Steak 'n Shake

Great food for an amazing price! Their shakes are absolutely phenomenal. They also give you the option to have flavored fries, we tried the salt and vinegar. They tastes absolutely delicious. We went around lunch time so they got slightly busy but the service was pretty good for being as busy as thy were.

Food was really great. No complaints at all. The server we had was super generous and helpful. He consistently checked on us and made sure we were doing great. Food was hot and fresh and their coffee was amazing! Definitely will be back here for breakfast.

Real life situation: Pull up to this Steak ‘n Shake 15 minutes before it closes, Sunday of Labor Day weekend, 4 hours into a 7 hour drive. From my short walk to the restroom to the front counter, I asked my husband if we could leave twice. I was positive we would get mediocre food because that’s what happens when you walk into somewhere closing. I was wrong.

From the time we walked in the front door until we left, everyone greeted us with smiles and was lovely to us. If it wasn’t enough that everyone was great to us... our food was freaking GREAT! We chowed down on our warm, perfect meal and hit the road. Hell yeah, this Steak ‘n Shake. Y’all are killing the game.

I've loved Steak and Shake since I was a kid. Be patient with these folks right now. They, like many others are short-handed, so service is a bit slow. Still very friendly and the food is great!

The younger red haired woman at the cash register was the absolute most polite and awesome person I meet while at this restaraunt. Everyone else was also polite. But I was very impressed with how well spoken and polite she was that day. Food was also good and received quite fast for as busy as it was.

Steak n Shake is a beloved memory of my childhood with my Dad and Grandma. This was my first visit in many years and my husband's first visit ever. It was a little slow but they ars short staffed like everyone else. Delicious burgers and amazing shakes!! The drive through server had a great attitude and got our order correct. We were very happy!!

It was awesome. I'm not a beef eater, but this burger is perfect for me. The thin steak patty is so flavorful. My husband loves meat, so he got the double patty. They make it exactly like you prefer, with and without whatever you want. I also love the skinny fries. I wish we had one in La., but we did discover FREDDY'S, which is very similar. The waiter was very accommodating and nice.

A legacy...my wife's favorite. Dining room was just opened amid COVID-19 restrictions. The dinning area was very clean. The staff friendly and courteous. Food tasted great. Order was correct and free soft drink refills were managed well. Milk shakes are over-the-top! Bathrooms were clean.
We will be eating here again.

It was my first time there. I got the Garlic Double Hamburger 🍔. It's the best burger I have ever tasted in my life. I will be going there every time I go to Montgomery Alabama. It's cheap and all the staff are friendly and nice. I would give this establishment a 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 excellent food

I can’t say enough good things about this place! We came Monday evening and noticed a sign on the door stating they were closing. We sat in the car and contemplated where to eat when the store manager came out and invited us in. She allowed us to eat (not knowing we were from out of town and had no Steak n Shake near us!) and was so exceptionally kind. Thank you so much for such wonderful service!

Great food and amazing service! What we truly love is the classic feel you get when you walk into the building. It takes you back in time to when things were simpler. The burgers are amazing and those shakes are to die for. My personal favorite is the peanut butter cup.

We stopped by late last night on our way to Florida. The staff was lovely and the food was fantastic! I hate that we forgot the name of our waitress, but she was a younger lady with red hair. She was very sweet and funny, and checked on us often. Great burgers, loved the fries, great stop!

I've stopped here many times and have always had a good experience, service is kind, courteous and welcoming. I absolutely love the Royal burger and the fries are always a must. But the shakes can't be beat, so many to choose from I usually have trouble making up my mind.

Update the girl at the dive threw window packed our food carefully and also cover our fry's in a way so the didn't all fall out of the bag that was nice to see someone actually care . The food was better then previous times also

I never go to steak ‘n shake anymore because I never have time. But we went Saturday around 12:30 and we had the best serve I’ve had in a long time! Mariah was amazing! She was attentive and got us all of our food in a timely manner. I am going back that’s for sure and make sure that she is my server! She deserves a raise !

We were there early and there wasn't a wait line, but there was when we left. They were super busy, but did a good job of keeping up. The hamburgers were great and so we're the shakes. While we were there every server was super busy, but each one of them kept a smile on their face and were very polite.

I love this place. Breakfast is my favorite but it's all good. The food is not pretentious. The place is always clean and the staff are all very friendly. Service is quick and servers check back often to make sure everything is ok. Not one where I live so always a treat to eat here.
