The first thing off the plane was to get some BBQ.
The Mexican style corn was so good that I should have gotten more.
The ribs had some really good bark on it, and the brisket was so moist. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Once you get your food, there is a pickle and onion bar, which is such a nice compliment to the meal. On the way out I had to get some peach cobbler and banana pudding. The banana pudding was OK, it reminder me of when I was a lid and my mom use to make it with Vanilla wafers. The peach cobbler was served warm and was very good.

I'll be back again.

We stopped in for a late lunch after the eclipse. We got 1.5lbs of sliced brisket and it was very good. Great bark, good smoke ring, tender and flavorful. Street corn was different, but savory and delicious. The Mac and cheese was really good, kids loved it (adults did as well). The peach cobbler was also good. Meal was great all around.

It was pretty pricey, about $95 for 2 adults and 2 kids but the food was very good. Service was also fast and friendly.

I dropped by for lunch with the wife. Line was long but moved pretty quickly. Staff is helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. Brisket and turkey was juicy and full of flavor. Ribs are tender and seasoned well. Street corn has a little kick and mac n cheese is super cheesy. Potato salad was good as well. We will definitely be dropping by again.

I was looking for BBQ in Texas and I was very pleased. The sides were great. I wish I had room for dessert. The atmosphere is nice they have indoor/outdoor seating. I had the brisket and you have a choice of fatty or lean. The parking could be a problem but I was able to find a spot.

The Pirate Hunter’s Google Food Review with @AmericanFoodReviewerOfficial on IG is back for another 5 star gem - this time out of Austin, Texas!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Black's Barbecue in Austin, Texas, and I must say, it was an exceptional BBQ experience that exceeded all my expectations.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy, with rustic decor that added to the charm of the place. The aroma of smoked meats filled the air, building anticipation for the feast to come.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, where do I begin? The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a perfect smoke ring and a heavenly crust. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing the expertise and dedication that goes into crafting such outstanding barbecue. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, coated in a finger-licking sauce that left me craving for more.

But it's not just about the meats; the sides were equally impressive. The mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, the coleslaw was fresh and tangy, and the cornbread was a delightful blend of sweet and savory.

As you can see from The photos, I tried nearly everything on their menu and it is legit!!!

The service at Black's Barbecue was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive with

Overall, my experience at Black's Barbecue was nothing short of five stars. If you're in Austin and craving authentic Texas BBQ, look no further than Black's. It's a culinary journey you won't soon forget.

Great BBQ with good sides like Mac n cheese, coleslaw, sweet potatoes, green beans. I had the brisket sandwich that was delicious. It was busy but the line went fast. There's a nice patio but unfortunately it was too cold to enjoy.

Absolutely the best brisket I have eaten east of the Colorado river. Absolutely amazing food, service, and the cost is acceptable. Parking is sparse so be ready to look for a parking spot around the block. Well worth the trip into Austin.

This place is family owned since 1932, oldest in Texas.
The Brisket just melts in your mouth and the Beef Rib has an amazing chew and great flavor. Good sauces and sides too.

Great BBQ! Add this to your Austin BBQ list asap. The Turkey surprised me the most- it is better than at Terry Blacks. Pulled Pork was fantastic and the beef rib.. wow! When you order the beef rib they alway weight it with the bone which makes it more expensive but whatever- it was so worth it!

Recommended the place by a local; they were not wrong. Went twice in a few days!

Had the fatty brisket with slaw and the potato salad. My partner also had Pork Ribs.

The brisket is absolutely spectacular. No more needs to be said.

The pork ribs were tender and succulent, with a delightful smoky flavor that added depth to each bite. The beef ribs were a true delight, showcasing a rich and robust taste that lingered on the palate. And let's not forget the beef brisket, which was masterfully cooked to perfection, boasting a mouthwatering blend of spices that elevated the overall flavor experience. From the first bite to the last, the BBQ joint truly delivered a remarkable and unforgettable taste journey. If you're ever in Austin again, it's definitely a must-visit!

They don’t seem to smoke their meat on site but I understand it’s brought in from their other location. That being said this place was great. Everything you want in Austin BBQ without the 3 hour wait (Franklins). Would recommend highly. This BBQ is about the meat, the side come second here.

The first time I have eaten at this place, I think as far a meat goes it was good. I have had better bbq before here. The bbq sauce was more of a vinaigrette base and more tangy than sweet. The service was ok, one lady was friendly here but the gentleman was not. I would go here again and try the rest of the meat options when I’m back in Austin.

The BBQ here was immaculate we got Street Mexican corn and Mexican Coke. We also ordered a full barbecue chicken along with double meat of sloppy joe which is shredded brisket and smothered in barbecue and a thing of brisket

Holy moly was this a great BBQ meal. Brisket, Turkey sausage were all done to perfection. The brisket literally melts in your mouth. You can cut it with a plastic spoon. So good. Definitely top 5 in Austin. Fantastic location, plenty of seating, ample portions great vibe.
Gotta come back soon.

The meat is so tender. Very generous portions. A pound is perfect for three. Barbecue sauce is excellent. Everyone is nice. Outside deck is covered and great for enjoying Austin.

Black's BBQ has the same great taste as all the expensive BBQ places, without the price. We were able to get 1/2 pound turkey, 1/3 pound brisket, half a chicken with 5 sides for around $40. The turkey and chicken were moist and almost melted in your mouth. The lean brisket was still pretty fatty, but tasted good. The sides are larger than what I expected to get. The green beans surprised me with their flavor and non-waxy texture. The indoor dining area is quite small and the line was out the door when we got there. Overall, would eat here over the expensive BBQ places.

Best barbecue!!! The perfect Texas barbecue, we ordered a few pounds of BBQ including brisket, giant rib, chopped beef and sides; coleslaw, Mac n cheese, corn & baked beans. Nice patio right outside, we had a food coma after that but it was worth it. Definitely a must try if you visit Austin!!!
