the house Rye and was introduced to an adventure. Trust the process.

This is a fine dining establishment, so more of a treat than an every day outing for me. You definitely get what you pay for. The food was delicious, service excellent (thanks to Al!), and atmosphere grand. The lobster taco appetizer was fantastic, scallop entrée was flavorful, truffled macaroni & cheese was sublime, and brussels sprouts were tasty. Wine was also good. Even the water was good. Lol.

Eddie V's San Antonio knocked it out of the park for our anniversary dinner! They alway make you feel like a rockstar! The intentional detail that creates a memorable and romantic experience on a special day!

We had the chef specials! They were delicious and cooked perfectly! I had sea bass hubby had steak! Of course I had a Pomegranate Mule! We had all the courses, Point Judith Calimari for appetizer and dessert was the awesome Bananas fosters with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate and Berries and cream! I don't usually eat desserts, but try to eat a little on special occasions!

Okay ladies and gents, it time to step it up with Eddie V's for special occasions!

We used to go to the steak house, starting with a "P"! But no more, Eddie V's knows how to help you celebrate like a star!

amazing experience. Brian is the best server i’ve ever had 🙏🏼. Food was full of flavor, not a big drinker but the drinks were nice . the Filet Mignon was cooked a perfect medium rare paired with the biggest lobster tail. Truffle mac is top tier and a must have. Literally 0 complaints.

Came for our 31st anniversary looking for a different celebration other than steak so we came here for sn early dinner. Brittany the manager made us feel at home & very welcomed. Jose & Gabby waited on us, 1st rate service all the way. Everyone was very attentive and pleasant. We never wanted for anything. All our for was superb. Sea bass, shrimp, scallops, calamari appetizer and the dessert all fabulous. Please give them a try and this will be our new special occasion AND happy hour place. 😉

10 out of 10 experience! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed everything he recommended to us. Scallops were so delicious along with the lobster bisque, crab cake & brussel sprouts. Since it was our first visit, our waiter brought out a small, complimentary banana fosters cake that was absolutely perfect! It's definitely a seafood lovers oasis!

Al made the evening a special one. He has been our server for years, and we appreciate him. The food is on point, and the calamari is some of the best I have ever had.

A big thank you to Sean! An amazing host who had great suggestions, was attentive, and just made our entire visit pleasant.

My husband took me to this location for dinner on a Saturday night. Valet was backed up and the parking lot was small. We had a reservation for 8pm, got there right on time, and was seated about 5/6minutes later.

We had the special of the night which was waygu steak with lobster tail. I’ve never had a good lobster tail before this night. Finally a lobster tail that didn’t taste rubbery and flavorless. Everything was so delicious. We’ve been to other Eddie V’s locations and the food is always amazing but this was another level. Everything was so so good.

It was definitely busy so I recommend making reservations prior to arriving. The parking lot is pretty busy so I’d say give some grace time to find parking as well.

Good oysters, tasty soup and a good Branzino but it was a little bit over oily. In total you get what you pay.

I can’t brag enough about this place.We had the Best I mean the best waiter ever. Chris G.He knew the menu so so we’ll wasn’t in a rush to speak to us & had us feeling so comfortable as if we knew each other.I definitely recommend this place not only for there Great food but the Service.I’d never been there before it was an unplanned date & I enjoyed every minute of it.

The perfect dinner date after a crazy work week. Everything was delicious and our server was amazing. He accommodated all our requests and offered suggestions. Those lobster mash potatoes were crazy good!

Update 3/1/2024 - Sat at the bar tonight for dinner and drinks. The whole bar staff was amazing. Extra accommodating and beautiful smiles. Plus the food was great. Decided to order the lamb chops, rib eye, crab fried rice and the creme brulee. And I love how Eddie V's smokes their old fashioneds perfectly!!
