M & M Restaurant

Growing up in Sussex, I used to go here with my Dad all the time. Thankfully, things haven't changed much since then. If you're a fan of an old school family diner, then this is a place for you. Have a seat at the wrap around food counter and get your coffee and eggs as they make them right in front of you. I love the look, the food, the friendly workers and the great prices. . It's just a wonderful small town atmosphere you can't find everywhere. I stopped in the other day after not going for many years. They're closing in a few days so I had to go before that happened. I'm glad I got to return after all these years and have another great meal.

Excellent Mom and Pops diner. I enjoyed the open faced Denver on rye bread with a side of hash browns and a cup of coffee. Excellent and fast service. I was in and out in 25 minutes.

Old school diner. Quality service. Staff is conscientious and caring. A good place for young families, old couples, and singles alike. Enjoy!

Great classic, old fashioned restaurant! Our burgers were delicious and the fries were great too.

I love this local family run cafe. The staff is fantastic as always, even after a long absence they remember me when I walked in and even recalled my preferred food and drink order. Do not be afraid to ask for a small adjustment, such as getting the spicy omelette stuffed styled. They accept card now but don't be afraid to leave a nice cash tip <3

First time eating here, will be coming back regularly. There was no wait time, our server greeted us immediately and was very nice. The food is quickly prepared and is very reasonably priced. Overall, a perfect place for locals to come grab a bite and a cup of coffee.

Possibly the best hidden gem in area. The best service..the best homemade cooking. The atmosphere is old school. Brings back happy childhood memories of up north diners.Thank you Theresa for making our first visit so enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

Going to miss the old M & M when they close next week. Charming atmosphere, great staff, fresh delicious food, quick service, extremely affordable. Good luck to the new owners can't wait to see what you have in store!!

Cheap good food. Relaxed environment. Love this mom and pop shop. It features booths, tables and diner seating. Nice waitresses, too!
Pro tip: get there before 930/10 on weekends because it's always packed.

This local eatery can be pretty popular on the weekends. Their menu is small and not imposing, with just a two-sided card carrying your usual diverse choice of all-American food and drinks. Service is incredibly speedy. This is one of many restaurants you could retreat to from the more popular chains for the price, provided you bring your own cash and checks.

Comfortable blue collar sort of atmosphere. Good breakfasts, prompt, competent & polite service. Never been for anything other than breakfast but a well-run place like this is most likely consistently good.

Great hidden gem! The food was amazing and so was the service. Yummy homestyle cooking (we only had breakfast) and good size servings! It reminded me of a cute up north dive / old George Webb's with amazing food. Will definitely go back!

Love, Love, Love this place. We came from Texas to visit and we found this lil gem. Staff is friendly and breakfast was amazing! Came back 2 more times during our 8 day visit. Super cheap too!

Excellent diner food at reasonable prices. I love that this place is extremely casual. It's not any thing fancy but it's a hidden gem in Sussex! The locals (including myself) love this place, so expect busier times on weekends for breakfast.

Great Southern Hospitality... So Far Up North!

I took my daughter, who said it looked "Sketchy" while heading home. Their hospitality is second to none, and it comes so natural! The food... it matched the hospitality. You have to try this restaurant.

Local mom and pop diner for breakfast and lunch. I recommend the corned beef hash. Coffee is hot and plentiful. They even keep your mug for you if you come in regularly. Open when I get there at 6am. And it's fast. The short order cook knows what's up. Can get in and out in 20 minutes with coffee a full meal and stay under 10 bucks with tip. Can't say enough good about m&m. Hope they don't get bought out. Would be a real shame.

I love this place. You will find real Americans here. I feel like I'm back in time again and the food is really good. Prices are very good too. Can't beat M & M.

M&M may be the most perfect greasy spoon in the western hemisphere. We've never had a bad meal or service, and even though we live in Tosa now, it's worth our trip out. Best wishes to the Babbits family in their retirement.

Omg! 1st time eating at this dive and it was a taste of home! Price is great and very affordable. Staff are teenagers but very courteous. Food is prompt. Why didn't I know about this place??? Glad I do now!! Highly recommended!!

Fantastic breakfast, cottage fries (Fried potatoes) were crisp and thin cut. As they should be! Not a big pile of mush.
Our waitress was excellent and attentive (sorry, I forgot her name) young woman about 20. Worked weekday (our first time there) Wednesday about noon-ish.
The prices were MORE than reasonable.
We live in West Bend, however my husband drives this way to work in Waukesha.
I will definitely tell him to have his breakfast here!!! We will be back.
Please don’t take offense, but the walls are not conducive color to relax/eat. A antique white or a soft “butter yellow” sure would brighten the place up. It needs a facelift. Thanks. Diane
