Holiday Inn Birmingham-Airport, an IHG Hotel

The location is great to get around the city because it’s close to the interstate. But it can be loud if that bothers you. I was on the side where I can see the intersection and just so happen bunch of muscle cars were doing donuts in the middle of the road. Few minutes later the police came with all the sirens. Other than that it was pretty good for next two nights.

The full service bar closes early but they have a decent selection of food. Breakfast is great if it’s included in your room , but it wouldn’t be worth to spend $18 for the breakfast buffet. But I must admit it was not busy at all and the workers kept the area very clean.

My favorite part of the room was the shower. The massage shower head water pressure and heat was the best.

Staff really friendly & helpful. Close to the Airport & a shuttle.
My only negative is that the walls in the rooms are very thin. You can hear people on both sides.
Bed was comfortable!

I had a wonderful stay. All staff members I encountered were very friendly and attentive. My only issue is that my TV remote did not work, and I wanted the sound to drown out airport/traffic noises. I called the front desk about it. They said they would send up maintenance....I did not receive a visit. HOWEVER, they could have just been respecting the Do Not Disturb sign I forgot I put out before I called them. I didn't bother calling back, due to being embarrassed. So I will not hold it against them

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and my experiences have been great. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and I enjoy the bar and grill. This has become my go to hotel while attending events in the area. My only complaint is the cable service because it was hard to surf through the stations and the guide was slow and I tried to access forensic files but it wouldn’t come up.

Stayed here for two nights. The staff was super nice and i like how it seemed like everyone who works here like everyone likes each other and gets along. I saw Danielle both days we were here, she greeted me every time and was especially helpful at checkout.

Unfortunately as a VIP the visit was Short only a few hours. Excellent 👌 Parking lot staff, vehicle was friendly, greated and helped with a last minute item, didn't have to go to a nearby walking distance convenient store, bell carte was used properly. Although, a fire Extinguisher was missing on the 2nd Floor .. and I thought the Huge TV was Mine along with a few ups parcels. It looked excellent. Along with the one of a kind Bike. The Bar area was amazing but closed early. For the most part Quiet. Electronic Sounds were loud. t

Our stay was very nice, the 12 pm check out felt amazing versus other hotels I've stayed at with a 10 am checkout. The breakfast buffet was better than other hotels as well. Anyone complaining about the "rude breakfast lady" should be ashamed of themselves. If any of them were the ones that were there when I was, they were acting like babies and being needlessly ugly towards her while she was just doing her job. If any of you see this review you should be ashamed of yourselves for not being able to act like adults. It was clear when we booked the room that breakfast was not included, so we paid the extra for the breakfast for two adults. It's sad that people can't do a little research, read a sign, or listen to the staff without soiling themselves.

Had a business stay here overnight and the entire staff was absolutely amazing! The room was perfectly clean and the Steel City Bar and Grill inside the hotel did not disapoint. Front desk exceeded all expectations I had from previous stays with the IHG brand. Give Danielle, Andrea, Angel, and Ashley all a raise ASAP!!

Danielle at the front desk is awesome! The hotel is a little dated but the staff is great and a perfect location for early flights.

I would like to say that I have spent the night here. 2 nights in a row, Due to the fact of me having to take care of a family member at a local hospital making sure they were okay. I have felt welcomed, the beds are comfortable. The air conditioner's work, the food at the bar. Super quadruple are very good and the atmosphere amazing.

Danielle at the front desk responsible for check ins is the best. She was extremely nice and courteous and easy to talk to. I would recommend my friends and family from out of town to come to this location. Customer service is the best especially with Danielle and the rooms was excellent 👌

The lady who made my reservation was very nice and accommodating. I had a special request for the room, and she made sure to take care of it for me.

Everything I needed. Danielle (10/10) at the front desk was fantastic as well when I ran into an issue with booking.

This is absolutely the best place to stay at the airport! All of the staff are so helpful here. The shuttle drivers are kind, l will mention Sammy.
I had a horrible mix up in my reservation which was my fault. All were so kind, the manager was able to accommodate me and I will not forget it.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was very clean and tidy!!! I loved the scenery walking in, and the food is amazing. I will definitely be staying here again. I was so happy with my stay. My husband is in the military, and he is very hard to please when it comes to hotels. However, he agreed that this was a perfect stay as well. Very pleased!!! Again, will most definitely be staying here again when it comes to all of my Birmingham airport matters.

I love this hotel. I have reason to stay here 6 times a year to catch a plane. The customer service is exceptional. Everyone from front desk worker to the men that drive the shuttle to the security and maintenance professionals. The rooms are clean and quiet and I feel safe as a woman traveler in an iffy part of town. I look forward to each visit.

This place was awesome, but check-in a nice young lady named Danielle assisted me with checking in and was very pleasant to talk to. The restaurant was absolutely great. Great prices and great food. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again.

We had to take a trip to Alabama for my uncle's funeral, it was a short trip, and we needed lodging near the airport - this was a perfect location for us. We were greeted with smiles, and the staff was very kind. Our room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the daily turndown service as well. We only stayed three days and two nights, which was worth it.

We had a great stay! We were in town for a music festival and found the staff to be VERY professional, friendly, helpful,and accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the cleaning staff gave us fresh towels daily and made sure our beds were nice and cozy. We were greeted at breakfast by smiling faces,which makes all the difference. The staff even played music in the lobby the whole weekend that was similar to what everyone was in town to hear and provided shuttle service to and from the venue. Those small details really made a huge impact on all of us and just added to the fun of the weekend. Can't wait for next year!
