Smitty's Bait House

I am very thankful I got recommended this bait shop. Before I got my bait from aunt Margie’s (numerous times) I would usually get skunked, or just some catfish or little fish on shrimp, but never on their mullet. The lines at Margie’s would be long with rude employees. The first time I got my bait from Smitty’s I caught 2 big bull reds on their mullet, and at least 15 flounder (out of season) on their shrimp. I’ve been back many times and never a skunk, and always big bull reds 💪 The times I’ve been, the employees are very nice and helpful, and the place DOSENT STINK! And never a long line. If I could give ‘em 6/5 I would.

I been coming here for many years even before all the major storms throughout the years. They keep pretty decent bait for the avid fisherman and tackle if needed. I'm just glad they always come back after a natural disaster. I hope you guys continue to stay alive!

Found my new go to bait shop whenever I fish Galveston. The staff were really friendly and I liked the selection of tackle.

More than never, they will have good bait. They open early for the before the birds fisherman or woman.

It's been here for a long time. One of the best places in the Bay Area to get live and dead bait. I bought some fresh dead squid and caught a 43 lb shark. Little guy but I haven't had that luck off my first reel in, in 20 years. Thanks guys.

Me and my son stopped by this store to get some shrimp as bait.. The girl was very helpful and cheerful. When we leave we realized we left gloves at home so we went back and inquired about. The girl gave us some disposable gloves.. Now how cool is that? I'm definitely coming back here for baits and also told all my friends as well..

Great place never disappoints. Smittys is always well stocked and staffed with a friendly team. We came once by mistake and never stopped coming after that. Its now a fishing trip tradition. Cant wait for our next visit.

Iv never quite seen to be Disappointed when I come to Smitty's and IV been coming here for bait I would like to say every Sunday every week and there's Awsome service would not recommend any bait other bait shop because your not going to find a nice staff members any were like smitty's plus over all the bait at smitty's it does not get any fresher then that.
