Courtyard by Marriott Birmingham Downtown at UAB

We have been traveling to Birmingham for 2 years now and have stayed in a different hotel every time because we have yet to find one that meets all of our needs. We finally found the perfect place for us this time and will be staying here from now on for all of our future trips. The staff are EXCEPTIONAL!!!! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and always with a smile! The location is perfect for our needs and I love that it's connected to the hospital, which is the reason for our trips. There were also so many places within walking distance for food and even groceries. The rooms were spacious, clean and aesthetically pleasing. And I just have to mention again how amazing the staff are! Thanks for a wonderful stay!!!

If you have to travel to UAB hospital for anything, this is the place to stay! The staff is friendly and helpful, the lobby smells absolutely amazing, the house keeping is wonderful and they do an amazing job, the rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The place even has a laundry room and gym on the 2nd floor.

Very convenient to the hospital. The room was very nice. If I ever have family in UAB again I will certainly choose this hotel to stay in.

The rooms are pretty good. They are kinda smaller than expected but it was enough for us. The parking wasn't bad but I suggest paying for the Marriott parking pass if you don't want to do parking decks. The service was amazing!! The front desk helped me out so much on this troublesome trip. The food at bistro was ok but it's a little on the expensive side especially with so many options around the hotel. So all in all great stay and thank you everyone at the front desk I will stay there again!

The service from the staff was outstanding. And the location was adjacent to the Hospital, which is what we needed. I have to say the the hotel itself is getting a bit dated. Our toilet needed to be jiggled each time we flushed, the bed was too high for one of us, but we managed. The laundry room was a bit dirty and machines should be updated to take cards or get charged to your room. Loved the Bistro and Miss Tracy made a great breakfast sandwich for me every morning. We had a Medical emergency and the staff was so kind. Thank you everyone.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet and clean. The hotel was close to Jefferson clinic and Kirklan clinic. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay .

Rooms need a little updating however they are very comfortable. These are not large rooms. I have never seen friendlier and more accommodating front desk assistance. Bistro is good for food with nice people. Not meant for large crowds but perfect for solo travelers or small families. If you are at UAB Hospital this place is perfect.

Not only was our room immaculate, and the service from staff over and above expectations The Bistro receives a 5 star rating from me. The atmosphere, food, and service were the best I have had in many years. The location was great as it is a short walk through the sky walk to UAB Hospital.

Staff was wonderful, the room was perfect, and the proximity to the hospital made a stressful situation much easier.

Have used this hotel a few times now while undergoing treatment at UAB. Nice rooms, staff are great, and the location can't be beaten if you need to stay for the hospital. It is a bit pricey if paying full price without a social worker at UAB helping with the cost. They will also validate your parking. You will park at the 4th ave parking garage. No smoking in the hotel and no pets. Would recommend.

The hotel is always clean and the front desk employees are always really nice and very helpful.

Conveniently located next to the hospital providing easy access to your loved one. The rooms are spacious and at least during my stay the hotel was relatively quiet. But please understand you will be next to the hospital so you will hear emergency vehicles throughout the day and night. But it is worth the trade off if you need access to the hospital. The Bistro located on the first floor is pretty good and not too expensive. There are plenty of other food options all around the hotel as well as a convenience store right around the corner for all your last minute needs. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great service! The receptionist is absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect!

They are all very professional and willing to help you anyway they can. I stay here often so I can go to UAB to my doctor. Everyone I've met here are pleasant and go above and beyond to make you feel special.
The rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable. I will continue to be a regular at the Courtyard.

Great stay! The proximity to UAB Hospital was a plus. We enjoyed the convenience of the bistro for our evening meal. The shared parking deck with UAB made things simple. Well informed and courteous staff took great care of us. And the room was the best.

Didn't stay overnight - just visiting. But what I saw & how I was treated was fantastically wonderful!

Hotel is super convenient to the UAB hospital. The rooms are clean and a minor plumbing problem we reported was fixed within minutes. The hotel staff is very courteous and friendly. Kristy at the front desk is awesome in her willingness to assist with questions, concerns and recommendations. Hotel food service was better than expected given these covid-times.

90 day stay for outpatient radition therapy. Excellent housekeeping,front desk staff. Front desk has info about nearby restaurants, a map of UAB buildings.

A second stay(15 days) by myself. My love in intensive care unit. They treated me like family. Made a new friend in Karen M.

This hotel is conveniently located attached to the hospital. The staff was amazing and was ready to offer suggestions and help us with anything we needed. They did a good job during the coronavirus keeping everything clean and everyone separated. I stayed there after having brain surgery and was really happy with the cleanliness and comfort. The showers were pretty awesome and super clean.
