Extra Fine

Ordered delivery and got much more than anticipated! We got a delicious quiche (that was still warm), two different sandwiches, and their carrot cake and chocolate espresso mousse desserts. The sandwiches were both phenomenal with a great balance of fillings and delicious bread. The carrot cake was good and not too sweet… but the chocolate espresso mousse was an instant hit with my husband. Chocolate mousse is one of his favorites and the fluffy smooth texture of this one were… extra fine. We will definitely be ordering from here again! Everything was packaged well and arrived timely through Favor. The only thing I would suggest is calling to see what their pastries are before placing an order as the delivery apps aren’t always accurate.

Extra Fine Bakery truly went above and beyond for us! We ordered a special cake for my wife's 30th birthday, but there was a mix-up and the cake was mistakenly given away. While this could have easily turned into a disappointing experience, the team at Extra Fine Bakery handled the situation with utmost professionalism and care.

As soon as we informed them of the error, they immediately took responsibility and sprang into action to rectify the mistake. They made us a brand new cake from scratch, ensuring it was ready in time for the celebration. The dedication and effort they put into making things right were impressive and truly appreciated.

The replacement cake was not only beautiful but also delicious, showcasing the bakery's exceptional talent and attention to detail. It's easy to criticize when things go wrong, but it's important to recognize when businesses go out of their way to make things right. Extra Fine Bakery demonstrated outstanding customer service, and I highly recommend them for their delicious baked goods and their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Best latte I've had in a hot MINUTE! The crispy potatoes were absolutely delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the squash quiche. The kolache with fruit (apricot) was the best one I've had since the Czech Stop in West. Will be back for sure. I can't wait for cooler weather so we can sit comfortably in their outdoor area. 💗

I love this spot and apparently it's a great place to do work because I saw several people on laptops. The coffee was great. There are delicious pastries and a limited breakfast and lunch menu. I got the breakfast sandwich and blueberry muffin, which were both good. There's free street parking and a parking lot to the left of the building but I'm not sure if it's meant for this place. I liked the music that was playing. The employees were nice and I got my drink/food very quickly.

I’ve visited this location quite a few times and they never disappoint. The food and pastries are out of this world. You will find this adorable little spot nestled in the Monte Vista neighborhood. The breakfast sandwiches are my absolute favorite, I don’t eat eggs in my sandwiches but this is the only place I have to have egg in my sandwich. The quiche is delicious and creamy and comes with a yummy little salad. The lunch menu, everything is amazing of course but the club is an absolute hit. Let’s move on to the pastries now, shall we? Just eat everything. Made fresh daily and the flavor profiles are familiar with a touch of uniqueness. The blueberry yuzu muffin is extraordinary, it’s a sweet muffin with the tang of yuzu. The atmosphere of the place is so calm and mellow. The seats along the walls have plugs under them so you can plug in your phone or laptops. If you can’t make it during the week they offer an amazing spread for brunch on the weekends. This will quickly become your new favorite spot. They also do cake orders for any event you may have.

I came here back in March, but after scrolling my camera roll & revisiting these pics, I was reminded how wonderful their food was. Honestly, I'm shocked I haven't been back. The environment was cozy and welcoming, and our server was very personable. Definitely a spot I'll be revisiting very soon.

Came for coffee but stayed because the menu was so tempting. The thai tea pancakes were amazing and not overly sweet, breakfast sandwich was also killer. Servers were quick and friendly! Definitely coming back :)

The Croque Madame was a rich experience, so many layers and such good flavors. I also had a bite of their Chorizo Shakshuka, incredible! Coffee was good, very cute vibes, got a shirt and wish I'd got a croissant. They looked so good!

Every day, they have lots of good things. What's rare is that they also have GREAT things every day, too. The rotating menu and baked goods is a welcome change from other places that kind of fall into a set menu because they've become so big they need a commissary to bake their goods.

Also, on Saturdays and Sundays, brunch has table service! Go go go!

We tried Extra Fine for the first time this morning, and we will definitely be back. I had the pancakes and the other peeps had the avocado toast and the quiche respectively. The portions were large (well, the quiche was very large), and everything was fresh and tasty. The lattes were good, and they even do a decaf latte. There's seating both inside and outside. We got there just after 9am and by the time we left 90 minutes later, it was quite busy. The waitstaff are pleasant and attentive without being pushy or rushing you. Lovely place !!

Very cute bakery and cafe full of many delicious looking treats. We tried the blueberry yuzu muffin and the orange bun. These pastries were bother delicious. I especially loved the muffin. Although the frosting was a tad too sweet, the actual muffin was moist without being overly buttery and carried with it a fantastic yuzu undertone. Marvelous.

However, the standout was the cream of cauliflower soup. This soup was exploding with flavors that ran deep. Pairing this with the moist and perfectly baked sourdough and there was no looking back. I could only eagerly anticipate the next heavenly bite. Honestly, one of the best cream of "plant" soups I have ever had.

I truly hope this place survives as it is amazing. I know I will be revisiting soon. I fortunately still have two more pastries to partake in.

My only request is a spruced up out door eating area. Currently some cute chairs right next to less cute parking spaces. Consider some planter boxes to bring a garden element to these sitting arrangements.

Super cute atmosphere and had great service and recommendations by the female employee! Had a chocolate hazelnut lavender latte and it's probably my new favorite drink! Muffin was also delicious! Definitely a must try!!

So happy to have found this perfect lil brunch/bakery/coffee spot! Their breakfast sandwich could honestly be the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. They had indoor and outdoor seating. Great local eatery, will definitely be bringing my friends next time

Extra Fine’s brunch menu was delicious! My husband and I got the veggie breakfast sandwich, breakfast sandwich,the avocado toast with fried egg, coffee and a matcha latte! Omg everything was so good, the flavors just went so well with each other. Glad we made it in time for brunch. Keep up the good work!

Had an Americano and a cheese and sausage kolache. Everything was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food and coffee were delicious. All in all it's an awesome spot.

I thoroughly enjoyed some quiche and coffee! It was a first time visiting and I’d definitely return. Great atmosphere too!

I encourage you to go and enjoy your time there. The food is excellent and unlike most coffee shops. A really neat avocado toast with pistachio pesto and ricotta cheese. The staff was exceptional, especially Paco.

Extra fine is the most perfect little neighborhood cafe in San Antonio. My family orders takeout from here at least 2-3 times a week - we literally can’t get enough. The ingredients are always fresh and cooked to literal perfection.

I definitely wish mimosas were on the menu for brunch but I can’t even complain!

Great place! Delicious food and friendly staff. I had the homemade granola, yogurt, berry and honey bowl and it was amazing!
