Hot and Hot Fish Club

This is my favorite restaurant in the city. We've been several times and each time has been perfect. The food is always delicious. We usually sit at the chefs counter, but reserving a table is worth the experience as well.

Without fail one of the best dining experiences of my life. This place has cemented in my mind the importance of James Beard awards when deciding where to eat in a new area. My wife and I visited Hot and Hot and were greeted with a comfortable upscale experience. Service is performance art and the wait staff are nothing short of perfect. Nate P and Bob (who some may recognize from his time at the also amazing Bottega) were consistent and attentive.

I would normally try to describe some of the food but I think the pictures will speak more than a thousand words here. I'd confidently tell anyone that they could order anything here and not come away disappointed.

Overall, it was a great culinary experience. My girlfriend and I wanted to eat out at a nice restaurant while on our trip to Birmingham, and this one did not disappoint. We were not very hungry, so we didn't get an appetizer, but the entrees and deserts were amazing. The duck was my personal favorite! My girlfriend also agreed that it tasted better than the fish she ordered, and we ended up swapping plates.

EXTREMELY RECOMMEND this restaurant. Their menu varies based on availability throughout the year. Anything you try will not be a disappointment. These cooks are directed by the greatest chefs in Birmingham, and they will exceed your expectations. Based on our experience, we will be returning, shortly.

We had a group of seven people. The service was excellent! Drinks were creative and delicious. Our courses came out timely and correctly. I highly recommend this restaurant

Hunter and Tyler were excellent. I had a great time. The only feedback is don't order the tuna. It is served with the fatty tissue you see on chicken that rips the meat apart? Get the snapper instead. Easy better choice. Beet salad was nice too. Perfect crunch.

Wow! Dinner at Hot and Hot was amazing from start to finish. They had great drink options and the cocktails were perfectly made. The appetizers were wonderful, especially the tomato salad. I had trigger fish for my entree, served with jumbo asparagus and blueberry panna cotta for dessert. It was a bit of a splurge but worth every penny with impeccable service and innovative flavors. Can't wait to return!

Fabulously romantic evening on the patio! Our server Carlos was so knowledgeable and friendly! We told him we love a slow paced meal like we are in Europe and that is exactly what we got! Drinks were great! I had the cranberry sparkler with mezcal instead of tequila. And the food perfect! We got the tomato crab pie and beef tartare for appetizers and the duck and snapper for our entrees. For dessert we ordered the carrot cake! It was the best carrot cake I have ever had! Definitely a gem! And request Carlos!!!

First time visitors tonight and it didn’t disappoint. Tyler at the bar made amazing cocktails and walked us through the menu in detail. He was so knowledgeable and had awesome recommendations! We adored the red snapper entree. Darren also helped to ensure our evening was perfect, he offered phenomenal service and was such a joy! It’s a rarity to find impeccable service and Tyler and Darren went above and beyond! Thank you so much!

Popped in for the 3 D's: drinks, dessert and destination planning for next year. Had a specialty cocktails from the menu and a seasonal dessert that made me take teeny tiny bites so it would last longer!

6/2/22 Southern freshness at its finest! The Iron Chef knocked it out of the park! Had the okra basket appetizer, chicken roulade and strawberry lemon tart! Enjoyed the seasonal cocktail menu, too!

Great food, service, and experience. If you are looking for fine dining, look no farther. You will need to make a reservation to ensure you are able to get a seat as this restaurant is always crowded.

The food was great, and the wait staff did a great job of taking care of us. Nate made sure we enjoyed everything that was served.

Hot and Hot Fish Club. Where do I start? Simply put this place is delicious and worth every cent. I truly enjoy everything from their well thought of drinks to their savor shareable. The main course never disappoints. I definitely recommend you get reservations and bring the people you love here, cause it’s going to be memorable evening.

Fantastic dinner, fantastic service! We started with the charcuterie board - perfect for 2 or 3 people. I went with the perfectly prepared Prime NY Strip. My wife had the duck, my son the short ribs. Finished with carrot cake, tarte tartin, and bread pudding. Everything was delicious and the service great (Don was awesome. )

The experience to have dinner at Hot and Hot Fish Club go beyond my expectations, although for a place which name say Fish Club , I miss more fish option at the menu. But anyway everything that we ate it was amazing the balance between the different tastes, make us enjoy a lot every single plate at each of them was very well combined.
The oysters as started were a great way to open the dinner and we shared as well a noddle soup that it reminds me that moments when your grandmother take care of you. We choose a spainish white wine that with the main course being fish fitted incredible, as it didn't cover the fish plates at all.
If you have not been there please make your self a git and go to enjoy with them! the waitress are amazing too.

Service is outstanding. The waitstaff knows the menu and is able to assist. Cocktails are classic, balanced and on-point. Entrees are delicious, though be warned the portion sizes are on the small side. Not quite big enough to share. It’s very very loud in the restaurant, so be warned. Pork chop and lamb crepinette were outstanding. Scallops were a bit rubbery but full of flavor. This place is great and consistent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Hot and Hot Fish Club. We got the charcuterie board appetizer, which was phenomenal! We also got the filet and the pork chop, and both were great. We will definitely be back!

Each course was cooked perfectly with incredible flavor. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful experience.
